I am looking for a factory or custom rom for an android box that I just picked up. The person I got it from said it works fine but the wi-fi won't connect. According to the About page, the system has android 11.1. He said he only paid $18 for it. I gave him $5.
Anyway, from what I can gather, the system hardware is supposed to have either 4.4.2 or 5.1.1.
I would like to have 5.1.1, 6 or 7. Anything newer not actually wanted. Not so sure the system would actually support anything correctly anyway.
Enclosed are the specs that I have been able to fine. Pics also included.
So if anyone has a rom that I could flash, it would be greatly appreciated.

I recently purchased a tablet off someone and have been unable to find really anything about it. I want to put a customer recovery on it and custom roms. I know there's many custom roms for the chip used in this one but when search for the model I get nothing.
They claim that the tablet is:
Eken MT 705 Google 2.3 Epad
Android 2.3 Gingerbread
Telechips 8902 800 MHz Processor with graphics accelerator (Telechips Arm-11 800mHz processor)
4GB Storage - supports micro SDHC card up to 32GB
256 MB DDR Memory
I have been able to root it after going through several methods.
Some links which looks to be the same tablet:

Seems decent, I'd say go for it if you really like it.
Found an Engadget article on it - http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/29/ztes-u950-tegra-3-phone/

EDIT : There's a MIUI v5 Rom based on Android 4.1.2 that works flawlessly with this phone!
Hello folks:
I just bought a AML8726-MX Android TV stick from China and took some pictures of the board/chips. I have a few questions...
(1) Is it possible to discern the type of wifi chip used? The xda-dev Linux build doesn't support broadcom yet.
(2) Is there an XBMC .apk that supports this AML processor? The stick doesn't come preloaded with XBMC, so I need to find an .apk that has Amlogic support. Recent XBMC nighties support Amlogic, but I'm also having issues with "dependencies" that I think are related to nightly builds.
(3) If there is no reset button, then does that mean I can only use bootcard or adb to flash?
(4) Is there a ROM out there that can be flashed?
(5) How do I backup the firmware before I start to play with new ROMs?
Thanks.
Hopefully these images aren't too big

I have an amlogic based Android box (xoro hst 260 dvb-c/T2) and I read that you can actually covert it to android TV with proper play store and launcher. The only guide I found, though, is in German and seems to be a bit outdated, because play store doesnt work after the gapps tvstock flash. Where can I find a more updated guide (and maybe in English)? I read that some apps don't work with it (eg. Netflix): maybe there are some patched version of the apps which works?
Can you point at the German guide?
I put together ATV on my M8S+ s812 android 5.1.1 and everythings working minus widevine L1 apps like netflix and amazon prime but did get widevine l3 ti work on it

Hello All Winner. Strange chinese factory... they spend more time and money to fake the cpu/ram/OS than optimising it.Sorry for the images, but I prefer to work under the last(may be) good sunlight for this year.
DO NOT CONNECT IT TO YOUR PC/LAPTOP VIA USB!!! It will blow your usb fuse!
