[APP] Shopping Cart v 5.3

** version 5.3 available now! **
I originally posted this application in the Blackstone forum but having since modified it to support most resolutions I decided to post it in a more general location. Here is the original thread.
What does it do? It allows you to create, save and manage shopping lists on your mobile device. You can create them on the fly and save them for future use, or you can create a master shopping list with common items that can be put into a new shopping list for whatever adventure you set forth on.
It also includes a Windows (PC) based utility for those "power" users who like to manage large, multi-tab lists. It simplifies typing up large lists of items and it also transfers them directly to your device if it is connected.
Information:
You no longer need to uninstall previous version(s) before installing the latest version!
If you have AppToDate you can use that to update the application to the latest version!
This requires .NET compact flash 3.5!
This supports Windows Mobile 6, 6.1 and 6.5.
Supported resolutions are 240x320, 320x320, 240x400, 480x640 and 480x800 in both portrait and landscape modes.
Downloads are in post 2 or you can use AppToDate to update it.
If you create your own language files please upload them to this thread so I can include them with the application!
Upcoming:
Add language support for configuration utility and save/open/browse dialogs. Currently only the main application supports alternate languages.
Possibly adding price information option per item (this would toggle-able by a setting).
Possibly adding finger gesture recognition for different things.
Possibly adding SMS support.
Possibly adding Today plugin.
Possibly add D-pad support.
Version 5.3:
New features:
Shopping Cart Companion - You can use this tiny application to easily create and manage lists (both standard and master lists) from your PC and transfer them directly to your device.
Fixes:
Optimized code greatly for larger lists. Opening a large list, e.g. 40 items per tab over 3 tabs opens in 5 seconds instead of 30. This has a huge impact on older / slower devices.
Version 5.2:
New features:
Shopping lists now have the typical elastic rebound effect when a list is scrolled beyond the beginning or end of a list.
Fixes:
The position of a shopping list no longer automatically scrolls to the top of the list if you click an entry that is below the "first page" of the list.
Version 5.1:
New features:
Save As menu option for new lists.
New setting to save a new list automatically.
New option under Settings/General/SIP. Show automatically when entering: Enabled, Enabled in Portrait Only, Disabled.
Fixes:
Exporting all marked items of a master list to a regular list doesn't work when using "mark all items".
Exiting from the master list without saving or anything says that the user tried to save the masterlist as a regular list.
Various errors with save dialogs not appearing and files not being saved.
Version 5.0:
NOTE: You will have to uninstall the previous version because of the name change! Otherwise you will have both applications installed!
New features:
Landscape for all supported resolutions. This is currently only within the main application screen, not the settings screen, save/open screens, etc.
New initial GUI upon start of application (enabled or disabled by a setting)- a "home" screen with more intuitive quick-launch buttons to access application features.
New option on long-press-hold over an item - copy item text to input field.
Language files included have been updated with the new entry above and need to be translated. When you do, please upload them to this thread.
A new setting to prompt a user to overwrite an existing saved cart rather than just doing it.
Application will be renamed to "Digicast Solutions' Shopping Cart" from "cRaCKwHoRe's Shopping Cart"
Fixes:
Intermittent application errors / crashes when deleting / duplicating items / opening and closing SIP.
Application not remembering last opened list.
Saving a list sometimes doesn't actually save it. This is fixed.
I am trying to prevent where a list of items scrolls back to the top if you are scrolled down and click an item.
Downloads
The files are below. Shopping Cart Companion needs to be extracted. It requires .NET 3.5 framework on your computer.
Also, here is a link to all the .NET 3.5 compact framework installation files.
You specifically need to have:
NETCFv35.wm.armv4i.cab
NETCFv35.Messages.XX.wm.cab (where XX indicates your phone's language)
It's looking good!
Quite similar to another program that's actively being developed right now.
Some comments:
If I click X in the upper right corner to go out of the program, it will do so without any chance of saving the file.
The font on the first page is really small on QVGA
I like the categories at the bottom. However, they are not finger friendly. It would be great if I could use the directional pad to move to the next category. Or even better, if they could be scrolled with your finger like the lists.
I like the fact that you can just click an item to check off, no need to be exact about clicking in the checkbox.
When adding selected items to new list, it seems as nothing happens. Shouldn't there be an option to name a new list?
Also, how do you go back to the main page, when you're in a list?
Since the lists layout/functions seems to be the same, couldn't there just be one list layout, and at top it would say whether it's the master list or a shopping list? So on the front page, there are 2 options: master and today.
I would prefer to add categories from the front page instead of where you add items.
Skip menu options that are not applicable to the current list , i.e. add items to new list, categories, master list etc. when you are shopping.
How do you delete a list?
Great with the Desktop companion! However, if there is nothing on the list, and you try to save as Master, it stops responding.
Also in the Master list on the Desktop, I don't see how to copy selected items to a today's shopping list.
I really like your settings and help option screens.

Misc reqs

Hi,
First of all - love the app!
Second, I'd love it even more if you'd add support for the following:
1. Add a smart group for apps not in any other groups. That would make it a lot easier to sort things.
2. Add support for more icons in each folder of the launcher. We all have hobbies and interests, and with those we are more or less bound to have more apps supporting those hobbies/interests than will fit in the default folders.
3. Make it easier to save settings from a theme, to either re-apply if going back to the theme or to import parts from into a new theme. For me, an ideal candidate would be an "app page" with my favorites easily accessible. This page, actually, is the main reason (along with all the pain of reverting with all my settings if I want out) I don't try out more themes.
Cheers,
Lars

Hi, thanks your support!
1. You mean the Unknown Smart Category?
2. You mean having more icons for the Custom Smart Categories. A feature like that will be added in the future.
3. You can save a theme by going into the main Themer Settings - Advanced Settings - Export Theme. A feature like saving 'pages' will also be looked at in the future.
Thanks for the suggestions

Thanks for replying,
as for #1, the unknown category doesn't really cover it. I have apps that aren't in any categories at the moment. Is it possible to reset one category only? That might pick up newly installed apps, but it seems the unknown category doesn't pick up all apps not sorted into other categories...

