This will not give you the opportunity to make a full backup, but it will partially allow you to get into the cloud and save your data. I was able to create a backup on the Honor 50 and after that I restored it on the Huawei tablet.

1. Naturally, you must have Huawei HMS Core services
2. Perhaps there should be a frame
3. Install this version of the cloud (you can't update, only it works)
4. After installation, immediately open and give all permissions except geolocation (I gave it to it, but it seems to me that it interferes)
5. To log in to the cloud, you have two options
1: Through the button in the curtain
2: Installation Manager tab in AppGallery
6. Two buttons do not work, "Settings" and "Memory Management", you should not touch them - the cloud flies out of control
7. We saw the cloud, but they don't allow us to make a backup, the program writes an error both during recovery and when trying to create a backup, the "System Dispatcher" prevents us from doing this.
8. In developers, we set to allow debugging and debugging only when charging. Install ADB AppControl on the PC, connect the phone through it and remove the ADB "System Dispatcher".
9. After the backup, the dispatcher must be returned, without it we lose battery control, etc.
The data is saved only partially: contacts, messages, photos, videos and some programs. I can't save the settings because the dispatcher is turned off. I'm sorry, I'm writing through a translator, I hope it's clear.
Hey there I'm trying to install the cloud app into my honor 50 but I'm always getting this error. Do you have any idea what is the conflicting app? is a while that I am trying to figure it out but I am unable. T

I had a conflict if I tried to install "Files" from Huawei first. If you did not install this, then try to install from a third-party file manager, I put all of the X-plore.

[MORTSCRIPT] Device Installer: little autoinsstaller for software, files & settings
Hi all,
i want to share a little tool i made almost one or two years ago. It has the fancy and glittering name "Device Installer" and is used to takeover the recurring part of installing preferred software, copy files and configuring settings after every rom-flash or hard-reset of your mobile.
It has just a trickle of functionsthat other solutions like sahimi etc offer, but its small and does the job.
You can do the following things:
install software in three stages
- First stage for software that can't run completely silent and need some sort of confirmation like perhaps Resco Explorer and MortPlayer use for asking for a Language.
- Second stage is for software that can run silent, that should be most of the programs.
- And at least the third stage is for plugins and other tools that needs to be installed after other ones (for example.Plugins for Resco has to be installed after Reso itelf)
copy files and folders
useful for adding settings files, ringtones, profiles, bookmarks etc in the corresponding directories
import registry keys
i use to export all my settings in single registry keys, to have the ability to import a single one when something has changed my system. so i have a bunch of tweaks and device installer imports every .reg-file that is in the registryfolder.
Detailed description of the functions is written in the readme.txt in the ZIP-file
Here are some screenshots:

Looks really interesting... will try it (beside sashami) on my next flash orgy
Very interesting, because i am searching for a good running app. MortScript is one of my fav apps. I will give it a try...
Sounds good, but just wondering what this can do above and beyond Sashimi ?
Is it possible to root a Sony Z2 without losing data or something? I have a Sony Z2 which needs to be rooted, but the owner does not want to lose his apps and other data. Is that possible?
Not that i know of
There are options that are somewhat odd as the apps used send a lot of private data.
What version of Android? Should be easy if you don't have to downgrade. What data don't you want to lose? If it's sms and call logs, they can be backed up without root. User apps should also be able to be backed up without root and then restored later.
Have you looked at the backup and restore app?

Google is a wonderful thing
http://www.titaniumtrack.com/kb/titanium-backup-kb/titanium-backup-howtos.html
1. How to make your first backup WITHOUT root:
Before beginning, you need to setup your ADB and have your device detected. You must also running Android version 4.0 and above. Also, make sure you have a file manager installed. Our favorite is the ES File Explorer.
Connect your device and make sure its listed with the following command:
adb devices
Run a FULL backup with the following command:
adb backup -f FullBackup.ab -apk -all
This will create a “package” called “FullBackup.ab” on the current location in your command prompt. This is your backup package.
Now you can root your phone.
Once finished rooting, insert the “FullBackup.ab” package on your sdcard
Hit the menu button and look for “Extract from ADB backup” option. This will prompt you to search for the file. Use the file manager that you installed earlier and navigate to the directory and select the FullBackup.ab file.
Now restore like as if the backup was made with Titanium Backup. Don’t forget to make a fresh copy of the backup using Titanium Backup. You’re Done!

