Nope, they removed bands access, to access it you need to ROOT your phone.

[Request] Verizon Note 2 NV backup.

Hello everybody.
On the AT&T Note 2 side of the forums, a dev is working on enabling all bands on it.
He successfully enabled AWS, so T-mobile AWS is compatible on the AT&T Note 2.
Here is the thread.
Enable AWS band (3g/4g Tmobile) on ATT Note 2 stock baseband
We are still missing the UMTS 900mhz band, but for that he would need to compare and add nv items missing from it.
The only Note 2 according to wikipedia that has the UMTS 900mhz band enabled is the Verizon Note 2.
So I please ask you to make a backup of your qcn and post it here so he can finish this work.
Guide to backup qcn.
How to posted by Joogle
1. Download and Install QPST, version 2.7 build 323. Download files available at http://www.mediafire.com/?nsh7wyw4ssmxd3d
2. Go to hidden menu on phone, dial *#7284#
3. Once in Menu choose the option for USBSettingsMenu, then choose the option RNDIS+DM+MODEM.
4. Hook up the phone to the PC via USB at this time if you haven't already. This option works on STOCK TOUCHWIZ.
5. Go to your PC Control Panel. We need to get into the Device Manager to determine where your phone is being recognized as far as the COM ports. For this, go to System -> Device Manager (on the left) or System -> Hardware -> Device Manager (depends on your Control Panel setup). Anyways, scroll down to Ports (may say Ports & LTP, Serial, depends on version). Anyways, find your phone under it, and take note of the COM# (mine was COM9, yours can and probably will vary). If you have exclamation marks anywhere then install the Samsung drivers and try again.
6. Now go to Start Menu -> All Programs -> QPST -> QPST Configuration
7. Click on the Ports tab. Click on Add New Port, then add your Port# where it says Port and name it something you can remember. Hit OK.
8. Now click on Start Clients -> Software Download. Click on the Backup tab. Make sure your phone is listed under Port. If its not, hit Browse, choose the COM that is your phone, and hit OK. Now where it says QCN File, hit Browse, find a safe spot to store your backup on your PC, and name it. Hit OK. Now hit Start. Make sure backup gets to 100% with no errors.
It will take a couple of minutes for this whole process.
Then you just have to post or send a pm with the qcn backup.
Benefits from this is that in South America and the caribbean like Dominican Republic, some carriers EX: Orange use the UMTS 900mhz band for 3G, so all AT&T Note 2 users only have edge for now.
This would be a great help.
Requests for help go in the Q&A, Help and Troubleshooting section
Thread moved
Sorry for not putting it here.
Anyways, hope somebody post the qcn.
I'll take a try when I get out tonight...
I can't even get the hidden menu to work.
Touchwiz stock dialer.

did this ever get resolved?
Nop.
Still waiting for a verizon qcn.
Please anyone take 5 minutes and make a backup.

Ok.
Did some investigation.
Try this.
Open the keypad and dial *#22745927
Enable hidden menu
Go back to the keypad and dial *#7284#
Click Qualcomm USB Settings
Select RMNET + DM + MODEM and click ok
If that doesn't work
Dial
*#9090#
Pick number 3.
Let me know.
Here it is
I have extracted the qcn file of Verizon Note 2 LTE and attached. I was trying to install ATT qcn file into it but mobile rejects it. Help me use an international sim in my device. I am able to receive gsm data in it but not able to call/text. It says 'NO SERVICE', But data works. Help.. :crying:

[REQ/INFO] KDDI Au Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE [Model: SCL21]

Hello, I'm wondering if there is a guide or any info at all about rooting the KDDI's SGS3 LTE. I saw a bunch of thread for the NTT DoCoMo version but none about the KDDI version. No idea if they use the same hardware or not.
Root success by flashing CWM recovery and sgs3_rooting_supersu_v3.zip. Those tools are specified for Galaxy S3 NTT Docomo (SC-06D) but they also worked for Galaxy S3 Progre from AU KDDI (SCL21).
Just wondering how to unlock this SCL21, if anybody knows, please share.

I am also trying to find out a way to root my SCL21 but am having no luck. I have tried many of the "Universal 4.0.4 rooting methods" but have had no luck. Brong, would you mind sharing exactly what you did? The threads here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1999024 and here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1996940&page=2 warn about using the docomo method because it bricks the phone. Nothing seems to work with our model. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks.

