Question Nokia X20 re-mapping "Google Assistant/Google Search key*" - Nokia X10 / X20

I was wondering if there is any way I could re-purpose/re-map the Google Assistant [dedicated] key [#3 on the picture] on the phone to start a different application instead? I'm interested in non-root option but if that is not possible what rooted phone also allows future updates on the official channels of the phone?

mmm, you can't root the phone (its bootloader is still locked, without any unlocking methods), but you can disable the button in Settings, then use apps like Tasker to assign the button to open any apps you want it to open

How to kill "Google Assistant" service nags?

So, often when I hang up a call or something, this irritating thing will pop up.
No, I don't want google to hear what I'm saying.
No,I don't need help trying to find store locations.
No, I don't want google to store my sex moans on their cloud.
how do I turn this off? Which service do i kill in DisableService, or if possible, which app should I freeze in Titanium for this asinine feature to go away once and for all?:fingers-crossed:
I can't go thru the list of Google services in DisableServices because the names are sometimes cryptic and the list of services itself is miles long. I also don't want to risk a bootloop or brick.

Thank you very much XDA'ers.
The only way I have found is remove the Google search app as that is where it is built into. It's what I do.

[Help] My phone apps say my phone is rooted after I have rooted another device

Hello.
I used Magisk root on LineageOS on my nintendo switch and I logged into my Google account (which I also have on my phone). I didn't do anything on the switch itself, didn't download any apps.
After this, probably because of the Google account, bank apps, mcdonald's app etc. on my phone (s6 edge android 7.0) spit errors about my phone being rooted (which it is not):

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I never rooted my phone, especially not with Magisk (don't know how to). I tried unlinking my Google account from the switch, uninstalling Magisk, even flashing switch android ROM again and nothing changes the situation on my phone.
Is there a way to fix this on my phone's side?
Thanks in advance.

hidden menu where I can force specific LTE bands?

I have the Chinese model and wondering if there's a dialer code where I can access a hidden menu to lock onto an LTE band? I was able to do this on my LG V40.
Or, is root available for this phone so I can do it with the app, Network Signal Guru?

Install shorcutmaster lite from google play , go to App Explorer > Setting > scroll down until you see this line (photo), touch the line and select Launch then you'll know what to do next.

Hidden apps to display

Hello guys! #firstpost
When I was fiddling (usually) with my Redmi Note 8, I was noticing there are some apps that seem accessible, yet can't be seen on home screen (MIUI 12.0.5.0 currently).
I'll show you:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I dunno why they're not displayed on home screen. I've sort of heard that they actually can't (I dunno if it's true).
So I come here asking for a solution, if possible.
Those are system apps, they aren’t supposed to be accessible.

Some system apps arent displayed pn the home screen, depends on the manufacturer.
Plus some system apps are just proccesses or vital system apps which cannot be opened.

[Question] Update Smart View on Stock ROM?

Hi everyone,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S10 with original ROM (currently Android 12 and ONE UI 4.1).
Smart View installed on system has version 8.2.16.44 (which does not support Google Chromecast) and my phone says it is updated.
I am aware that Smart View 8.2.20.14 now has the "Google Cast" option which re-enables SmartView to find and mirror the screen on Google Chromecast
I tried to update the application through the APK file, but the my phone blocks it
Is there a way to force app update as it is a system application?
