Hi Guys
As I already read that rooting is clarified, now I´m interested in a costom ROM for the Fujitsu M532.
Based on what ever just to be able to update earlier from ICS.
The information I got yesterday by call from Fujitsu was not very surprisingly.
The agent was not even aware of a fujitsu tablet and also have not any glue about update policies??!!
So I guess we would have long to wait for an update.

There is a ROM update from Fujitsu, but it's still ICS.
First we need CWM Recovery. Can anyone help us out on out to to it?
Since I heard this device is identical to Pegatron Chagall perhaps someone has seen custom ROMs for that one.
Anything on Chinese forums? I can't read Chinese.

Not that I know of. There's another community for this tablet in another forum, but they're mostly (if not all) in russian.

Also there is a very good utility by AlexBlast for root, CWM recovery (recovery.img included) etc from this branch . I placed a link to attached file. There are also useful links for Nvidia chipset tablet drivers.

Is it even able to flash a recovery.img without getting in to download mode?
I'm in the same boat as everyone else. I've been trying to find a custom ROM for this tablet or for anything else that is also compatible with Fujitsu M532.
has somebody come up with a solution to this?

1) Can i somehow upgrade my pad to a newer version of Android, like Oreo?

Anyone know of any ROMs that will work on this phone? I just picked one up for my mother and while it's probably more than enough for her needs, I would like to try and get something closer to stock and be able to remove the bloatware on the device.

I don't know of any other ROMS for this device , but if you just root it you can download (Root) system app/package uninstallers from the Play Store to remove all the unwanted stuff the device comes with.

Root App Delete
google play has an app called Root App Delete. you can uninstall any apk or locked apk from the 5020t

hello i have the source code of the phone and i have ubuntu and all the tools to compile a rom but i dont know how . I want to discover how to unlock the bootloader and i think the answer is in the source code .

My Alcatel One-Touch 5020T is stuck on the T-Mobile start up screen and wont come off.......i ended up having to wipe the phone . I love the phone and now i wont be using it again because there is no stock or custom ROM for it

well if you search and could find anything, there mostly likely isn't one Thats the issue with a lot of chinese phones, there not likely to have a dev community I'm afraid. Thats why you cannot find xda forums for them

I dont wanna install a custom rom, i bought the phone about 1 week ago.
But, it's very very slow... idk why, because it have a very good cpu and gpu (mali 400), and it's laggy.

without a custom recovery, you can't install a custom rom, and even with one, you don't have any yet. You can try rooting it though.

Bump. It's lagging too. Yesterday it have a FOTA update, and if i try to install, the phone goes to the recovery, and says: "Update.zip is not correct"...
I cant install the update, but i really sure that update fix my lag problem...

Did a successful root of my Navon Mizu M500 with Framaroot using the Barahir exploit. Now looking for a ROM - if anyone knows a KitKat or later ROM to use for the Navon Mizu M500, which runs the MediaTek MT6589 CPU, I'd be grateful!

I've been looking for a better rom too. Currently managed to root it, but while trying to build CWM from source, I managed to brick it pretty hard. I've tried restoring using a combination of PhoenixSuit, DragonFace, and anything else I've been able to find/build, but currently don't have it running again. If you find anything like an official stock recovery image or a working CWM/TWRP port, I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks. I already dumped the fw from a coworker's tablet, but it hasn't helped as much as I was hoping. If I manage to recover the tablet, I'll be more free to experiment with building the recovery and then possibly a clean build of 4.4. However, it's still a big IF.

I wish I had an answer. I somehow managed to break the ads. My theory is that I haven't updated the Amazon offers app and it's still on factory version

Seriously, I was thinking that at this price point it would be on here pretty quickly. I can't even get the damn thing into download mode. I get it to the download screen, where it says hit volume up to enter download and power to exit and regardless of what I do it reboots to system. Really frustrating.

Been looking at this phone as a possible secondary, mess-around-with device since the R1 Plus is a bit too pricy. Would any of you mind giving me the Android version, kernel version, and security update for this phone? A screenshot of the settings screen would do just fine
It would take programming knowledge, but I wonder if we could use a known Linux kernel exploit to get root on this thing, or maybe better yet a bootloader unlock (very unlikely but not impossible)

Thanks for that. This is unfortunately what I was afraid of--although the security patch isn't the newest it's still pretty new. Fortunately it's still a 3.10.X kernel, as there seems to be lots of potential vulnerabilities listed for them on this one CVE website I took a look at before.
Getting root will no doubt be tricky, but I don't think it'll be impossible. I know some people from the other Amazon Prime phone that were able to turn a known vulnerability into an actual exploit, so maybe I can contact them and ask for some help if they're willing. In the meantime of course, we just have to keep our eyes open for anything anyone else comes out with, and of course NOT TAKE ANY ANDROID UPDATES EVER.

Nope, not looking too good here. Wasn't able to reach the others I said I would try to get in touch with. For now just make sure you don't take any firmware updates, and I guess keep trying with apps like KingRoot/Kingo every now and then to see if something eventually works
Hold off on updating firmware guys. May have found something you could use. The article says it's made for the Nexus 6 bootloader but I wonder if it could be ported to other devices?
EDIT: False alarm, looks like its only for Motorola bootloaders (Nexus 6, and MAYBE other things)

Hello, I have a alcatel A30 5046g that comes with amazon advertising, I'm looking for CWM and TWRP Recovery, unlock the bootloader and root but I have not got anything, can help please ...
Anyone found anything ? I've been looking for days trying to find help rooting the A30 tablet but still can't seem to find anything.
I just sold mine. I ditched Verizon so have no use for that piece of crap anymore. I know it's a cheap phone but damn... I'm pretty sure I'll never buy another TCL phone again.

Aww, I would've kept it if I were you. They came out with an open source tool that lets you check bootloaders for vulnerabilities. If we got ahold of some firmware files, maybe we couldve found some potential holes in the software to exploit...

Its easy, you download magisk manager apk , you donwload your firmware unzip and on magisk manager select installé / patched boot.img select the boot.img on your firmware file, a new patched-boot.img is create after this you flash the new patched-boot.img with fastboot or maybee exist a tool for your phone brand for flash i dont know for your phone and finish

still having bad luck..... I don't see where I can download my firmware nor something similar to fast boot.