We'll pass this onto the developers, thanks!

[DEV] NFC Unlock

Hi, I've been building my own N5 ROM for a while now but don't have the time to release/maintain/support it plus there are plenty of other options out there that are very similar. BUT, I recently got me an NFC Ring and so wanted to build NFC unlocking into the framework and this is something that currently can only be achieved using an Xposed module so I thought I'd share the code.
First of all, a huge thanks to MohammadAG and qwerty12 for their work on the Xposed module here as this is what a lot of my changes are based on.
The first thing I did was modify Nfc and Settings apps so you can choose when to enable Nfc Polling...
Polling off
Screen off
Screen on and locked
Screen on and unlocked
Screen on and locked only - this is a new mode i've put in that turns Nfc on with the screen and then off again once unlocked. As I only use Nfc on my phone for unlocking, this is really useful as its nice on the battery and doesn't prompt with the empty tag viewer every time i unlock!
Then, using the Xposed module as a basis for the code I added Nfc unlocking into the framework and Nfc app as well as a new item under Security Settings where you can add/remove tags that are allowed to unlock.
In terms of security:
the Nfc tag acts as an override to whatever other lock screen you're using, pattern, pin etc.
The tag contents are only handled if the screen is unlocked. If polling is set to 'screen on and locked' then the tag will be picked up as soon as the device is unlocked but there's no way for an unauthorised tag to have its contents handled while the screen is off or on and locked.
The unlock is triggered from the Nfc app as an intent, it's probably possible to trigger this intent from elsewhere but the tags uid is checked from within the keyguard while handling it so the uid needs to be known and passed as part of the intent for this to work.
It's all working nicely for me so far but given I'm not massively familiar with the guts of the android lock screen security and creating new UI's, there's probably room for improvement.
So, ROM devs feel free to add this to your ROMs, giving credit where credit is due and let me know of any fixes or improvements either here or as pull requests on my github. The modified repos are here:
https://github.com/AospPlus/android_packages_apps_Settings/commits/aosp-plus_4.4
https://github.com/AospPlus/android_frameworks_base/commits/aosp-plus_4.4
https://github.com/AospPlus/android_packages_apps_Nfc/commits/aosp-plus_4.4
So I fully apologize because I know this is not the right place to ask this question, however, this is exactly what i'm looking for.
'm running an n5 with elementalx 1.00 and rooted stock 4.4.4. I would like to add this functionality to my phone, because i too (****ing eventually) have a NFCRing.
I'm not a dev, so i understand that this request is tricky for you to help me with. but anything you can suggest, to avoid dealing with the xposed framework or the relatively useless functionality of the NFC ring unlock app, would be greatly appreciated.

rom that puts google settings under account and gets rid of accessability settings

i don't know if this is the right section if it's not please move it
i am a perfectionist when it comes to things being Clean i've installed lineage and a couple of mods and gotten my phone the way i want it, what bothers me is two things, the giant GOOGLE section in the settings panel so now theres two google settings one under accounts and one under the main settings panel, i want a rom where this is moved under accounts i hate any kind of branding i've gotten rid of all google like Icons and text i want my phone to visibly be as free from google logos or text as possible, Another issue i have is accessability i don't use it i only use and i wonder who messes with custom roms actually does use any of those help features, the one function where apps require it can be put under system , i'd like to get rid of that entire section and have the accessability for apps feature moved to the system section
these are things i'd like for a rom and i wonder if anyone likes the idea enough to do it, basically modify lineage and make those Changes, will Android break if you mess with the settingspanel? i just want to move things around to keep it cleaner i for example also wanted network settings and blutooth etc to be combined into one section all connectivity data, wifi, bluetooth etc.
actually i just noticed Android pie has the google settings removed

How to get back a one-page settings menu in the V30/V30+?

I strongly dislike when apps like to split up settings menu for me trying to dumb it down for the average user. Instead, I want back the one-page settings menu instead of sorting it into multiple pages.
Is there a native way to do it, or an app that emulates every feature of settings on one page? Or, how can I hack this to show a one-page settings menu?

Thank you, but this does not put them all on one page, it puts the categories on one page with many submenus, unlike previous phones I've used. It does get rid of the tabs though so it's an improvement

That's the max that can be done with Lg's UI
You must have been running some custom ROM or UI or something because Android by default - any version - has never had a single long column for Settings that provides access to every possible option. There's always been a category list, then submenus in each category, and so on.

Maybe I'm used to Touchwiz which has fewer subcategories and a much longer settings page (Galaxy S5, Galaxy S7, Note 9).
Just looked at my S5 and it's sorted out by categories all on one page:
WIRELESS & NETWORKS
...
DEVICE
...
PERSONAL
...
MOTION
...
ACCOUNT
...
SYSTEM
...
Click to collapse
Where I wrote "...." that is a list of subitems (instead of typing every menu item out on this post) all on the same page of the home page of the settings screen. This is on S5 with Kitkat, but note 9 and S7 are similar.
Would like to get that same menu back on this phone.
