I returned a 512gb S23U but bought the 1tb last week and it shows as Arm Cortex not Snapdragon. I am breaking the previous benchmarks in some applications. Anyone else got a Cortex S23U?

It is the same thing. Try another reporting app
CPU Z database is outdated, with adreno gpu it i definitely a Snapdragon.
You have the snapdragon gen 2. The app is showing the CPUs generic names i.e. cortex a715 and a510.

Ya it is a snapdragon. It still is getting the best scores in some benchmarks.

its fake of course as benchmark resulted with 1 score difference. There are some miscalculating with the kernel probably

Dude, I have already stated that I think it is fake. But looking into it more, it looks like an older version of the Rafael.baugis kernel which I think used to have a placebo with the clocking.

According to a couple of apps that I used to ID the hardware in this thing it has an
appo4k board,
Amlogic quad core a53 CPU running up to 1.4 GHz,
Mali-450 MP GPU,
160-240dpi
AndroidTV OS version 7.1.2 or 7.1.1 (about device and recovery show .2, one app used identifies .1),
kernel 3.14.29,
Supported ABIS: armabi-7a, armabi
The device does not come with google account, google services, or play store support.. Any recommendations as to which apks and versions would give me functioning play store? Links?
Any recommendations to better identify the hardware and software?
I do have developer mode turned on and access via ADB, but no root.

I did not.. I tried a bunch of different apks and all of them led to constant crashing and errors. I gave up and just use s FireTV stick
