There is NO user MSMtool to unbrick the oneplus 10T...
so no ones brave enough to make roms etc as without a safe unbrick method you would potentially kill the phone and it's to expensive to replace

There will only be custom roms for 10T after they release EDL unbrick method for users otherwise it's not safe to try to make roms for this phone.

I am not aware of any actual oppo shop in my country (UK) to help with unbricking the phone.
Oneplus merged with oppo that is the problem so now they wont release msmtool or any other EDL unbrick method so it's not safe to play around trying to flash the phone anymore.
They do have the unbrick method but refuse to publicly release it to us so no custom roms etc until that happens if ever.

他们确实有 unbrick 方法,但拒绝向我们公开发布它,因此在这种情况发生之前没有自定义 rom 等。

Huawei stopped giving unlock codes for unlocking. Anyway there is no point of unlocking bootloader, because there is no custom roms
To unlock bootloader just use:
https://www.dc-unlocker.com
DC Unlock app or HCU.
You need 4 credits, in my case I was on android 8 update already and it worked flawlessly!
I did it, because of root. Adaway/Magisk/Titanium Backup.

Klem.. You are wrong. There are a few roms available for the phone which, of course, require an unlocked bootloader. So. IF you have an unlock code, there are roms for international versions: US devices are limited at the moment. IF you don't have a code, then you are unable to flash anything.

Nonsense! I've unlocked my bootloader and flashed one of the openkirin rims, Resurrection Remix! It all depends on your model and whether dc unlocker works.

It's not like Xiaomi. Hard to recover if bricked. Also no benefit of unlocked bootloader no custom roms

so if i understand correctly, the reason there is no C-roms bc of the risk?
is bricking a high probability or regular, but just very hard to fix once it happens?
Not because of the risk. Because no karnel source is released. Once there's a Karnel source, Devs might work on it and make everything safer.

oppo tends to not open karnel source easily
Kernel source now available here: https://github.com/realme-kernel-opensource/realmeGT_AndroidR-kernel-source
Development may start soon if there are enough attention.

Since you can simply unlock the booloader, why can't you just install a GSI? Did anyone try?

Try Xiaomi Eu rom more options and MIUI dialer

Of course. No problem with. I did wait with my two phones, too. And exactly 7 days (7x24=168), in a minute (I tried unsuccessfully few minutes before passing the 168 hours and then unlocked successfully a minute or two upon passing 168 hours)
And if you google, you can find pretty reasonable explanation for that policy - they want to make it harder for resellers to buy the phones (for cheaper prices) in China, unlock BL, flash Global or EEA ROM and sell abroad (for the higher price)

I don't understand the language in video. Anyway, locked Bootloader prevents flashing
And don't believe to whatever YT (better read the stuff on XDA), otherwise you may sooner or later brick your phone and then, paying for the authorized EDL help will be costly
There are many people on XDA who followed one way or another some YT 'guides' (maybe the authors not providing full instructions or users not paying attention and not making their own research to read and learn before flashing something, or both), resulting by bricking their phones.
But they learnt the lesson for 30-50 Euros
Thanks
Hello all,
I plan to get a OnePlus 10T soon UNLOCKED model.
What are my prospects for installing a custom ROM now or in the future? I had a OP 9 a few months ago & only had it for a short time.
Regards
LC
We don't have a MSM tool which would allow us to restore the device from bricking... Until there is an alternative method to recover.... We might not see the custom ROM development.... Thanks to the OP becoming OPPO (or vice versa) and the greedy mindset of blocking stuff...OP is no longer dev friendly but yet another ******* company
How long would it take? It's a really powerful device

If I remember I'll do it once I get out of work but that's a little ways away still but I would just recommend doing it yourself by extracting your own boot images I can and send you a link if I get time if now I'll try to remember after work.

So you didn't flash the entire stock rom? Just the boot image? It is not clear.
For unbricking entire rom is usually needed so I was looking for examples of a full stock rom flash.
I am also looking for a stock version for CPH2417... payload.bin would be amazing.
I softbricked (bootloop) and had to use the CPH2413 (India) software (not good)
