Voice Out Small App, Simple TTS Client

I wrote a Sony Small App to use the Android built-in TTS engine.
It's basically a TTS Client and I hope that someone will find it useful!
It's free and Ad-free!
Download at Google Play
or
download the apk here: View attachment 2284311
Voice Out is a simple Text-to-speech client that makes your device speak texts with the Android Text-to-speech Engine (TTS). Your phone must be capable to run Small Apps and have a Text-to-Speech engine to make it work.
To check if you have a Text-to-speech Engine installed, go to Settings -> Accessibility -> System -> Text-to-speech output.
Tested on Sony Xperia Z Ultra with the following TTS Engines:
- Google Text-to-speech Engine
- Pico TTS
- Ekho TTS (余音), for Cantonese and Mandarin support
This small application access your device clipboard to get the copied text so you don't need to paste it manually.
This small application can be minimized or moved around the screen.
Small apps extension for Sony products.
For the users who doesn't have a device with Small Apps support can always try the Voice Out for Android 2.1 and up available here:

Sounds good but how do you use Google TTS engine ? I don't have it on my phone , is there an apk available ?
Thanks
That's strange, what phone do you have? Z Ultra?
Try to install the Google Search and see if it comes with the Google TTS Engine:

Honestly I don't know where the Google TTS came from, I though it was installed by default but now seems it's not the case.
I never installed a Google TTS apk but I installed the following apps from Google, maybe you can give them a try one by one to see if it comes with the TTS:
Google Search
Voice Search
Google Translate
Maps
Google+
G+ Photos
Hangout

Apps data

Hey,
I'm switching phones. From Samsung S5 to Samsung S7.
The S5 is set to backup to Google so when I switch phones I'll have my app data resotred automatically. I set my S7 the same way.
Made the data transfer with Smart Switch and all seem good but... the app data isn't there. I need to sign-in to each app again and some of them where the data is kinda important (swiftkey as example) don't seem to have any data on them and ask me to set it up and so on.
Even the wallpaper and basic Andoird settings I have on my S5 are all on default with my S7.
Any idea what am I missing?
Thanks!

Android 8.0.0 Dual Messenger enhanced feature functionality (not rooted)

Hi All,
This is my first post and apologies in advance if I have not put this in the correct forum.
I have activated the dual messenger functionality on my samsung galaxy J7 (2018) model running android Oreo 8.0.0
Only Whatsapp messenger was chosen to be activated - skype and other messenger apps have not been activated.
What I have noticed is that progressively system apps are started to be duplicated in the app list and also have the orange symbol in the bottom right hand corner of the app icon. I can only find these in the app list - applications such as app detective do not list the duplicated app in their app lists. It should be noted that power and memory consumption apps do list the duplicated system apps as running or using resources.
To date the following apps have been duplicated without my prompting:
Android System
Android System Webview
Badgeprovider
Chrome
Google Play services
Google Services Framework
Google Text to speech engine
Key Chain
Phone
Settings (triplicated)
Settings Storage
Is this normal for this functionality - the duplicated instances are of slightly different sizes and use different memory. I just cant find anything anywhere that explains why these are gradually appearing in my app list. I have tried disabling one instance - but it will be labelled as disabled but continues to use memory and mobile data.
Your help in advance is appreciated.
Regards
JD

Question Multi-user profile enables

How to enable a Multi-user profile on S23 ultra?
Unable to find the option in accounts and backup
It's not native you'll have to use an app like shelter or island
Edit: its not native to samsung but it's native to android. But you still have to use shelter or island to use it.

Question Tmobile video calling on unlocked S23 Ultra?

Is it possible to enable Tmobile (USA) on factory unlocked S23 Ultra?
According to the research I've done this issue, native t-mobile video calling curently not possible unless you flash t-mobile firmware. Otherwise you'll have to use a third-party app i.e. Google meet, whatsapp, FB messenger, etc.
