I pre-order my galaxy s23U so I have this phone from the beginning.
I didn't have any problems with wifi until February security patch update.
My wifi is wifi 5 (no 6 ) so I couldn't find any excuses for my disconnections on wifi.
When I realized the problem I tried to fix it running galaxy app booster from galaxy guardians, but didn't work.
1)Restart didn't work.
2)Format wifi cache didn't work ,so last step was to Hard reset my device or re-download rom and flash it from Odin....
3)As soon as I don't know how to flash rom from Odin I hard reset my phone and wifi problem solved...

Upgraded Galaxy S2 to latest ICS update available in India.
But after that Wifi is not working properly. WAP2 authentication is not happening properly.
Wifi analyzer shows good signal strength.
No notification for wifi shown in top bar. But in notification dropdown wifi is full green.
tried battery remove, wifi sleep policy change, password change and *# code to reset driver.
Any other help?

Are you sure the password you entered is correct? Because this problem shouldn't occur if you're on the official firmware and kernel. This MAY happen if you're rooted and have a custom ROM installed which is in a BETA state. This is normally a problem related to the kernel itself. You should probably try restoring your phone if the WIFI doesn't work at all. Or maybe you can restart the phone again and there might be a fix.
doing a factory reset also might help... it helped me in my case.
which from you upgrading ,via KIES or ODIN.try to download firmware then flash via ODIN.i m had the same case first time come to ICS.

BTW, I have some work around, for anyone interested.
On wifi router disable WEP encryption (not WPA), in that case S2 can connect to wifi properly.
But when WEP encryption AES or any other is enabled, it cannot connect to wifi.

I have noticed that all of a sudden in the past few hours my device has started to get very hot and when 3G is enabled the device suggests that all Wi-Fi connections are not in range, but when I dsable the mobile data, Wi-Fi connects fine, I was running the official LPM rom, and I decided to update to the latest release to see if there was a problem with the modem files, but the problem is still there on the latest rom.
Is this a known problem with the S2, or have I just got a faulty device?.
*UPDATE*
For anyone who may come across this problem, I have managed to fix it by doing a factory data reset.
If you want to try this yourself, then goto: Settings > Back up and reset > Factory data reset, then click reset device, (I didn't need to format if you are wondering)

I have an official firmware 4.3 Galaxy S3 UK Variant with no modifications. For about the past week the phone has decided to drop the connection to my Wi-Fi network if I got more than 3 steps away from the router. My router doesn't seem to be the problem since I have no such problems with any other devices like my laptop and the Galaxy Tab. Seems a strange problem since I have no idea why it has surfaced.
Any help will be helpful.
Reset router, factory reset phone, reflash latest firmware in that order.

Thanks for the reply. Done a factory reset which may or may not have fixed the problem, will have to run with it for a while to see the effect. Did have a look around this forum and others for a solution but couldn't find anything apart from disabling wi-fi power save.

Hotspot was working regularly before nougat. But after nougat update wifi hotspot feature doesn't work. It opens. Computer connect it. But there is no internet connection. Google chrome error code is: DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG
There can be internet connection maybe 1 of 10 trying.
Is there any suggestion to fix the problem? I made factory reset. But situation is same.

Works for me as well. I had that problem when I was still on MM and got rid of it after upgrading to Nougat and wiping everything using Flashtool.
I got pixel 6 2 months ago .. when I unboxed I couldn't connect to wifi cause it couldn't find any wifi network ... After February update the problem still remains even after March update... I can connect by putting my device in airplanemode then reboot the device and my device can connect to any wifi without any problem and I can switch airplamode off and still connected ... Who has this bug too van we find a fix for it .. and thanx..
I just got my Pixel 6 about a week ago and don't have this issue. The phone came with the Jan update and I updated to the March update (skipped Feb update because of its issues). Since this is likely a software issue, I'm thinking a factory reset (without restoring from backup) may help you?

Before the big hassle of resetting the phone, maybe try a smaller hassle first. When a network device has trouble looking up names it could be time to flush the router's DNS cache. For home routers this usually means a factory reset if the firmware doesn't have the option.
have you tried a network reset back to default values?
i cant remember where i saw it, but its a feature
Ive tried every method from network reset to factory reset to full flash firmware .... Nothing happened ... Same problem still there
Is this only happening with one access point? If yes, maybe the AP has a configuration which is not suitable for ur phone.
I personally never experienced any WiFi issues since I have the mobile.