Hi,
First step is flash the CWM recovery via Odin. You can download CWM recovery from here:
https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B...ZhbUE/edit?docId=0B98X7HyfoaGaNzNvR052dUp0Wmc
Choose this file: SC06D-JB-KBC-CWM-V6.0.1.2_r10-recovery-odin.tar.md5
Flash that file in Odin, choose the PDA in Odin.
I assume you already know how to flash via Odin, if you dont know just ask me again or try to browse other thread.
Step two is run the CWM recovery. Also, I assume you already know to get into recovery mode. Make backup first in recovery mode, you need to insert external SD card and save the backup in the card.
Step three, download this file sgs3_rooting_supersu_v3.zip from here:
https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B...ZhbUE/edit?docId=0B98X7HyfoaGaR21wdXZweDdYSXM and save it to the external SD card that you used before.
Step four, run the recovery mode again and choose install from SD card, then choose external sd card and choose the file you donwloaded (sgs3_rooting_supersu_v3.zip). After completing all, reboot your phone and you will see the Super User app. Make sure you download root checker in Play store so you can check whether the phone are rooted or not.
Note: If you run the recovery, the screen will reverse. Dont worry, it works eventhough the screen reverses.
Thats all. I am looking the way to unlock this phone, *#197328640# doesnt work. If you have a clue, please let me know.

I found a new thing regarding this phone. This phone doesn't support non LTE sim card, even you have micro sim (3G) card from AU KDDI. I am trying to find other LTE sim card from other carrier in order to check whether this phone works on that sim or not.
May be somebody can explain why this phone doesn't support non LTE sim. In case of Galaxy s3 LTE from NTT Docomo, it works when I used 3G sim (FOMA). I cut the 3G sim to fit the micro slot.
unlock for this phone
well, my purpose is/was to unlock this phone so I followed the samsung galaxy s3/note unlock method from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2014982
(I have/had this S3 Progre SCL21, the same phone in this thread)
I can access all the menu and procedure from that thread below, despite this phone being stock Android 4.04!
----------------
"Main Menu > [1] UMTS > [1] Debug Screen > [8] Phone Control > [6] Network Lock > Options [3]Perso SHA256 OFF > (after choosing this option, wait about 30 seconds, then go back one step by pressing the Menu button then select Back, now you are in [6] Network Lock then choose [4] NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ ..... wait for a minute then reboot your phone..."
---------------
I put 3G/2G sim card and the phone shows no service. I even put CDMA network sim, no luck. I don't know if this phone is unlocked. I'm wondering if this phone works only with LTE/4g sim. Right now, there's no 4G/LTE in my region
I assume the phone must support all other bands, if properly unlocked.
Now, I'm wandering through the threads and googling.
So far, I'm looking for Jelly Bean 4.1.1 for this phone, which doesn't seem to be available anywhere, even on samfirmware, only stock firmware
Root/flash CWM recovery and try some other unlock method from out there, (after making a backup Stock ROM and sensitive IMEI/NV data of course)
Please keep everyone updated and keep the spirit alive

Actually this phone, SCL21 can be used with LTE sim card only. I already tried to use non LTE sim card from KDDI AU with no luck.
What I am thinking is actually this phone maybe unlock-able by using the procedure as you mentioned (NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ). Since the phone can only be used with LTE sim card, we need to try LTE sim card from other carrier in order to test.
The problem is I dont have other carrier LTE sim card right now, if you have you can try it.
Update: Also I am wondering how to make this phone works with not only LTE/4G but also with 3G/CDMA. I changed the band to automatic, but there is no luck. I think this phone is locked to be used only with LTE/4G sim card. So, if somebody knows how to deal with this matter (make the phone not only accepts LTE/4G sim card, but also 3G/CDMA sim card) please share with us here.

Hi everyone ^_^
I just got the SCL21 about two weeks ago. I think it's really strange that even on the Japanese forums, there is very little info on rooting this model. From everything I've found, some Japanese sites also both say it's OKAY to root using the Docomo SC-06D recovery and Superuser zip while others say that it's NOT safe to use that same method and it will result in a bricked phone. Really odd, conflicting messages I think.
What is even more strange is the apparent issue with the screen "reversing"? One of the Japanese sites literally said the screen becomes "upside down" after flashing the SC-06D recovery.
Brong, since you got the root to work successfully , could you please elaborate on the "reversing" of the screen? Is the image upside down and only during the recovery mode? Also, do you know if the root caused you to lose the "osaifu Keitai" touch feature?
Thanks a lot to Brong and everyone else helping out with this model phone!!

