In UK yes, US/Canada no.
Goto Thread '(R&D) [How to] [Working] V5_Root S23Ultra (S918B_WA6)' https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/r-d-how-to-working-v5_root-s23ultra-s918b_wa6.4548883/

No easy answer, seems it's ongoing, user v Samsung. Assuming you bought from Samsung can only suggest you making contact with them.

Have you ever rooted a Samsung mobile before, especially a more recent generation version ?. Not for the feint hearted !!
I offer NO responsibility of any damage to your phone as a result of any information I offer or imply.
To be honest I cannot offer any easier instructions than the OP of this thread:

How to Root Samsung S23 (SM-S91*B/N/0) WARNING! Before you root your device you must be aware that This will void warranty. As of now you will lose Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass forever if you root once, even unrooting won't help. There are...

Hi,
Thanks for the answer.
if so, how can i check if my boot loader is indeed unlock?
Since early 2011 Samsung has only had unlocked bootloaders with the exception when a provider demanded it (like Verizon).
So yours is UNLOCKED.

1) The bootloader is not locked. Your post is based on rubbish and could potentially brick an international s3. Please only post things you understand, not dangerous nonsense like this.
2) "dis" and "ur" are not proper words. The language of this forum is English and you have a responsibility to use real words. Sure, you may use less-than-perfect grammar and punctuation but at least try to spell words properly if you want to be taken seriously*
*also depends on 1).

Post your cust/build found in Settings - About
8.0.0.xxx (Cxxx)
Huawei stopped giving unlock codes for unlocking. Anyway there is no point of unlocking bootloader, because there is no custom roms
To unlock bootloader just use:
https://www.dc-unlocker.com
DC Unlock app or HCU.
You need 4 credits, in my case I was on android 8 update already and it worked flawlessly!
I did it, because of root. Adaway/Magisk/Titanium Backup.

Klem.. You are wrong. There are a few roms available for the phone which, of course, require an unlocked bootloader. So. IF you have an unlock code, there are roms for international versions: US devices are limited at the moment. IF you don't have a code, then you are unable to flash anything.

Nonsense! I've unlocked my bootloader and flashed one of the openkirin rims, Resurrection Remix! It all depends on your model and whether dc unlocker works.

4$ it's not a big cost to try at least. Probably refund is possible as well using dc-unlocker forum. I have seen some people there which got a successfully refund.

Just keep in mind, If you will have some problems with Magisk. After flashing the Magisk in TWRP you are getting a bootloop, here is a solution:

Dude, don't post your IMEI!
Second, open Kirin has your back.
Lastly, there's always treble!

Hey everyone. I was searching the S9 forums and saw numerous posts about the bootloader being locked on US & CA snapdragon models. Is this true? Does this mean that I can't flash TWRP and install LOS?

Not sure about the CA variant, but the U.S. variants do have bootloader locked. Can't unlock and can't install TWRP or kernels.
You can however install GSI, I made a tutorial on how to do it here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s9/how-to/guide-install-gsi-s-snapdragon-s9-s9-t4044125

I can't find the combo for my phone anywhere. Do you know any good sources for combos? And I'm having an issue where anything I try to flash in Odin3 results in a SECURE CHECK FAIL: PIT message. Is there any options I have to enable to fix this error?
