Okay I have this weird problem and wondering if anyone has an idea as to what's going on.
I have the 7T Pro regular edition. Just had the charging port and battery replaced by OnePlus. I normally just carry an aftermarket cable and charger with me when I go out in case I lose it or whatever. But when I went to use this charger(2.4 amps) last night on my 7T it didn't work. I figured it was either the charger or cable. No big deal. But when I got home I tried the same charger and cable on other phones I have. Oneplus 1, Oneplus 7T and the new Nothing phone. The charger worked fine on all 3.
Anyone have any idea as to why this aftermarket won't work on the 7T ?
Thanks.

Hi,
i just went thru my second charger and I noticed whenever i plug a charger into my phone, my phone goes crazy. all the menu starts sliding in and out and all the apps starts opening up.
I have no idea what's going on, it just goes crazy!
when i use the USB charger that came with the phone it's fine. But I don't feel like carrying an adapter where ever i go.
does anyone have this problem with 3rd party chargers?
thanks
same problem with HTC HD2, some iPhones,Samsung Corby,... I think that the problem is in capacitive screen and some chargers.
I bought on e-bay USB travel charger for Blackberry Bold 9700 (original and not generic) with extra long cord. Works perfectly with mini pro
I bought a OEM Milestone charger before and I had the same problem.
So i tried X10 generic.
I can't find a OEM X10 charger that is for US.

this one is good quality (original blackberry), and works perfectly with X10 mini/pro. As a plus it has an extra-long shielded cord.

i have the exact same problem and i use the original charger that came with my mini pro.
hi
I am having the same problem but i know the solution and reason. these low quality chargers provide higher voltage than current and hence the problem. You should go for a high quality branded charger. I am using my old hp-ipaq charger with usb data cable for this phone and it works fine. i have also used the same cable with car usb charger from dealextreme and it works fine. Only the cheap ones will give this problem. Also i use that problem charger in case of emergency but i switch of my mobile first. It charges my mobile faster and i believe it will shorten the life of my battery.
I have the same problem with cheap chargers and cables from ebay, but the original charger and cable from SE does not give me any trouble.
I got this from dealextreme and it works great!

had some problems with car adapters..
found this on DX and works great!

Friends, the stock cable provided worked fine for me for 8 months and then it began twitching, I am looking for an alternative which is fully compatible with the Turbo Charger. I hope this thread will be approved. Thanks.
I would recommend you buy the Anker PowerLine Micro USB with Aramid Fiber.
This cable has charged various of my devices (all with fast/turbo charging) since almost two years. I use the Moto usb only for data transfer or when i need to use fastboot.

Turbo charging doesn't depend on your cable( unless you have a cable sitting around for decades ). Although you would not get the turbo charging notification still you can get the same milliamps. Use an app like ampere to measure that. I use personally use redmi note 4 charger cable and it also turbo charges.
Cable matters, tested many of them and not all of them can provide QC. Have positive experience with Aukey and its subbrand CRDC (even preferrable, as you will get same quality with lower price)
Use this one (really two QC3 ports, but a bit large one)

Quick charge requires a thin and a good conductive wire I hope ,I hope the official one should work just fine.
I have a charger that came with my phone, Huawei Mate 9. I recently bought another phone, Xiaomi Pocophone X1. I tried to charge the new phone with my charger (and cable) and it went into boot loops and ended up draining the battery instead of charging. I then connected it to the charger that came with it and it charged fine.
What caused this difference? I'm asking since I want to buy a backup charger and want to know what to look for (other than buying a Xiaomi original)
Whats wrong with Xiaomi charger? It doesn't cost a fortune to buy the original one. If you want another backup charger buy the original and save your time searching for a better one than original...time is precious.
Weird, i charged mine with many other charger like huawei qc charger, aukey qc 3.0 charger and oter generic charger too...
All no issue...
My last phone was a Mi Mix 2 and the USB-C port on it became lose and would not hold a cable (i tried at least 20 different ones) So i bought a Pocophone today on Amazon. How does the charging port on this one hold up? Has anyone had any issues with it?

It seems pretty sturdy to me. If your worried I would buy one those magnetic chargers where the port bit stays in the device. I bought x2 for my kids as we all know what kids are like with ports. An absolute must I reckon
But that cheap charger will charge other phones, including my new Nothing phone.
I just had the charging port and battery replaced.
Some other cables will only work when switched around. Doesn't make any sense.
Mainboard maybe ?
Any ideas ?
Thanks
I replaced the battery too. The alternative chargers charge it but extremely slowly... It takes like 4 - 5 hours to fully charge it