Status of SIM access
Hi,
I tested both a 3G micro SIM and a 4G LTE nano SIM from Softbank in this phone and neither card is recognized. The phone acts as though no SIM is inserted at all. (Complete with the "no smoking" symbol (circle with diagonal line through it) instead of a signal meter. I have confirmed that this phone is indeed sold already SIM unlocked from the factory as the MSL is 000000 just like the Verizon Galaxy S III which is also sold without a SIM lock. Additionally, KDDI lists the SCL21 and all other LTE phones they are selling since the debut last winter as being SIM unlocked devices.
According to some Japanese forums, they are suspecting that this phone has some type of hardware lock (hard locked?)... I contacted the only known person who was successful at using a 3rd party SIM on the Vietnamese Viettel GSM network as in a YouTube video. He wouldn't give me any details except that he must have the phone physically in his shop to modify it and it can't be done remotely. This individual also has screenshots showing the stock ROM version running in Vietnamese which makes me believe that he flashed something to the stock ROM to gain SIM detection of 3rd party cards.. Anyone have any ideas about such a hardware locking mechanism?

He's referring to the service mode. In that case, here are the steps to perform an unlock using the service mode (tested to work ONLY on the docomo models SC-06D and SC-03E; NO GUARANTEE IT WILL WORK ON THE SCL21):
1. Enter service mode by dialing the code in the dialer.
2. Press "UMTS".
3. Press "Debug Screen".
4. Press "Phone Control".
5. Press "Network Lock".
6. Press "Perso SHA256 Off".
7. Menu->Back (if the menu button turns up nothing, then just push "back") then wait 30 seconds.
8. Press "NW Lock NV Data Initallliz" then wait around one minute.
9. Reboot the phone and it SHOULD be unlocked. Works great on the SC-06D and SC-03E, no guarantees with the SCL21. And with the SC-03E newer basebands either hid it away or blocked it out so an older one needs to be flashed in before it will show up for unlocking.
Anyone looking to get one should only do so when they've got a trip to Vietnam in their future (to go get it done in a shop there; they still seem to be the only country with shops doing it) or be using au in Japan.

that`s the first instruction i found when i was browsing the net and tried it but unfortunately it didnt work...... there are still settings in the service menu and all you have to do is click everything that has something to do with the wcdma to gsm..gsm to wcdma or g to wcdma something like that. There`s also a setting that tells somethin like resetting cant remember the exact word and you have to wait for 90 or 60 secs.and restart the phone .and then go back to changing gsm to wcdma .,there`s a setting also that you have to change the frequency .cant remember the step by step guide but because of my eagerness to use the phone i clicked everthing in the service menu and searched every command listed in there.(dont worry it will not brick your phone). After doing all that... this is what happened .. i thought i failed again because the no smoking sign was still there ...so what i did was i clicked the settings and i was so surprised that the menu for mobile network comes out meaning to say that i was able to unlock the settings on the network ..im telling you guys this is what vietnamese unlockers have been doing to unlock this phone that is why they need the phone physically....thats all thanks
And it never prompted for a SIM unlock PIN again? Somebody really needs to go through this carefully and document it; an SCL21 is only 24-25k yen in Japan; I've heard of people paying more to fix broken screens on their international/American S3s.

it's diffcult to unlock... i can't use in my country... please help

Unlock a sm-g925r7 Ntelos ,Please help me.

Hi guys , i dunno if this is the right section for this question but i'm a newbie here , i got two sm-g925r7 locked to nTelos i think and i want to unlock them for international gsm use outside the u.s , is this possible ? if yes do you know a guy who can do them at a reasonably price ? since this can work on sprint cdma phones i don't see why it can't work on nTelos since they are both cdma ? correct me if i'm wrong , i need your help guuuuuys please.
How do you know if they're locked to nTelos? Did you try putting in another carrier's Sim card? Uru
nothing happens
i know couse i bought them on ebay and the sellers stated that in their description , and the sm-g925r7 is for cspire or ntelos only ? i tried using a foreign sim card , ( i'm outside the u.s ) and nothing happens , phones search for network 2-3 secs and then they just show that little barred signal icon on the top right corner
Well on the nTelos website it says all android phones are unlocked so I dont know.
checked that

Ok I'll root using the sprint rooting as I've tried this before with success, but first I'll downgrade them to 5.1.1 and hopefully i'll get past this ,since the settings will be set to lte/gsm why wouldn't it work with calls ?

