Question What's the camera/sensor thing above the flashlight? - Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

I've been trying to figure out which cameras are which, and i could find every one of them but the thing above the flash? I know it isn't a camera but what is it?
Tried to search everywhere and can't find anything about it.

You didn't stare directly at it, did you?

You know what they say, never look into the laser with your remaining good eye.

Written on it, it's "Laser As Frick". Even cats are afraid to chase it.

@Jaxom84 I have edited your post to remove profanity. You are warned that the language you use must be acceptable to the general public:

Do not attempt to circumvent the profanity filter. "Laser AF" in this case means "Laser Auto Focus" and while I can appreciate your levity, I don't appreciate your attempt to circumvent the XDA Forum Rules.

Ok, sorry, wasn't meant to circumvent anything (fully at fault here).

[Q] getjar.android.client What's this?

Hi everybody,
maybe this is a stupid question, but I would like to understand why since I've installed GetJar app on my Nexus One, when I open Dalvik Debug Monitor I see the following process (please take a look at the screenshot).
Thank you in advance, I just would like to understand if there is something to worry about

I've noticed that Getjar runs constantly, even when not in use. That's why I freeze it with Titanium unless I actually need to use it.
Ehm... and did you have any side effect doing so? Is there anyone who can tell us why the hell getjar is always running? I wish it's nothing malicious.
Thank you for your answer jesusice

I've had no ill effects. I don't think it's malicious, I just think it's a poorly desgned app and since I use it infrequently I'd prefer for it not to be running contantly.
I think I'll do as you do, I'll freeze the app. Thanks again
Do you have the first version of Cut the Rope 1.0 installed? The one they gave away for free as a 0-day promotion. If I'm not wrong the getjar service is part of the Getjar app market much like an android market service. You can safely uninstall both Getjar app and the service after you install Cut the Rope. Hope this helps.

While I disagree with the way he said it, he has a point. This is a completely duplicate thread...you even acknowledged it with your thread title 'Yet another "Show us your Home Screen" Thread'.
Why bother with adding clutter? You could have simply posted in the already existing thread. It's not as if that thread doesn't have any posts, it's quite current.
When a thread becomes more than a few pages long it is worthless. 42 pages on the current post your home screen, really? How long would it take to surf that thread? Nope, not going there. It just like something you don't like on TV or the radio, there are buttons to change the channel and an even more effective button, it's the OFF button. Works every time. If members here don't like the title of a thread don't click.

Takes about 10 minutes. If all you're looking for is screenshots, less. *shrug* no matter. Duplicate threads get shut down fairly quickly on Xda.

Francis Chong ( split cam developer....i think) stated there would be no split cam for android
https://getsatisfaction.com/ignition/topics/can_develop_splitcam_for_android_cause_its_awesome
i havn't tried it out, but based on the feature your looking for, Funny Split Camera might be an alternative
(its not free though )
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...ndroid.funnysplitcamera&feature=search_result
also ( not android related ) if your looking for a photography program that would let you clone yourself, try adobe photoshop ( but thats for computers )
There is an android app just for that, called Clone Yourself
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lyrebirdstudio.clone
I will have to try this out now

I have bought both and i can say that Clone Yourself is way better. It takes full resolution images(13mp) against 1mp, much better paint option with resizable brush tools.

Project:
Loop-Anime is a Anime Website directed to people that loves anime and watch multiple animes at same time. Usually, users have the tendency to lost themselves in the episodes of one or another of some show and its really difficulty to keep a track of whats have been seen and whats up to see.
There's when loop-animes comes in, loop-anime has a agile track system that helps users to mark animes they enjoy to watch or not and track their episodes along when they are seeing it. Therefore the user doesnt need to have a 3rd app to help him out watch the animes. Also the website has a video player builtin so the user can watch the episode and mark it as watched right away.
There are a lot more of personalisation’s and settings but lets stay by here.

It's global. It will block double click ads (not a bad thing), sometimes other mild glitches and may slow browsing down a bit on some sites. Close browser/reopen or refresh the page normally fixes it if it acts up. The very few sites it totally blocks probably should be avoided.
I rarely disable it. Been using it a couple months now.
