I have installed several treble gsi ROMs, android 12 and 13 with and without Gapps, the problem is that in all of them when using my Ecuadorian operator "Claro" the calls arrive but I cannot hear the person speaking, however the internet data mobile work. I already tried to fix the problem by changing to manual network and selecting my operator, also changing to 3g or 2g network without success. I have seen problems with these gsi ROMs with qualcom processors, and in fact there are some flashable zips but they use the ims architecture that apparently the Samsung Galaxy A02s does not have. It would be very helpful for me to have an answer to this problem, because if I don't solve this issue I will be forced to flash the original Samsung version and sell it, which I don't like since the performance on GSI is exceptional.

Need some expert here for help before I use ODIN to restore the factory firmware package.
Currently have G925W8 (Canadian Rogers) and currently running Int 5.1.1 rom on it. All of sudden my phone can't make or receive phone calls. I mean when I tried to make the phone call, it just ends right away, and no one can call in to my phone number either and goes to VM directly.
I tried different kernel (Arter/Hacker/UniKernel) and different rom combination...Still no GO...
I tried to apply Mr.X Audio Patch too (not sure how many patches are there, but I only download the one for Mr.X audio patch for 920T) and it doesn't work either.
I know in G925W8 forums talk about different BL/Modem, different combination and no go either.
Please note my phone works perfectly and I can get the internet connection (LTE) but just can't make the phone call. Even now I won't use the phone much but still need to have the phone work.
I think the major issue is when I am in the phone, go to call settings -> More Settings that give me an error "Failed to Read data Network or Sim card error".. I though it's my sim card, but i plugged it in my 1+1 and have no issue making/receiving calls..
Anyone that have any idea?!?
calling in out
had the same problem, in my case i installed an original samsung 5.1.1 and a kernel to root the phone, i got the same as you, everything worked but the phone.
only way to get out, is download from samsung firmware repository or sam mobile the EXACT ROM FOR YOU MODEL AND CARRIER (i cannot emphasize enough the CARRIER) believe it or not if you want to install an original rom you must respect the carrier for a custom rom it's something else altogether
in your case you odin with the rom of you phone/carrier IF IT WORKS (NOT ROOTED) I mean ccalling in/out, then install a different kernel in order to root.
if it works then your previous kernel (as was in my case) was the culprit
good luck
the carrier is where you bought the phone or the cell co affiliated to the store where you bought the phone, there's ALWAYS a link from "A" carrier in your phone