I hope flashing to sprint version or trying with different bootloader / modems could be the solution, I have not found any guide yet
Ok so i rooted the phone and used root explorer to enable service mode , restarted the phone , opened service mode and selected lte/gsm only , restart , phone asks for sim pin and then nothing , no data sms or calls
I am also interested in this unlock but haven't found a solution yet.

after enabling lte/gsm only, restart and go to settings > network mode > select lte/wcdma/gsm. try with different carriers and 4G sim cards to get signal (mine is working on Claro only, other carriers show "Searching" or "No service" )
If this is the go25r7wwu3cpc1 how did you root?? I'm on firmware 6.0.1 can't find root anywhere..

you tryed to unlock with z3x box?
g925r7 is currently not listed in Z3X box support list.
need rmt_storage patch to make changes to bands inside the phone.
inside item 1787 (3G GSM bands), this item has no support.
Reason why it doesn't work for calls is because VOLTE is not enabled by default in CSC
usually a device like this will fall back to 3G when making calls on GSM networks. Thus the reason why calls aren't working.

Sir. Is is possible to make any changes to make it work?

[Request] Dumped V600TM30d images or kdz files

Hi there,
I own an T-mobile v60. The phone is on A12 but rooted so OTA is not possible.
I also have problem enabling 5G so I want to try out the new software and see if it helps.
What software you want to try out since you are already on Android 12?
You could dial 277634#*# to get more options and choose "band selection" to force 5G.

Now I'm on V600TM30b, so maybe V600TM30d.
I can use *#546368#*600# to select 5G band. However, I'm on CMCC (which is an operator in china) and I cannot enable 5G properly.

How To Guide How to Enable All Bands Through Service Menu on US/CA S23 series (including Sub-6 and mmWave)

What is this?
This is a guide on how to enable all LTE and 5G bands on the US or Canadian S23 series phones by going through the service menu. This guide is a copy of my S22U guide, which is mostly based on this S20U guide by mellojosh, but has been adapted for the S23U phone with more information added.
Who needs this?
Different countries and carriers use different 5G frequency bands, so the phone's software limits 5G bands to your model's country and carrier even though the phone hardware supports more bands. Here are some cases when unlocking all 5G bands could be useful:
You live outside the US/Canada but bought a US/Canadian model and want to use 5G in your country that uses different 5G bands than US/Canadian carriers.
You live in the US/Canada but are travelling to a different country and want to use their 5G service which uses different 5G bands than US/Canada.
You live in the US/Canada but think your carrier is limiting your 5G service for some reason and think that you can optimize it better.
Which bands can be enabled this way?
All bands the phone supports in hardware can be enabled through the service menu. For the US S23 Ultra, that includes all Sub-6 bands like n78, and mmWave bands, as well as 5G SA bands, as shown in this screenshot below. For the Canadian S23 Ultra, this method will unlock all the same bands as the US model except mmWave (might be a hardware or firmware limitation).

