Question help disabling 5g_sa - OnePlus Nord N200 5G

i have a nord n200 that works great when not in 5g NR_ sa as seen in *#4636#* as soon as the phone goes on that mode i lose speeeds, when it CA LTE and 5g its phenomenal. i have seen a tutorial about editing qualcom bands but not specifically for the nord n200 and for disabling 5gNR_ SA mode.
also my phone is not rooted atm and i have no need to root if i can achieve this otherwise.
thx for any help !

i was able to get it working how i wanted, no root, i used QPST, accessed the file carrier policy file and added two lines to disable 5gNR but leave NSA mode working. i will post the original file and the modified,
i believe my problem is i have too good of a signal for SA mode and the phone automatically picks 5g SA when lots of data is rqd, but 5g SA here was only good for 20mbps while all the lte CA band 2 and 66 plus 5g in NSA are at least 4 times faster and a better config. i have now successfully disabled SA mode and speeds are great! consistently

Unlock true 5G speeds

Iv just came across this in the developer settings
By default network it's set as NSA mode non stand alone, I have switched to SA + NSA.
I do not no if this will have an effect on battery or not.
(I think it might)
NSA relies on the 4G network facilities to provide more speed and higher data bandwidth. A 5G-enabled smartphone will connect to 5G or 4G network depending on conditions.
( standalone ) SA is the true 5G network, where the 5G network has its dedicated 5G facilities to provide enormous speed improvements and minimal network latency (delay). The 5G SA network is independent of the 4G network.
Will obviously only work if your in a 5G area, but I think I see a difference in browser speeds and the full web pages loads up much faster.
Test for yourself.
Switched both options and tried network speed test got no difference. Dubai 5G network

Zenfone 7 Pro CellBand USA Compatibility

ATT will ONLY work upto 3g. You will see an H on top the signal bar which indicates a Enhanced 3g speed also know as HSPA speed connection. I have tried 2 new sim cards. I have tried several APN's I have tried all updates and a reset. No 4G and no 5G on ATT. Unless someone can tell me something new, this phone will not FULLY work on ATT. Text works. Calls work. Internet is sort of hit and miss with decent signal but again rather slow.
T Mobile will ONLY work upto 4g. No Volte although it seems to have the capability of Volte it cant not work with Tmobile Volte because it seems the cell bands are not compatible. Text work. Internet works rather fast, Good solid signal however no 5G and no Volte due to incompatible cell bands.
I did research on this subject and found that the ATT cell bands for everything including 5G do seem to be compatible with the 7 pro but again, it does not FULLY work oddly
I also did research on Tmobile cell bands and the bands for 5G are not even close to being compatible. Volte is also non compatible. 4g is compatible and works..
That is disappointing to hear as I have been looking into this phone and assumed it would have full usage on ATT.

I got volte to work on tmobile for anyone who is reading this later. Fairly easy to do after the pain of figuring it out was over. My data also fluctuates between 4G and LTE (4G+) as well.

How did you get T-Mobile to activate the service on your phone? They just tell me it's not compatible.

[Guide] Easy method to Enable Volte (with root) on Tmobile and maybe other networks on Android 11 and maybe 10
So first you have to root. I used twrp and magisk. There are guides on how to do that you can find by searching around. Then once you do that, follow these directions, What I did was manually entered all of these setprop commands below, on the...

Sorry, thought you were asking about setting up Volte on the Zenfone 7, so I pasted that link.
To use this phone in TMobile, no special activation is needed. Just a tmobile sim that can handle voice / data.

N10 not detecting 5G networks

Hi,
There are 3 carriers offering 5G in my city at the moment, which are using bands that N10 supports, but it's not connecting with 5G and when I search manually, it shows only networks up to 4G. The phone is updated.
Which version? EU or NA ? And does your provider have 5G?
Have same issue with NA version in Germany. with *#*#4636#*#* you can enable "NR network" which is 5G. but not in normal settings - typing 5G in setting search does show some additional settings that are invisible - i suspect it might be disabled and i don't have 5G provider anyways.
EU version (BE2029). It turns out that NR is enabled by default.
Now I realized that for some reason I have NA ROM 10.5.9 BE86AA instead of 10.5.9.BE89BA one.
Flashing the EU ROM did not help.

What did you flash? Boot image or cross-flash with msm download tool?
I did a 'full OTA' update through system app using update file from this article https://www.xda-developers.com/oneplus-nord-n10-5g-oxygenos-10-5-9/
I have tested again with a new 5G enabled SIM and everything works as expected - Obviously the system disables the 5G settings without a fitting SIM. This was with T-Mobile Germany.
ROM is 10.5.9 BE86

No issues with NA version on US TMO with the correct SIM.
I have 5g working in USA on Visible (Verizon). I had to enable NR in the *#*#4636#*#* settings. It's resets after reboot unfortunately. Hopefully an update will allow us to select 5g from the normal settings menu. A but disappointed this phone didn't come with that option already enabled.

Spoke to soon - 5g works, but about 30% slower then my 8pro. Also doesn't connect is weak places the other one does ??
Mine works great on TMobile USA 5G. I did try an Unreal SIm (AT&T) and it does not get 5G, the setting for Preferred Network Type drops the 5G all together as an option.
I was wondering if the Canadian version is the US or International version? They have different 5G bands.

Probably - so does international. You should get the detailed lists of bands for both phones and compare them to your carrier's bands.
I almost made a huge mistake of buying another of their "global" phones from China, but when I checked their bands, it was missing some US 5g and LTE bands.

CrossFlash lmv600am to Tmob 5G

Once crossflashed and booted, has anyone successfully been able to get 5G bands n41 (2500MHz) and n71 (600MHz) on their phone. So far I'm only able to get 4g bands 2 and 66. With the Tmob roms there are no options under Settings>Network & Internet>Mobile Networks to allow you to choose anything.
Been actively been searching in Hidden Menus but so far no luck.

Make the 5G icon only appear when It's actually connected

Hello, so my Oneplus 8 5G show me the 5G icon even when it's just on LTE but the LTE tower also support 5G nsa. I find that pretty annoying that the device is lying about the connectivity.
Anyway to do so? I don't mind solutions that need root. Thanks