Hi everyone.
I've a Nexus 5 which runs Android 6.0.1 but I think the problem is not especially related to the Nexus 5, so I post here.
What happened ? Few days ago my phone crashed (I didn't use it) and was slow to boot up. So I tried to force the reboot by pressing the power button for 15/20s and it worked.
But 5/10min after I saw the "Select language" menu ... The phone performed a factory/reset by itself. I don't know why.
First, I plug my phone to my computer and I've seen that 26GB/32GB were already in use.
So I tried to recover my pictures and videos with many apps and the one which worked was "Undeleter" (5$) but it didn't recover all my data.
Yesterday, I wanted to understand what happened really. I ran "DiskUsage" which give me this result for /storage/emulated/0 :

How can I access to the "System data" partition which has a size similar to the storage space used before the crash ?
Regards,
Laurent
EDIT :
Finally I backed up all my data !
Indeed, files of my memory (/sdcard) before the crash was in /data/lost+found/#1351681/0
Then, I was able to move them to /sdcard and to copy the files on my PC.
How to ?
Make sure your phone is rooted and install a file explorer such as Root Browser.
Open Root Browser and navigate until /data/lost+found/#xxxxx [in my case, with a Nexus 5 it was 1351681/0]
(Look for the directory which corresponds to your previous "sdcard".)
Now, you can see the files but you can't open them. So move (not copy!) them to /sdcard (I suggest you to do that folder by folder).
Great, you've recovered your files ! But now, transfer them to your computer to prevent damages (I was forced to do that and remove files after to continue because the storage was full).
You can do it in connecting your phone to your computer and via the explorer or you can use adb (adb pull /sdcard/directory_to_move path_to_a_dir_of_your_computer)
I hope it will be useful.
Laurent
Hi,
using the Hisense A5. A family member was using the phone and put in a passcode that they forgot.
I am unable to get far enough into the phone to enable USB Debugging.
I am able to get the phone into recovery mode (using power-on, volume down). which is the "Vision" recovery system.

I cannot speak or read simplified chinese. Because the Hisense A5 has an eInk screen, I was able to scan the screens and upload it to an OCR site that could convert the image into characters. Then I could use google translate.
Anyway. I chose the first option which is "Recovery".
The screen I get is the following.
Using google translate. I can make out that the first choice is "Reboot", second choice is "Delete user data" and the third choice is "Update system".
I have tried the "Delete user data", and I can seem to make it work. But after the phone reboots, the passcode is still there.
The only other possibility I have is the third option which is "Update System". If I choose that I get the following option.
As you can see, the only thing I am able to do is to get the recovery system to to somehow load the file "update.zip".
I have tried the commercial passcode remover iMyPhone, but it didn't work.
If someone had some ideas, I would really appreaciate them. I am very much stuck right now.
If you don't mind losing data then you can simply reflash your device.
Download the actual chinese Firmware from here

Follow this guide to re-flash the downloaded Firmware from a microSD

Hi JLowe, a very big thank you.
I was able to download the firmware. (Took a few attempts, but I got there in the end), and have it installed.
Right now, I'm trying to work out how to put the phone into debugging and put on some other ROMS. Similar to what others have done.
HI all, does anyone know of an app that works in the same way as the built in google backup works, except it saves to a local pc over wifi on a schedule?
The 15Gb cloud space is nowhere near enough for me but I have a server with plenty of space, so makes sense to use that.
I have seen a few apps that backup media, but I really want everything backed up (sms, app data, wifi passwords etc)
Is this even possible with a 3rd party app? My phone is a Honor View, The official huawei app (hicare) does most of them but needs the device to be plugged in via USB and I don't think it will let me restore to a non huaewi phone in the future.
Edit: forgot to mention, locked bootloader so not rootable

Yeah I'm afraid the backup solution you were searching for is one who needs root. But I can suggest something else. You can transfer the data you have on your drive (files other than backups) on your server, it will leave room for backups.
Otherwise you may wanna consider rooting, if it is possible with this Huawei model (that's why I hate Huawei, but don't get me started on that lol)
Have a good day
@flamery
1. No root mode is required to create a backup
2. Hint: Backup to an external SD-card. Use Super Backup app. It's a free-of-charge app.

BTW: To root device's Android its bootloader must not be unlocked. Has nothing to do with each other.
Thanks both I will check it out!
Although I just discovered something interesting, if you change the setting in Google photos from original quality to high quality they don't count toward the 15Gb quota so I just freed up a lot of space.
