CONTACTS Notes field limited to 1000 characters - OnePlus 7T Pro (Regular & McLaren) Q & A

After a recent OTA update, the notes field in the Contacts app is being limited to 1000 characters. Existing contacts are not affected, but if an existing contact is edited or a new contact is created on the mobile device, the NOTES field is truncated to just 1000 characters. After these contacts are synced, the same truncated content is displayed in the NOTES field online through the Google Contacts web app as well.
But contacts edited or newly created on the Google Contacts web app will maintain their NOTES content length without being truncated whatsoever. However, these are still displayed with the 1000-character truncation on the mobile device after they are synced. But the original is not affected when subsequently viewed online through the web app.
Anyone else experienced something similar?

My OnePlus 9 and 10T have consistently had this issue with truncated notes (it does not matter whether is it in Google Contacts or other contacts app btw) losing years of aggregated notes; for gods sake this is simple text, how could this possibly be an issue except for a patent item (a or churn characteristic); my notes are critical for contextual history of many thousands of family notes, events, and clients, this is a deal breaker for us.

HTML articles shared through E-mail client show up in plain text

I just noticed this today when trying to share an article from the Pulse app. When I share the article through email, it creates a new email in plain text, complete with html tags for the formatting (i.e. <br></br>). Sharing through Gmail works normally, but I use Live as my primary service now. I checked the settings and all of my email accounts are set to HTML, so that's not the issue.
Seems to be a minor bug, but one worth noting.
Update: This only seems to happen from Pulse. Feedly shares articles fine as HTML, so this may be something that an update to Pulse can fix.

Which social login method to implement in your mobile app

Implementing a social login option in your Android or iOS app makes it possible for your users to sign in on every device and use their last saved settings and states. You can use a variety of methods to let the user sign in to the app, which one are you using and how many? I wrote a short article about it not too long ago.
In case of an app of mine with over 8,000 downloads, there are 3,600 Facebook signups, 4,500 email signups and 500 twitter signups (it's a social app so there's no option to use it without signing in). Users are not coming from any of our social sites because we don't really have a social presence, so the numbers are totally random. I there's no one-size-fits-all answer, but I thought we could help each other.

[Looking for] Multi-platform custom dictionary app

Hello dear community,
I am looking for this for quite a while.
Is there an app that will allow me to create my own cloud based dictionary? I want to improve my language skills through creating my own dictionary.
The dictionary database has to be editable online (web based), since I would like to be able copy/paste detailed definitions from different web dicts.
And of course a sync-able android app that will allow me to check some words on the go or learn while in the train
"Now" dictionary is getting pretty closer to what I wish for, but it's only available for smartphones and no browsers.
"Anki cards" is cool too, but they focus on the flip-cards learning feature which I don't frankly need. I will be completely happy with a super simple searchable custom dict.
There are some apps that allow to create custom dict file and then upload it to the SD or whatever and use it. But I want to be able to add words constantly (web or on the go)
I'm thinking - there definitely is such an app, its just me who fail to search of it properly so please help )

Know who you are on Google - standard permission to recognize you as a google user (no information is processed or collected)
View your email address, Send email as you: for being able to send you the welcoming mail (with short summary and information about your current Spreadsheet Memo assets). And the best part is that this email will be sent from your account to your account, never leaving your own context. So your email address, as well as your identity, will stay hidden and secure.
And If you don't like this app (something that, I hope, is unlikely going to happen ) you can always revoke its accesses (uninstall it). There are two ways to do this:

I've been using flashcard-based apps for quite some time (Super Memo was great!) and I've found them very useful. But every one of them had some things that just doesn't work for me (e.g. troubles with data migration, lack of support for mobile devices, no statistics, etc.) - so I've decided to write my own.
One line of code to another and the idea transforms into something with its own domain name and Facebook/Twitter page.
