I'm planning to map a specific button in an app to my Enter key from my wired keyboard.
Is there an app that is able to map a certain button inside an app using its id or something unique identifier of that button like button detection and not its coordinate(x, y)? because if the button moves then it will not be pressed. i tried MacroDroid but it has no keypress trigger so i won't be able to use it.

Hi.
I found the programm for button mapping called AE Button Plus It works perfect on the Rose.
You can use it f.e. for display off/on switching, toggle wifi, bluetooth and mapping of all buttons for functions you would like.
Its really, my recomendation!
I tried the app but it broke all the default button mapping, power switch and holding the end key down didnt lock the screen any more, the camera button still works. Do you have any tips on using the software? I dont see a manual or documentation for it.
Thanks.
Hi,
I'm search for some d-pad app, which can show me virtual d-pad on screen. I found some, but it doesn't met my needs. I need d-pad for example for edit of searched value. This can be done by "arrow" or trackball - but we have nothing of these.
I also tried remap UP/DOWN d-pad keys on volume UP/DOWN but I can't set up volume during call, mute, configure volume...
My requirements
- I don't want see d-pad all the way. I would like bring-up virtual d-pad by some hw key (long/short search button press for example) or for example from notify or by tiny persisted virtual key on display
- it should be possible move d-pad on screen
I found only one app which is really is close to my requirements, but it works strange and have sometime FCs. It is called softkeys.
I do not understand, why for windows mobile exist so much virtual d-pads, services for handling key shortcuts even gravity control "d-pad" but for android nothing?
I have the zaggfolio case and keyboard. I was wondering is there anyway to edit the functions of the keyboard. For example: change the ctrl key to a shortcut for my browser or if i long press the home but recents will show. thanks
Bumping you because I want to do the same thing for the opposite reason: My keyboard Esc key is interpreted as a local 'Back' press, and Ctrl goes I don't know where. I want it to stop modifying these keys and send them through ConnectBot instead.
I've tested & exhausted all I could find on Google Play. What I need:
1. A way to either record or script screen taps by x-y coordinate etc.
2. Assign different sequences of screen taps to different h/w buttons, i.e. Macro1 is activated by Volume+ key, Macro2 is activated by Volume- key, etc. Optionally, long-press detection would be very nice.
Can anyone tell me if this app or functionality exists for Android?
Thanks
Hello guys,
I'm playing PUBG on S9+ Exynos and have trouble shooting while aiming.
Is there anyway to map the Volume UP button to the touch screen where the shoot icon is so I can shoot with the pointing finger while aiming and moving with 2 thumbs like on consoles?
Non-root method please
you need BxAction (or some other app that can remap hardware buttons. BxAction can remap Vol up/down and Bixby), tasker, and auto input.
- Use bxaction to map the button you want to a Tasker task (let's call it ShootGunTask, for example)
- in Tasker's ShootGunTask, go to the plugin and choose autoInput. Then input the display coordinate if the icon
I use something very similar to what you want in Telegram. When I'm in telegram app, short clicking Bixby button clicks the "send voice note" button. Effectively turning my phone into a walkie-talkie.
