Change region via Full OTA.

The Russian version definitely has a Realme dialer, but I don't know what dialer Indonesia has. If it is only about recording calls, then all devices that have an export rom can install Realme dialer and recording calls will work.
Call recording will not work on GDPR rom.

Does changing rom affect warranty?
I installed realme dialer and msg apk but message app doesn't recognize sim card. I think only way is changing rom then.
@Stano36 which rom u suggest me to use in terms of battery life and include realme apps. Also which roms have theme store?

I do not have Full OTA available for Turkey. Turkey has a GDPR rom there, call recording wouldn't work anyway.

Why India instead of Russia? Russian OTA has native dialer. Is it possible to extract Turkey Full OTA file? I'd like to flash it on my EU unit.
It is possible to replace the dialer, but recording calls will not work.

Ok I am gonna try Russia OTA first, it has realme dialer and also has call rec feature.
I also would like to try Android 13 Turkey OTA too. But extracting it looks complicated.

Stano, i changed region to india via Your guide which worked excellent. Thank You for this.
Then i installed the dialer linked here, set is as default dialer. Seems to work too. But i can not see the call recording option, not in the settings, not during the call. Any ideas?
Open the phone application - Click (two dots at the top right) - Settings - Call recording
Yep, i know, but the call recording setting is not there, also during a call, record button is not present.

For me the battery is pretty awesome.. Can go for 3 days with normal use and a full day easy with heavy use...

I think batery is great. Almost double than my Nexus 6P.
I downloaded the ROM and did a local upgrade. I worked without any issues. But security patch level is unchanged ...
Can anyone confirm that if I buy a X720, I can just do the above out of the box, like literally download, rename, update from local, and have the official rom in less than an hour haha

Yes, but you need to verify that you buy One with a stock Rom. Some Shops seem to Flash a custom Rom. Just to be sure Check for stock Rom

1.75GB This is Stock Official ROM from The Original source
Flashed this thing without any problems!
I could swear V2-Version made me sweat as it seemed to take years for the first boot.
With this official official ROM first boot is pretty quick. More bloat ware on the on hand on the other hand you can deinstall via launcher.
Biggest wish in future would be to have a reasonable keyboard. This chinese thing from LeEco is a real deep pain in the ass
I change to swiftkey either way but just the few steps until I can are already a bad experience and not "international" from my point of view.
Plain 163300 with this firmware (64/6 device!) before tuning so setting (ondemand, 2048kb read ahead, 128MB ZRAM).
Was anybody able to make any kernel tool startup at reboot? I have to set those at every boot.
I have the 727, so we can legit just flash the chinese rom on the first page then unlock the bootloader?
Edit: SOLVED! If you are on vendor rom and don't have system update in settings or as an app here is how I solved it:
1. Download stock ROM
2. Put file in root folder and call it update.zip
3. Open file manager on the phone, pick the update.zip and choose "upgrade"
4. Done.
I did this after installing twrp but it can be done just as well before installing twrp.

Yessir, that is the case. I did it with my x727 & bingo! The only drawback is loss of Band 12 & possible loss of Wi-Fi calling.
After I unlocked the bootloader, I installed a ROM from GrossoShop. It has Google Play Service built in.

My bro has gifted me with 3 Huawei phones(he found them cheaper), he bought them from Shenzen. Unfortunately, none of them Support Google and am Living in Tanzania (we desperately need google). He is nowhere sooner to go back to China to return these phones. One of them being P20 LITE with 128GB(Wow that's huge). With these restrictions, I can't even call it a SmartPhone. I have tried installing the "GMS... package" but the play store still crash. AM DESPERATE. PLEASE HELP WORKAROUND

So I couldnt downgrade the phone but end up upgrading it to BUILD NUMBER 9.1.0.127)COOE126R1P7. and it just happen I found someone with the very phone like mine. including the build number huawei p20lite. SHe has a working google services and everything. .. is going smooth

Users dara partition are intact, if you install applications ,they are installed here, so after update they still are here, can't see, never saw, that I am missing some application after update. Ofcorse, if you are rooted, then that's different story, but as this time phone isn't rooted, user can't install apps on system , vendor partitions, which are cleared after update.
But that's only my logic thought, from what I experienced..

Native call recording is CSC restricted , some countries do not allow it (by law) maybe UK is one of them.
Two options , change your CSC to one of the countries that allow it ..
Or use an app as i did check it here , lots of settings , works great

Yes and no , changing the CSC is not quite as easy as it was , check my reply here in how to change CSC.
Now with the no part of the answer , changing to the desire CSC is only possible if the CSC is available in the current rom you have installed if the CSC you wish is not there then you need to flash a new rom .. wiping may not be necessary if you use home-csc instead of CSC file
First step find out what CSC allows native phone recording , second step see if you have tha CSC available in you installed rom....

Do both of you have the Chinese version or does at least one of you have the global one? If that's the case how did you unlock the bootloader and did you install any recovery or did you just use adb to flash magisk?

Do both of you have the Chinese version or does at least one of you have the global one? If that's the case how did you unlock the bootloader and did you install any recovery or did you just use adb to flash magisk?

I have the chinese version and I think the procedure is really the same. I unlocked the bootloader using "deep testing" for android 11 and flashed the indian rom thats linked on the post in fastboot mode. Then flashed the patched boot.img in fastboot mode and installed the magisk app.

Maybe you can connect to a chinese vpn server and try to update again. This worked for me. When the blue button appears you can disconnect from the vpn and download normally.

Thank you for the reply. The A.09 ROM mentioned above is a Global/ EU ROM. I tried to use a VPN but I still did not receive OTA. I decided to flash my phone with A.14 ROM (India/ Indonesia) and received the A.16 update.
Sorry for the spam. Maybe you guys can answer my question below:
I downloaded the (China) ROM from this thread & extracted the img files. But when I flashed it on my phone, it just keeps on boot looping? Is there anything else needed to modify or change on the extracted .img files to get it working?
Is this root file valid for EU A.16 Rom?

EEA roms(EUXM) are subject to the General Data Protection Regulation and in particular a volume limitation.
Stuff that is useless, decreed by self-proclaimed,who lives in another world.
I live in Europe and the first thing I do after unlocking the bootloader is to install a Global while waiting for a Xiaomi EU rom.
Never had any security and banking issues with a Global or Xiaomi Eu rom.
