Welcome to XDA. I strongly suggest you read the XDA Development Policy and edit your post accordingly.
Additionally, you must post your kernel source, per the XDA GPL Policy. This is mandatory. Failure to do so will result in links being removed from your post, and this thread will be locked.

Any idea on if or when decryption will be availible?

Could you possibly rebuild this with twrp 3.7 so we can use it with the recently released aosp 13 build? I'd do it myself but i'm not sure exactly how.

I would love to have that also. Or even one of the other recoveries.

ROM can't be installed
Today I wanted to give this ROM a try but it won't install. I've flashed through TWRP and have the patched bootloader, but the script doesn't install the ROM. I've attached a screenshot from TWRP to show my issue. The Log says "Unmount of /system failed; no such volume" but a few lines above the script pushes SuperSU to /system.
Btw, my device is D722

FAQ
F2FS
This Rom supports f2fs since the latest build. Don't ask me, what it is. Just google it.
Instructions for f2fs:
Download the modified twrp recovery for f2fs based from here and flash it
Save your data, your whole internal storage will be formatted soon.
Put the latest rom build and gapps on your EXTERNAL sdcard
Format data and cache to f2fs using twrp recovery
Flash the rom and gapps
DO NOT FLASH A KERNEL, WHICH DOES NOT SUPPORT F2FS
If you want to revert back to the usual ext4 partitions, format data and cache with twrp recovery to ext4.
Reporting Bugs
You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread.
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. The following is a useful format to follow.

Flash latest SuperSU zip from TWRP recovery......it will be rooted Link - https://download.chainfire.eu/969/SuperSU/
In my case because of my broken volume down key ROM always boots up in safe mode......It kept booting up on my stock before I installed custom roms for my device.... but then I found 300k tool to force boot directly into download mode but now this ROM is not having root access and when I go to developer options and click on root access I can only see adb only option and also same with file manager when i want to go to root access mode I cannot see the option! For those working volume button people can get root access be flashing latest SuperSU!
@Ruturaj Kadam, @Shref
Built-in root was removed by the developers LineageOS. Root only through flash SuperSU with ROM or flash SuperSU.
:good: good and thanks, but i'm will waiting stable release

Problems I founded from my experimental use
First of all, I should say I'm a Chinese middle school student, and my English level might be bad, please understand me.
I use Galaxy Mega 5.8 GT-I9152 Chinese version with I9152ZCUANA1 based official ROM.I flashed Lineage OS 14.1 through TWRP 3.0.2 about a week ago, and I found that there's something didn't go on well. First, everything about thumbnails can't work (this bug is known by you) and I can't use any way to take a screenshot although the apps which need root access. Second, I found that some apps cannot be runnable when I reboot my device such as Coolapk, PalmInput, Netease Music and so on. They were force closed when I open them.
Third, battery information from Notification Bar should waits about 1-2s to look up current battery status.
That's all. Thank you for compiling this ROM for old GT-I9152. Many of users are using your ROM in China and they're shared by me. Hope you do a better work.
omg thank you very much @Kiborg_Man :good:
First of all thanks for the ROM, it's very smooth.
But I have these issues:

I have root access after flashing the ROM, but when I flash SuperSU through recovery, I always lose root, but when I uninstall SuperSU from reinstall option I get my root back.
Updater won't work always shows error that my phone is not connected to internet, even I am using in another apps.
I am not able to download apps through play store using mobile data. When I click on install button it indefinitely goes into "preparing for download". but works properly when I am connected to wifi.
Hope you will fix the bugs and known issues....
Update:
Instead of flashing the SuperSU(even if you flash it won't become a system app), I installed the latest apk of the SuperSU and the root is working now (though when I enable trust "cm settings" it won't).

[RELEASE] F2FS bug fix kernel (Qualcomm)

I patched the kernel for 7.1.1 on Qualcomm Moto E4 Plus. This is useful to get Magisk fully working with modules and settings that can be saved.
I compiled the fix from the released kernel source: MMI-NPR26.58-25
Here are the unsigned boot.img and zImage, use whichever one suits your fancy to patch the kernel.
Download boot.img
Download zImage
Edit: I've uploaded a build for the regular Qualcomm Moto E4 here.
Installation:
You should backup your Boot in TWRP before installing, that way you can restore if something goes wrong.
If you have Magisk installed, you'll want to patch the boot.img using Magisk Manager. Just tap install, and patch boot rom image. Then copy the patched file back to your computer to flash it.
Easiest way is to flash the boot.img while in fastboot:
Code:
>fastboot flash boot /path/to/downloaded/boot.img
Did not work, phone would not boot after flash, had to restore stock kernel.