Which phones does this method support?
This method has been confirmed to work on:
Samsung S23 Ultra (S918U, S918U1, S918W).
Samsung S22 Ultra (S908U, S908U1, S908W).
Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4. Thanks @Abaddon and @otteporihs.
This method works on both Android 12 (One UI 4.1) or Android 13 (One UI 5.0, 5.1).
This method requires your device be on the US firmware (XAA or other US CSC), so as long as you can Odin flash XAA firmware on your device (such as Canadian variant), you should be able to do this.
If you get this method working on your phone that isn't in the known list, post it here and I will add it to the list above.
How To Guide
You will need a Windows computer (or VM) and the Samsung USB Driver installed to do the following steps. Install the USB driver from here before proceeding if you do not have it installed.
A. Flash US Firmware
First, your device must be on US firmware (XAA or other CSC). You can skip this step and go to B if your device is already on US firmware.
If you're not on a US firmware because you have another Snapdragon variant (like Canadian), follow the steps below to flash XAA firmware. Note this will WIPE and FACTORY RESET your device. ALL DATA WILL BE LOST. So backup if you need to.
Download Odin 3.14.4 or latest version.
Download US XAA U1 firmware for your device from SamMobile.com or SamFw.com. For example, for the S23 Ultra, download the XAA firmware for S918U1. Extract the contents of the firmware to somewhere on your computer. You should have 5 files (BL, AP, CP, CSC, HOME_CSC). We won't use HOME_CSC.
Restart your phone and go into download mode. On the S23 Ultra, hold all three power and up + down volume at the same time until the phone starts, then press the up volume key to get into download mode.
Open Odin and connect your phone to your computer with a USB. Odin should say your phone was added.
Click each of the BL, AP, CP, CSC buttons and select the corresponding files from the firmware zip you extracted. For CSC, use the file that starts with CSC and not HOME_CSC (we won't be using HOME_CSC). Do not load anything into USERDATA.
Click start and let it flash the firmware (see the picture below). If it flashed correctly, your phone will be on XAA firmware after it restarts and you will have to set it up again from scratch.
Set up your phone and verify it is on XAA firmware by going to Settings -> About Phone -> Software information -> check that it says XAA/XAA,XAA/OOO under "Software provider software version". OOO here will be your phone's original CSC like XAC which you cannot change and do not need to.
B. Unlock Service Menu Secret Codes
The next step is we need to unlock access to the service menu. Usually this is locked by default, but it might already be unlocked for you.
First check if you can access the service menu by trying each of these ways:
Open dialer and enter *#27663368378# to try to get directly into the service mode main menu. The menu should open after you press the last # character, you shouldn't have to press call.
Open dialer and enter *#73# to get into RF Test mode. Press Band Selection. Press three dots on top right -> Back. Repeat three dots -> back three more times until you get to the service mode main menu.
If either of the above ways works for you to get to the service mode main menu, then you can skip the below steps to unlock the menu and go directly to instructions C.
If you cannot access the menu with the above codes, then follow these instructions to unlock the secret codes.
Enable USB Debugging in Developer menu.
Download SamFW FRP tool 4.0 or latest version from here.
Open SamFW FRP tool and connect your phone to the computer with a USB.
Using SamFW FRP tool, go to MTP tab and click on "Enable Secret Code for Verizon". See the picture below. Note it works on any US CSC even though it says "for Verizon".
If in the program output you see it's getting stuck on "Waiting for DIAG", then dial *#0808# on your phone to open USB settings and select "DM + MODEM + ADB" then press OK. The program should then complete the step and then get stuck on "Disabling DIAG". When it does, using the *#0808# menu again, select "MTP + ADB" this time and press OK. Now the program should complete the step and say that secret codes was unlocked.
Now you should be able to use *#73# for RF test, or *#27663368378#* to go directly to service menu. Test it to make sure at least one of the codes works and the service menu is opening.
C. METHOD 1: Use the Service Menu to Unlock All Bands
Enter the service menu using either way.
Open dialer and enter *#27663368378# to get directly into the service mode main menu.
Open dialer and enter *#73# to get into RF Test mode. Press Band Selection. Press three dots on top right -> Back. Repeat three dots -> back three more times until you get to the service mode main menu.
