I've noticed in the past, when Xiaomi has released two phones using essentially the same hardware to their Redmi Note and Poco lines, xda-forums has typically combined these devices together in a single forum. There does not seem to be a separate forum for the Poco X5 5G (non-pro, codename moonstone), though there is for the Poco X5 Pro 5G (redwood). What's the best way to contact the admins to request that device either be added to this forum (if appropriate) or get its own forum?

THIS is the thread where you make such requests. I am closing this thread since it is in the wrong place.

It probably would solve a lot of headaches in the future if the Redmi Note 3 with a Mediatek processor and the Redmi Note 3 Pro with a Snapdragon processor had each their own sections in the forum. The Pro has only recently been out and people are already asking in the different posts if the rom or advice works for the Mediatek or for the Snapdragon version. And since both SoC's are so different the ROM's will not be compatible, so I do not see the point of keeping them together other than to enjoy seeing the users confused.
Yeah i too agree. Even on miui website we dont have a separate thread
Agree MTK and SD have totally different ROMs

I Fully Agree.
MTK and SD have totally different ROMs
there has been lot of confusion for REDMI Note 3G and 4G(Dior)
a sharma
sharing is power
Agree, please add a seperated section
This must be addressed before further development
I agree, with some devices it doesn't matter much but the difference between the two chipsets is too big to have them in one section.
I'm agree too!
I second this opinion.
Iam agree with you
I'm agree too!
Does any one have solution to double tap screen wake up
I agree with the OP!
Will any moderator will listen to our request here?
we just recently got a section for redmi note 3 and i´m happy about it.most post are tagged by mediatek or PRO SD are sufficient to make difrence between them
At least two different sections like android one devices .... Like redmi note 3 mediatek and snapdragon so that we can directly search all related ROMs kernels easily
As the kernel source has been released, there will be more development works going around so its a request please provide separate forum for redmi note 3 snapdragon
Don't think it's going to happen, I guess the SD version will have more users, so I guess only those users will be more active
Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using Tapatalk
I'm agree too.
@admin please look into this matter.
please separate redmi note 3(Mediatek) and redmi note 3 pro (snapdragon ) with two differect sections.

Not promising anything but send me a PM detailing the scale of the problem.
Are users not labelling their ROMs properly to distinguish the two? If so give me some links.
Give me links to any problems that have arisen from any confsion that is around.
Mike
Anyone's here have a plan to get a Redmi Note 9 pro or globally known as Redmi Note 9S? I already bought it and using it for about 3 days now and I really like it. Hopefully it will get better development same like our lovely device Mi Max.
Edit: sorry wrong thread, actually I want to post this on Mi Max thread. Dear forum moderator please close this thread
Hi All
I've had a Note 10 (CC9) for about a year with it and am still very pleased with it. I was wondering if anyone had upgraded to the 10T Ultra or Pro and can compare the two? I'm saving my pennies right now but can't decide. A faster processor is always nice, as is a bigger battery, but what about the cameras? That's the reason I bought this phone and haven't been dissapointed.
I see the Ultra has a periscope zoom, which i assume is continuously variable between 1x and 5x which is a brill feature but 48MP sensors? Seems to be going the wrong way!
The Pro has a 108MP main camera but no optical zoom.
After making the above comments, I'm happy to hear any corrections. I was wowed by the Mi 10 when I had a P30 pro, but am not so wowed by the 10T offerings.
Am i missing something?
Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve,
that's almost same decision what I'm thinking to make. Mi 10 Ultra seems no go for me because of price and connection bands availability. So thinking to sell my Mi Note 10 and get Mi 10T Pro (regular Mi 10 does not support 2 sims - what is available to get here locally). Reason of switching is because of faster cpu/gpu and video performance using filmicpro and to get 4k60. Also flat screen is more preferable for me. Besides Mi Note 10 is great device, haven't dissapointed through all this year.
Regarding the battery I would not expect to be better than Mi Note 10. After A10 and Miui 12 it works well, I forgot to check battery stats actually with this phone. Samsung S9+ and Mix 3 was much worse, really..
Camera wise actually Mi 10T Pro would be downgrade, if speaking about better ultrawide and 2x/3.7x cams from Mi Note 10. So please think about this making decision.
I'm still not decided actually, to get Mi 10T Pro or wait for next gen Mi 11 (which is 3-4 months close I think). If they use HMX sensor for new model, the wait is not worth, but I suspect it could be same sensor used in mi 10 Ultra + 48mpx imx586 for ultrawide.

Hello everyone.
I have been noticing that a lot of new devices are getting launched at quite affordable ranges. Noteworthy mentions are POCO X3 Pro, POCO F3 a.k.a. Mi 11x.
So as we all know these devices comes with great Qualcomm 800 series SOCs and are getting decent support from the community as well. Now the question arises
that is this somewhat slowing or even killing the dev support for POCO F1?
Please share your thoughts.

I tried looking everywhere but can't really seem to understand if MI 11i hypercharge is part of the below mentioned devices. They said that except for fast charging, device is identical to MI 11i.
Any help would be appreciated.
Yes, the Xiaomi 11i hypercharge phone is part of this forum!

Hi, In that case if there is XDA device page for xiaomi 11i can you provide that I'm sure I've checked most areas and I could not find any page related to 11i.
And this page having 11i as part of the device family of mi 11x pro is very much misleading.
I'm in search for it too, apparently the confusion is all coz of the naming convention that keeps changing, China, Global and India.
I own a Xiaomi 11i too (Indian Variant). The Chinese Equivalent variant is Redmi Note 11 Pro.