Hmm, having tried it myself, I see that without patching the image with magisk from inside magisk manager, it seems the rebuilt boot image does not work. But it does work after it's been patched in magisk, so you can try that.
Here's a link that's already been patched with Magisk 14.6 beta: https://drive.google.com/open?id=13vaUgq22fNnVnWqq5ai9kGC1KsO3ZEmJ

If you point me to the kernel source you specifically want patched, I can make it. You'll have to test it for me though, as I don't own the regular E^4.

Thank you very much for taking the time to do this! Especially today. Just to point out how I installed the kernel, I simply flashed it as an img with TWRP, flashed the no dmverity/forceencrypt zip, then flashed Magisk V15.0 that was just released. It stayed on the n/a screen a minute then bootlooped a couple times, but it eventually booted just fine, so be patient with it. I had the latest Boost firmware installed and Magisk v14.6 at the time. Enjoy!

Though the kernel I am currently working on is slightly modified more than what is provided here, the OP only has the fix for the f2fs loopback issue, as described here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70492947&postcount=8793
You can download the stock kernel build source from Motorola's own repository here: https://github.com/MotorolaMobilityLLC/kernel-msm/releases/tag/MMI-NPR26.58-25
Also, I admit that I'm currently in the process of porting Lineage 14.1 to this phone, but it may take more time than I had originally planned for. It's not a priority for me at the moment, especially considering how much I like the stock rom.

Well dang, I'm working on porting lineage 14.1 to this thing too. Maybe we should join forces.
And moto's source is in a zip file, I was hoping I could get one that was unzipped and in a github repo already, for easy syncing when trying to build Lineage 14.1
Thank you for your work. I agree that stock isn't too bad with root magisk and Xposed working fine. But lineage is pretty tasty! I will shoot you both a PM if I can assist in any way

That sucks to hear, but although I do actually like stock on this device, that's why I build custom ROMs. Budget Motorola's never get updated more then a few times. Hopefully it will get added for future devices and ones that don't get abandoned at least.

Hey @SeanStar would it be possible for you to do this on the latest update for the kernel on the E4 Perry please?? The reason being is this one can't be used on the latest update of the firmware, it fails to boot all the way up.

Hey @SeanStar would it be possible for you to do this on the latest update for the kernel on the E4 Perry please?? The reason being is this one can't be used on the latest update of the firmware, it fails to boot all the way up.

Considering there is no kernel source for NCQ26.69-56 on MotorolaMobilityLLC github, you're SOL, there's no easy way to patch it without the source. Sorry bud.
EDIT: I wouldn't try to downgrade either, I'm sure they updated the baseband. You'll probably knockout your service if you even try.

[ROM][A5010 | dumpling][8.1.X][OFFICIAL] LineageOS 15.1 (Oreo) for Oneplus 5T

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.
Code:
#include

3rd PARTY ADDONS/MODS
While we have no issues with people using supersu/magisk/xposed/custom kernels/etc, we can't provide support for users who have them installed.
This thread is not the right place to discuss about mods/addons.
HOW TO INSTALL LINEAGEOS
- Make sure your phone is running Oreo firmware (from OxygenOS 5.0)
- Remove custom encryption pins/passwords else decryption will fail!
- Download the LineageOS zip(s). (see Downloads)
- Copy the LineageOS zip to internal sdcard.
- Unlock bootloader and install TWRP.
- Boot into TWRP.
- Perform a backup of your current ROM. (Optional)
- RECOMMENDED: Do a factory reset! No support if you didn't!
- Flash LineageOS.
- Optional: Install the Google Apps addon package. (see Downloads)
- Reboot
HOW TO UPDATE LINEAGEOS (15.1 -> 15.1)
- Download the LineageOS zip(s). (see Downloads)
- Copy the LineageOS zip to internal sdcard.

Send your patches up for review: https://review.lineageos.org/
At SourceForge (found at downloads link above) we also occasionally provide firmware zips or custom built TWRPs.
We use them when developing and also make them available to others, but please note they are unsupported.
They are good enough for us developing but might not be good enough for everyone's usecases.
@codeworkx is trying to upstream the changes we did to TWRP and created a thread for that, if you need some more help.

Yes, i am one of the Lineage OnePlus5(T) maintainers and this is what you will get, when official nightlies are starting.
Only difference though is, that i am building with "sdclang", official build servers build using the default toolchain.
// edit
to clear up confustion, previously my github and general username was "Evisceration", nowadays it is "amartinz".
Bit off topic, will Lineage get exchange support in the future?, as now its missing in all oreo roms (not gmail with addons)
Thanks for new rom and your hard work. It is nice to see on op5t forum great devs
btw, until official builds, there will be few more builds ? Thanks

Yes, there will be more builds.
we put up builds whenever we see fit, means if there are new features or things to test or if more fixes are in.
We do not want to waste people's time with flashing roms when there are no changes at all
Super glad to see you here! I also see codeworkx has already uploaded the TWRP for 15.1 (8.1) and can't wait to try this when I have an off day to mess around with it!
@Evisceration What is yours suggestion for root ?

