Question problem with getting custom roms to stick - Xiaomi Mi 11i / 11X Pro / Redmi K40 Pro+

hi guys I have this problem on mii 11i , anytime i install a custom rom to my phone I seem to keep getting this problem. tThe rom installs fine and the boots, sometimes I can use it for a while but then all of a sudden when I turn it on it will just keep boot looping . the weird part is if I flash a stock rom it seems to work fine but wifi will not turn on. This is the reason why I am trying these custom roms. RICEDROID work for a while but then all of a sudden after a day it rebooted over and over.

Flash stock via the fastboot mode and format your storage.
After that everything should work on the stock ROM. If it does, try custom ROMs then.

Need Help (Flashing Rom)

Hi there. I'm using Redmi Note 3 SD from quite some time. I've officially unlocked the bootloader and flashed many custom as well as MIUI Roms from time to time. But recently I'm facing a problem. I'm trying some Nougat based Roms but facing a weird problem. After flashing Rom when the phone boots up and setup screen comes than while setting up the phone screen crashes in some certain point and it starts from the beginning, it won't past the setup screen. I tried many Roms like NOS, AEX, Lineage but facing the same problem. I've used Nougat based Rom previously but was not facing this issue, it only started when i tried to flashed newer build. Am I doing something wrong. Please I need urgent help so any help will be highly appreciated.
Are u trying to flash the 7.1.2 based rom with 7.1.1 gapps. If yes then first flash the rom and boot, there will be no setup wizard this time and then flash the gapps

try clean flashing.
download latest gapps first
in case u get bootloop, download this- unlock_bootloader.zip
clean dalvik+data+system+cache,
then flash firmware+rom+unlock_bootloader.zip+gapps
(i'm using twrp 3.1.0.0 official by TheStrix, never faced such problem. follow my method mentioned above)

Flash by formating (not wipe) in twrp
Try clean install. Wipe data and system after backing up.
If that doesn't work, Check if any software is making that issue. In my case, not exactly same, but was stuck on boot after flashing super su.
When i tried to flash twrp using flashify. It didn't work for me. My recovery not working anymore. Fastboot not detecting my phone. What to do now to flash recovery??
Try using BeansGapps

Touch is lost after BL unlock

I am facing a strange issue..I unlocked the bootloader the official way. Installed RR rom latest. Flashed Agni kernel. It was working fine.
After I switched off the device and turned on I noticed that touch is not working... System reboot to normal but touch is fully gone..
I had to flash fastboot rom edl mode to bring back the system to normal...
What might be the reason for loss of touch... Anyone please help....
Don't flash a different kernel, just try RR first, boot and make sure it works.
Once that is done, then you can try flashing the kernel and see if everything works. If it doesn't, you have your answer.
Most custom ROMs are also builded just for their kernel so if u flash custom kernel then there is chance that ROM will not work as u expected. Just think about it when you are installing a custom kernel.
Today I did flash lite mode rom . It boots up but touch was not working...nothing was flashed even gapps.
Sometimes the recovery twrp too does not work.,touch lost. Now i suspect something wrong with the hardware.
But no issues with miui roms...Thats what makes me wonder
did you do it on the computer?

You may want to try installing Radon Kernel. I've got an aftermarket display which also didn't work with a custom rom (Lineage OS), but after flashing Radon Kernel it worked flawlessly. You may want o try Radon 5.0 as I'm having trouble with 5.1.

Stuck in bootloop after trying to flash from international ROM to China ROM

I tried flashing the China ROM since the international one was having lots of problems using the simple local updates procedure since one user confirmed it worked perfectly, unfortunately it didn't work for me. It did seem to install but i'm stuck in the "Be Yourself" screen and the pictures screen as well. I can go in recovery mode but i didn't have TWRP installed. I think it wasn't a good idea since it went from Android Nougat (7.1.1) to Android Marshmallow (6.0.1)
I tried wiping all data in recovery mode but it keeps saying "wiping failed" even after i try to reboot it.
How do i fix this???

Is it possible to still flash the china marshmallow ROM after i go back to 7.1?
As the China roms of devices are banned Don the forum you will better off on the oem website.
Tried to change ROM on my Z11 to the Chinese version too .... and stuck in bootloop too
The only way to have a functionnal phone went to go back to the global rom (that hopefully I had on my computer), via Nubia recovery and OTG stick.
The error I got was that the phone was unable to mount /data and /sdcard, for unknown reason.

Since the stock roms are encrypted by default u'll have to try formatting first then u might flash the rom.
If u can unlock biotloader and flash twrp then it'll be even better for further modding.

Can't go back to MIUI based custom ROMs

Hi guys, so I were using Pie Roms and I want to go back to MIUI based custom ROMs, which is Masik X. But it said I have to format my phone, then I format it then install it again. This time it didn't detect my sim card. I have encounter this before and flashing a near stock ROM like Xiaomi.eu worked last time. But it doesnt work this time, instead the flashing just take a super long time it won't end. So basically I can't flash or boot MIUI based custom ROMs. And when i managed to flash it, it always told me to activate my device, which is hard if it didn't detect my sim card because the wifi at my dorm needs to login at the login page first. Thanks for the help!
format and flash the latest firmware zip and try again.
also if you have twrp back up of miui rom try restoring it

Bootloop when trying to install custom rom.

Hello guys, I have quite the problem, until now orangefox recovery worked perfectly, I flashed quite a lot of custom ROMs and everything worked quite fine until today when I tried to flash a different custom ROM I've found on the xda forums, I don t know what exactly went wrong but now every time I try to flash a different custom ROM it results in a boot loop except for the miui.eu version which flashes and actually boots. I don't know what happened and I don't want to brick my phone, even more, maybe some of you can help. Also today I tried to flash the stock ROM for my phone with MI FLASH and it also resulted in a boot loop. Also my phone model is the Redmi note 9 pro ( Joyeuse)
