Thank you but 567.96 MB just for security patches?
It'll be minor stability or late-in-test issues ... wouldn't expect to see any significant changes, just essentially a "launch firmware" revision to optimise anything uncovered in last few weeks. Maybe even removing some bits of debug code they could have included to track any problems.

Downloading. Suspect it will mostly be security patch update. The file is I think too small to have been updated to include Daydream etc.

Any updates for axon for here on out (if any) will more than likely be just security patches. Also ZTE scrapped Daydream completely on oreo, didn't even bother to try and code it so that will never happen.
Yeah, I think the same. Axon 7 is pretty much abandoned and almost EOL. Certainly doesn't make me want to buy a new Axon 9.....
Has someone tried? Is it only a security patch?
Seems to be. Nothing new there that I've found.
They promised Oreo, but its halfbaked. No saturation control and some other stuff.
Never ever zte again
How to install the update ? I downloaded it from the server the full package. In the past you should have to rename it to update.zip
But now its not working anymore
Or do i make a main mistake ?
Update:
Got it. It was my fault. Had to extract the real update.zip into root. :good:

thats no need for that, as they say is only security patch from january, no more changes are built.
since we are expecting Pie, until then will be 0 news on updates just security patches, wich doesnt mean some patches can improve some battery life but no much more than that.
my belives is really only that, since i flash every update and v20a, v20b, v20c, v20g and now v20h all of the previous the changelog is only that "security patch" nothing more.
we need to be patient until july when Pie will arrive to our devices.

Had the update for three days, GPS is fine.
Finally not related to the OTA upgrade. After lots of tries, solution was turning it off, leaving it there for a while, seconds, a start it again. Restarts didn't help, no clue if that have any sense.
Updated today.

Thanks Matt. Do you have knowledge on how to upgrade to the beta Pie. I have tried with LG UP as I am not rooted with very little luck
H 870 V20J has arrived, but the security patch is in May. H870 europa for accuracy italy
v20j for the Israeli version installed, using LGUP
Only change I see is the introduction of the camera AI. (interesting but doesn't really improve the photos)
No change in performance or other features (although it did an upgrade not a clean install)

So if I'm on beta 4.1 and take this update it will put me on stable release. And if I unenroll immediately after the update I should be placed on the stable channel? No qpr updates n such?

"If you’re currently enrolled in the Android Beta program, you’ll get the Android 13 final release and remain enrolled to receive ongoing Beta updates for Android 13 feature drops, starting later this year. If you’d like to opt out of ongoing Beta updates without needing to wipe your device, just visit the Android Beta site and opt out after you get the Android 13 final release and before taking the first beta for Android 13 feature drops."

Don't know if my phones bootloader is locked, but I bought it direct from T-Mobile US. Instructions for sideloading using ADB are on the top of the download page. It didn't wipe my phone and it's quicker than an OTA install. https://developers.google.com/android/ota#oriole
Anyone get it OTA yet? Purchased unlocked from Google and on AT&T; nothing yet for me.
Trying to sideload the OTA image file downloaded from Google, using latest version of adb, seems to getting stuck at "serving: 'oriole-ota-tp1a.220624.021-a13fd9d0.zip' (~3%)" - phone displaying "Verifying update package..."
I've sideloaded OTA images in the past without any issues, anybody have a suggestion?

When you say "using the latest version of adb", are you referring to the latest version of Platform Tools? Are your drivers up-to-date? Try using different cables and/or ports?
Yep, latest version of platform tools. Have tried 2 different cables (one of which is the one that came with the phone). Will check for driver updates, but have used this same PC to perform previous updates on my Pixel 6.

You can update manually, if you wish, by downloading the firmware from the asus support website and leaving the zip file on the root of the phone. A popup will appear upon reboot asking if you want to update.
I am on the latest and see no difference, unfortunately.

No, OTA functionality is intact, until you unlock the bootloader
I got the OTA of this update overnight
The the processing feels faster IMO but no quality change. I was also getting my screen stuck at 60hz after unlucking and the update seems to fixed it. Which is nice
No real improvement. I'm waiting for a fix when shooting raw - it takes 1 sec to take a picture after pressing the shutter.
I don't see any change in picture quality, sadly.