Alright, so it seems that it is not on the bringup item list.
It seems CAF did a single commit regarding exchange in 2017 so seems not a high priority for them as well.
And the people who usually worked on exchange are not active since some time, so it does not look promising.
Seems everyone is shifting focus to gmail or other third party apps.

I personally use the built in root via adb.
Magisk should be fine but it annoys me when i have to reflash it everytime when i flash a new kernel.
That Kingoroot thingy from china seems really suspicious to me and i would not even touch it with a pole.
Though, use whatever you see fit, I provide some limited support helping out to get stuff running if someone runs into troubles but my support time is not infinite

Ok, thanks for letting me know, i use the exchange/email package from CM/Lineage 14 and its still fully functional.
As for root: SuperSU-v2.82-201705271822 still the best.
Do you know when the migration from 14.1 to 15.1 will start? Tom is running beautifully but I'm missing so many features.
Ok, tried flash clean with magisk, without no verity ( I am decrypted) , got bootlop.
New try : clean , rom, gapps, magisk 15.2, no verity booted fine
Everything seems fine, fingerprint working, camera also.
Some pictures

You can best follow the current development state by having a look at the Code Review.
Many features are in work, listing some below as example
Deskclock - https://review.lineageos.org/#/q/topic:deskclock-o
Live Display - https://review.lineageos.org/#/q/topic:oreo-mr1-livedisplay
Download speed and manual pause/resume support - https://review.lineageos.org/#/q/topic:oreo-mr1-download-provider
Button lights (not interesting for the 5T though) - https://review.lineageos.org/#/q/topic:oreo-buttons-lights
Even more button settings - https://review.lineageos.org/#/q/topic:oreo-mr1-buttons-redux
Long press to kill app - https://review.lineageos.org/#/q/topic:oreo-mr1-kill-app
Advanced reboot menu - https://review.lineageos.org/#/q/topic:oreo-mr1-rebootmenu
bfqio (will have a look at adding it to our kernel as well) - https://review.lineageos.org/#/q/topic:oreo-mr1-bfqio
CDMA - https://review.lineageos.org/#/q/topic:cdma
so these i found with just having a quick look at the review pages, took me 20 times longer to write this than actually find it
Things simply take time, but are processing good.

glad to hear!
i am encrypted though, modifications like removing encryption etc are not tested by us.
I did a clean wipe, format data, then flashed rom with 8.1 unofficial pico gapps and 15.2 magisk. When i boot up, the phone boots back into the recovery. Using the 8.1 recovery from the OP.
Any ideas?
Great work! I'm very happy to see this! Downloading...

Is this supposed to say "OnePlus 5"?
Questions:
What's the status of Privacy Guard?
I assuming we're currently encrypted with keymaster1. Will be be migrating to keymaster3 at any point in the future?
Thanks!

This is great news!

No. I assumed that was required if one wanted the rom decrypted or something.

Just flash rom and gapps, reboot and setup device. Then reboot to recovery and flash root.

I haven't tested it. It should work fine
These are the commits I made for encryption on the official twrp
I haven't gone through your source in detail but you may find it useful for comparison of files

Yes, this TWRP is based off of squid2's trees (will fix history soon) with Nougat arm64 crypto blobs
one small question: is this the version for future LOS 16 builds? for 64bit builds?

Does this also work in Stock Rom?

This is a recovery image so you can flash it regardless of what rom you are using (you can flash 32 or 64bit roms with it)
However as you are on stock rom I would recommend sticking with my official twrp recovery especially if you use encryption due to encryption bug in this recovery
I wanted to use this to Switch to a 64bit Rom Rom for the first time. I have always been afraid, because i wouldn't be able to restore my stock backup. Would this be possible With this Recovery?

If you want to restore stock flash stock firmware via fastboot and then restore your backup using the twrp which created the backup
You can probably just restore the backup using the twrp that created it without flashing stock firmware first but just in case the custom rom alters anything that isn't restored with the backup
Make sure you backup efs partition just in case of a loss of imei

you need to unlock your bootloader and flash this TWRP for treble to work. i believe you then need to flash a rom which supports treble before you can flash your desired GSI

You need to install a treble-enabled ROM. Currently it seems like there are none on XDA.
@JarlPenguin It's cool to have an updated TWRP for 64 bit but please fix encryption.

Encryption doesn't work on which ROMs?
No idea, I only read the OP + Thread history. The OP says that backup with encryption does not work and the thread history has no fixed or somewhat.
Sent from my cedric using XDA Labs
P.S.: This isn't meant as a "INSTANTLY DO THAT I WANT IT!", I can try to help but I have zero experience at Android internals (and Android recoverys).
I have currently no encryption, is it save to use it for backups?
@JarlPenguin ?
