Hi guys, just a quick one to share a discovery I've made over the last couple of days. As a lot of you may be aware, Chrome browser only supports stereo audio output or PCM. Microsoft Edge browser however will output Atmos sound so you can have Atmos when watching Netflix in the browser if you use Edge. Happy watching!

Just wonderig what settings can be used to get the audio from my BD's to play correctly in stock video player.
Ive tried Serenity and I Am Legend. I tried AAC(faac and other one), AC3 (pass thru and ff*something), MP3(lame), even DTS. tried stero, dolby surround, pro logic II, various sample and bit rates.
No matter which combinations i used i either got no audio or audio that was out of sync...behind about 2/3 seconds maybe.
Anyone know of an audio settings that will allow stick player to play audio without issue.
*Dice player played some of these fine, others with lagged audio....but i would like these to play stock player.
Thanks

Personally,I've never had much luck with the stock video player.Mobo Player has a free version from the market and will play just about anything using the soft decoding setting from within the app.
Unfortunately I can't offer any advice using HB, I do all of my conversion/transcoding using mplayer/mencoder. I would think that any standard mp3 bitrate would work. You may need to lower the video quality a bit too in order for your phone to have enough CPU to keep things in sync. That is assuming it's in sync when you test playing on a computer with something like VLC...
If you'd like, I'll check the rates of some files at home this evening and let you know what rates I have for them.
As far as playing the files on your phone, the best app I've found is MXPlayer. Well, and XBMC to play from my DLNA server over the network
Mxplayer and esfile to stream over the network

I'm looking for a way to stream audio from my S3 to a DLNA capable device. I know, a "popular" topic, I know I can use bubble, skifta, etc.. to play file locally on my phone on dlna devices, that works fine, but what I'd like is a way to get Pandora, Spotify, or really any other app to stream to the dlna device( XBMC fyi ). Ultimatly I don't understand why we don't have a way to take whatever is playing on the phone, regardless of the app, and redirect the audio to another device( Video would be great too, but not getting my hopes up ). Personally I feel this is the one thing Apple users have over us, and the one thing I miss from switching to android a couple years ago.
So does anyone know if there is a mixer, app, or ROM that will take whatever is on the audio source and redirect it to dlna, kind of like bluetooth will play anything also, however I'm not a fan of the bluetooth audio quality at all. Currently I'm running CM10 and AOKP most of the time, if ROM choice matters.
Hi Folks,
Is there anyway or any browser that lets you stream directly via a stand alone media player like VLC or MX Player?
I've just upgraded to a Oneplus 3 from an older trusty HTC M7 (great phone)... On the HTC I used the Dolphin browser which allowed an add-on called Jetpack, which, to cut a long story short, allowed for a much better in-browser streaming experience. You have the same functionality as you do in a stand alone player - you can can control brightness, volume and fast-forward / rewind - all by gestures.
I was to find out that Jetpack is not supported in Nougat, therefore all in-browser streaming is handled by that player's movie player... which is old school and just gives you a menu bar at the bottom where you can control the usual, sound, video scrolling and full screen.
Ideally it would be great if you could click on a video and open it in MX or VLC and set that as default... But so far I've drawn a blank...
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Just found UC Browser :good:
Has anyone used any good modules or APK's to improve/increase the audio? If i watch any media i use VLC player as i increase it to 150% but if i am using other apps like Youtube it is a bit on the quiet side. I have just installed Viper4Android FX but not sure how to tweak the settings correctly.