Use the service mode to set the following options. Note you can go back between screens with three dots -> back for quicker navigation, but I am just starting each option below from the main menu so it's easy to read.
Enable all LTE and 5G bands.
Service Mode Main Menu -> UE SETTING & INFO -> SETTING -> SYSTEM -> Next page 4 times -> SET LTE BAND CONFIG -> SET DEFAULT LTE BAND.
Service Mode Main Menu -> UE SETTING & INFO -> SETTING -> PROTOCOL -> NR5G -> PRUNE STATUS -> REMOVE NR5G PRUNE.
Service Mode Main Menu -> UE SETTING & INFO -> SETTING -> PROTOCOL -> GCF -> REMOVE ONLY NR WHITELIST.
Optional if you need to enable mmWave bands on US model: Service Mode Main Menu -> UE SETTING & INFO -> SETTING -> PROTOCOL -> NR5G -> Sub6/mmWave -> ALL ENABLE.
Optional if you have issues going from LTE to LTE+ (carrier aggregation not working properly): Service Mode Main Menu -> UE SETTING & INFO -> SETTING -> PROTOCOL -> AS -> Next Page -> DISABLE CA COMBO CHECK -> DISABLE ON.
Enable 5G NR features (DSS & CDRX) if needed. These options might already be enabled for you by default.
Service Mode Main Menu -> UE SETTING & INFO -> SETTING -> PROTOCOL -> AS -> Next Page -> NR CDRX CONTROL -> NR CDRX ENABLE. NR CDRX is 5G power saving mode.
Service Mode Main Menu -> UE SETTING & INFO -> SETTING -> PROTOCOL -> AS -> Next Page 2 times -> NR DSS CONTROL -> NR DSS ENABLE. NR DSS is 5G Dynamic Spectrum Sharing.
Enable 5G SA if you're lucky enough to have a carrier with standalone 5G networks. This option might be enabled by default already.
Service Mode Main Menu -> UE SETTING & INFO -> SETTING -> PROTOCOL -> NR5G -> SA/NSA Mode Control -> SA/NSA ENABLE.
Service Mode Main Menu -> UE SETTING & INFO -> SETTING -> PROTOCOL -> NR5G -> SA/NSA Mode Control -> Remove SA permit list.
Service Mode Main Menu -> UE SETTING & INFO -> SETTING -> PROTOCOL -> NR5G -> NRDC -> NRDC ENABLE. NRDC is for dual connectivity with Sub6 + mmWave bands in parallel. Only applies to 5G SA networks and only if your carrier uses it.
Restart your phone, then dial *#73# to get into RF Test Mode. Click Band Selection -> Sim 1 or Sim 2 (whichever you use). On this screen if you scroll down, you'll see a list of enabled NR5G bands. Make sure all bands are enabled. See my picture below.
NOTE: Band selection won't be reset with a reboot, but might be reset after a CSC update (or a software update that includes a CSC update). You will have to re-do the service menu settings every update or re-flash of a CSC.
NOTE: If you use an eSIM or a dual-SIM phone with a 2nd SIM, you need to change the NR5G stack before changing the NR5G related options above. Change the NR5G stack to Stack 2 with the following setting first.
Service Mode Main Menu -> UE SETTING & INFO -> SETTING -> PROTOCOL -> NR5G -> Stack Selection -> Select STACK 2.
OPTIONAL: Now that all bands are enabled and usable, you can use the Band Selection menu under *#73# to selectively disable certain bands if you need to. This is not covered here but that menu is self-explanatory.
If this method isn't working, try METHOD 2 below. You do not need to try METHOD 2 if this method ended up working for you.
D. METHOD 2: Unlock all bands via Protocol Simulation menu.
If METHOD 1 above didn't work or not all bands were unlocked, you can try to unlock all bands by simulating a change in your CSC to GCF (Global Certification Forum). This won't actually change your CSC to GCF, but will change the options in the service menu as if you were on GCF CSC, which should give you access to all SA and NSA bands. Credits to @wr3cckl3ss1 for figuring out this method.
To do this method, first enter the service mode main menu using either of the following ways.
Open dialer and enter *#27663368378# to get directly into the service mode main menu.
Open dialer and enter *#73# to get into RF Test mode. Press Band Selection. Press three dots on top right -> Back. Repeat three dots -> back three more times until you get to the service mode main menu.
Using the service menu, change the following options
Go to: Service Mode Main Menu -> PROTOCOL STATE -> PROTOCOL SIMULATION -> IMEI PRE CFG SIMULATION.
In this menu, click [1] AP, then click GCF (last option). Then click [2] NET1 and change it to GCF as well. Do the same for [3] NET2. All GCF.
Press [4] Write. Then restart phone.
Check if all SA bands were unlocked. If not, repeat the band unlocking instructions from METHOD 1 above and then restart the phone and check again.
Enjoy your unlocked LTE and 5G bands!
I have personally tested this on a Canadian S23 Ultra (S918W) on US XAA firmware to enable all bands. I reflashed Canadian firmware after I unlocked the service menu and the service menu stayed accessible even on Canadian firmware. So the trick is to always start out on US firmware and unlock the menu there first.