Hi, I downloaded and installed Lineage ROM, everything was working fine but I found that I was not able to send text messages (receiving messages was okay), I tried change values under test menu (*#*#4636#*#*) but problem persist.
I tried clean installation of new ROM (Aosp).
I tried install new firmware from:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/re.../firmware-xiaomi-redmi-note-5-5-plus-t3759683
And baseband from :
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=746163614322262750
And finally, text messages are OK, unfortunately I am not able connect to 4G/ LTE networks now. Only 2G and 3G networks are working. LTE services were working without problem on original Miui and Lineage ROM.
Can someone try help me how solve it ? I would really appreciate any ideas.
Do you think this can help?
https://androidfilebox.com/app/redmi-5-plus-modem-firmware/
Thanks in advance and happy weekend
i have the same question! +1
I tried fresh install original MIUI ROM, but it did not help
http://en.miui.com/getrom-340.html?m=yes&mobile=2 .
LTE is not available still.
I did not try this method still: https://androidfilebox.com/app/redmi-5-plus-modem-firmware/
But I don't have another option I guess.
With LTE no Problems = https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5/development/rom-omnirom-t3823189
Unfortunately LTE is not working on this ROM (Omni) for me too, but I expected it, because as I wrote I tried original MIUI as well. It's problem of wrong firmware, baseband, modem or something, because hard reset or flashing new rom don't fix it. Btw, this morning I was in big city in my country and my phone was able connect to LTE, but it was 1800 or 2100 MHz, which are available only in bigger cities. When I came back to home, it showing only H+ again. It seems my phone is not able to connect only to LTE on 800 MHz (B20) currently, which is most widespread LTE frequency in my country and this one is only available one in my location. And I was able connect to this network before. Unfortunately I don't know how I can bring it back.
Solved.
My friend share her .xqcn file with me (she has same phone) so I flashed modem file via QPST Flash Tool to my device. Xiaomi started receiving LTE in my location- B20 frequency band, unfortunatelly it was continuously connecting and disconnecting between "no signal" and 4G.
The next step was flash MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM 8.8.9 to my phone via Miflash. LTE seems be stable and fully working now.
Hello,
I've never encountered this installing roms for years on various phone. I installed lineage OS 16 and tried several other roms, and the phone always freezes after making a phone with the dialer. I immediately thought it was because it wasn't my default app, but it is. I then tried changing APN settings and preferred network type to other settings, but nothing works. I get data fine and can text, I just cannot make phone calls. Does anyone know what is wrong?
figured it out: Had to flash h931 modem found in the rom in this thread.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/development/lg-v30-att-h931-20f-rom-t3872926
maybe this will be helpful for someone as I saw no one mention the need to flash different modem for a US 998 conversion.
I have been facing a weird issue for a while, in my rn3 snapdragon,
when i try to call to some of the numbers. from my jio network the call never connects, i.e. it ends instantly.
I am able to call other nos. from my jio sim, so i guess volte is working fine, idk.
I think its some firmware related issue, coz facing this in every rom even in MIUI
PS: its not a network or sim related issue, coz i have checked the same sim in other mobile, and i was able to call those nos. perfectly.
Also, i can receive calls from those nos. which i m not able to call
I can't able to find solution anywhere. Please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any help/ solution will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Facing this issue for almost 5 months now, and can't able to resolve it, flashed various firmware both by fastboot and recovery, flashed various Rom both stock and custom, also tried miflash & QFiL
I want to try and enable VoLTE and wifi calling on Three uk on a J8110 as the signal is marginal in the two locations I'd like to use the phone from and coming from a samsung S7, I can see that the phones a few db's down on signal to start off with, so I really need the VoLTE or wifi to make the phone useful to me.
Now under this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-1/help/google-dialer-volte-t3975441
They say they managed to get VoLTE going using root.
1. Root
2. File Manager with root support
3. Go to /oem/modem-config
4. Delete "anysim" folder
5. Rename "S9033.1" to "anysim"
6. Go here " https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=80231731&postcount=395" and download "VoEnabler.zip" From the Google Drive link
7. Put "VoEnabler.zip" onto your device and install via Magisk and reboot.
8. You should now be able to use VoLTE and VoWiFi.

So my three questions are;
Is this likely to work? e.g allow VoLTE and maybe wifi calling
Will it break safetynet by rooting the phone? (as I use internet banking)
Will it break anything else like DRM keys.
I see there appears to be multiple rooting options for Android these days if I can do the above is there a particular rooting method thats more likely to preserve the safetynet compatibility?
And maybe the DRM keys.
As I'm only interested in Enabling VoLTE and maybe wifi calling.
As an aside to that I see in this thread, https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-1/help/enable-volte-ee-uk-t3958112/page3
That some people on EE have got VoLTE working without anything special is this just because EE is just a network sl*t and just allow anyone on there system?
Best Regards

If you're on the Customized UK firmware, VoLTE should work by default.
I have the Customized UK firmware downloaded and I just checked, and it does include the required MBN file for VoLTE on H3G in UK. I am on the Dual SIM J9110 however, but I reckon it should be the same on the single SIM J8110 as well.
Yes, rooting will break SafetyNet on the Xperia 1. Magisk Hide works on some banking apps, but some of still fail to work once the bootloader is unlocked.
You will lose DRM keys, but from what I've heard, they are restored if you re-lock the bootloader.

Yeah can confirm its not working on three uk, as other have already said in other threads..
*#*#4636#*#* > Phone info > VoLTE provisioned is grayed out.
Also cannot access three on the 800mhz LTE band 20
TBH three when I spoke to them just wiped there hands of the issue and said we don't sell the phone so speak to sony.
So much for industry standards.

You could try the method that enables the VoLTE toggle. In theory it should work with just that because the required files for IMS registration to work are already included in the modem for the Xperia 1.
why not just flashing another FW before losing DRM keys while rooting
we had a user he used a non European Market Xperia 1
no option for voLTE or Wificalling
after flashing the European FW everything was working just fine for him without any kind of rooting
I have flashed South East Asian (SEA) on mine and it has option for the VoLTE in the Network & internet > Mobile Network
It has Enable VoLTE and it can be toggled on and off. (although we don't have the VoLTE here )
If they are already providing VoLTE. Flash SEA firmware.
