None of the v50 or G8/G8x series will have the impl set to 0.V40 and up LG started locking it down.Some have had success with G7 and G8 models doing a chip erase,but not all.I have a G7 Verizon variant I repaired that way.Octopus box is supposed to fix the issue you're having,and I assume it's repairing the IMEI.One thing I do want to add,I have had success repairing the IMEI modifying the modem file on a G8x variant,but it still says it's permanently locked and can't be unlocked.

I found several G8x with IMPL=0 here, then likely they were modded.
Found a tutorial to do it on V60 too.
Oh you did it but still locked? May I dm you for it?
Actually I made it to have impl=0 but seems incomplete and unable to repair the imei..

IN that case, impl=0 is no use. Better re-flash your backup

I think some developer can build a tot firmware from all partitions dumps. ? I can build tot firmware for some old LG models, but new to LG G6. I will try..

NO... All US carrier except rs988 are bootloader signed thus locked tightly Cant root nougat without bl unlocked first as the system is checked if I am not mistaken by verity checks..

Without root exploit and twrp there's no way to cross flash firmwares.

NO
The tmobile variant of the lg v series phones always have different encryption keys than all the other phones. You should never attempt to put the tmobile firmware on a non tmobile variant or vice versa.
Furthermore crossflashing does not work with LG Up. Tried to flash mine LMV600EA Taiwanese version with LMV600EA EU fw and no go. Someone said that there is a hardware lock preventing crossflashing but statment does not present any facts or explanasion.

The phones from other regions may also have different encryption keys. Regardless the cross flashing for the v30, v35, and v40 were mostly the result of patched lg-up that allowed the crossflashing.
The main board may be made by andifferent manufacturer like the usa galaxy phones with snap dragons and European galaxy phones with enxoyos processors. How every you spell it.

I see there are some comments that it is able to convert LG V60 Tmobile to Open Canada since they are same code V600TM.
1. Is there anyone tried?
2. How about the US Cellular firmware when compare with the Open Canada?

Crossflashing does work on certain V600EA versions (Mainly on Europe variants) and on the V600N Pre production models, the US Versions all have IMPL Locks

The phone is built for S.Korean users... so network setting might be set up for South korea's one.
Maybe you can try to flash other variant firmware, such as V600TM or V600VM, but still can't guarantee to use successfully.