If anyone gets this working on a US S23 Ultra, please post the full unlocked band list as in the first screenshot (which is an older screenshot from my US S22U). My Canadian S23 Ultra doesn't have mmWave bands, so I want a screenshot with mmWave bands enabled with the US S23 Ultra model. Thanks!
Can you just flash U firmware using Home CSC to keep the data?
Which US CSC enables spam protection and/or visual voicemail on a Canadian SIM card?
Thanks for this. I was curious if it was possible to enable all the things on my U1 I'm picking up tomorrow. Unfortunately it seems to confirm no n70 but hopefully Samsung and Dish can come to an agreement to add it but even if they don't, I'm just happy to have lower band n77 since that's all the midband AT&T can use here til 2024 (Pixel 7 Pro doesn't support it, a key reason for my upgrading other than the screen keeps failing lol)

In my experience , if you're switching from W to U/U1, you cannot use HOME_CSC. It will end up saying there's a boot up error and you'll need to factory reset.
Once you unlock the service menu with US firmware, you can then flash Canadian W firmware again and the service menu will still stay unlocked (with *#73# method), so you can still unlock bands on W firmware. You don't need to stay on US firmware.
I haven't been able to find any US CSC that works with Visual Voicemail in Canada. But for spam protection, any US CSC other than XAA should work (you'll need to change it through SamFW and disable cidmanager with ADBAppControl so it doesn't revert back to XAA).

Are you in the US with an AT&T SIM and going to use U1 phone? The phone should already have the bands for your carrier. I don't see why you would have to unlock anything?
i have SM-G996B (S21+ Exynos) and i changed my CSC (INU) to DBT for getting oneui5.1 update. After CSC change i got FOTA update but 5G not working in DBT CSC, so i switch back to INU but nothing change. I cant flash INU fw because Samsung not release oneui5.1 update for Indian user. Final word is My 5G not working after csc change.....can anyone help me

I am in the US but I'm using a T-Mobile MVNO (Tello) for calls and texts and Dish Network's postpaid service, Boost Infinite, for my data. Boost Infinite is currently using AT&T exclusively but they'll be sending us new SIM cards some time this quarter or next that change us to their network as the primary, AT&T as the secondary, and T-Mobile as the third priority with automatic switching between them a la Google Fi. Dish uses n29, n48, n66, n70, n71, n262, and if they buy it from T-Mobile, n26. This phone supports everything but n70. I'm hoping that Samsung will add it later as the modem supports it (in fact the iPhone 14 Pro/Max with the year older X65 supports n70 and so do a few other non-flagships from last year like the Moto G Stylus 5G so it doesn't require a flagship modem).
I tried these steps and more from the s21 and s22 guides multiple times a few days ago. On my T-Mobile SM-918U running the out of the box T-Mobile firmware. Didn't work for me.
Edit: If in the program output you see it's getting stuck on "Waiting for DIAG", then dial *#0808# on your phone to open USB settings and select "DM + MODEM + ADB" then press OK. The program should then complete the step is where it gets stuck. Regardless of what USB Setting is selected, it still sits on Waiting for DIAG.

It works perfectly fine for other people on S22 so there must be something you're doing wrong or a driver issue.
Make sure you have Samsung USB drivers installed, or reinstall them. If it still doesn't work, try to change your CSC to XAA or VZW then try again.
Also let's keep this thread about S23U, use the S22U guide to post your issues for S22 there.

It didn't wipe the data when you went from U to W firmware or vice versa? Well maybe S20 is different, but for S22 and up it will flash but will end up saying there's an error when booting your phone and you have to factory reset in recovery to make it work.

I have an s23 Ultra. ADB works fine because I have used that to remove the few Facebook apps and other social media trash I don't want on my device. I won't be converting to the XAA until I get the SIM lock removed. To remove the SIM lock, the device must be on the TMB U.

Try to reinstall the Samsung drivers (ADB might work because of Android drivers instead of Samsung) or try a different cable. Some people have reported a similar issue but it worked for them after reinstalling the Samsung drivers or using a different cable. At the least you should be able to get past Waiting for DIAG.
can anyone with a German or European S23 say if this is useful for us?
i have the S918U1 stock firmware i am new to samsung, i believe this is the US version already correct? if so the *# codes do not work and i am unable to find the correct firmware for this phone from sammobile the U1 shows no match when searched for on sammobile.

Yeah it seems like a lot of the codes are disabled on the U1. I can't even read my CSC using the *#1234# code that I found when searching the web, just doesn't do anything. *#0011# still works and that's primarily what I would be using anyway so that's good at least but I have to find a new way to read the CSC code.

I would like to know this too. Even though 5G isn't widespread in EU (no mmWave etc.), I'd like to enable it if the phone supports this but is limited/unabled for no reason.
