Hi, I'm on the latest beta, and sometimes notifications stop showing up. Emails, messages, etc. - all of them. I don't use do not disturb and it's off. All notifications are on. I can still feel the vibrations, and I can see them in the notifications history.
What can I do?

A14B2 is NOT the latest, A14B3.1 is!
And it's called BETA for some reasons.
Almost no devs support beta.
You should get used to the beta as it is.

Sure, I get that, I was thinking maybe they're something else that I'm missing that has nothing to do with it being a beta.

Maybe try disabling it anyway to see if it helps.
I'm having exactly the same issue. A reboot is the only thing that worked for me, but after some hours notifications stop appearing. The pixel does give a vibration and notification sounds and dots are working though.

So I've had this problem for a very long while, in that I get absolutely no Facebook notifications! Well, save for some random notifications for messages, and often times I don't really have any new messages, or the app isn't able to fetch them from the server. Tried uninstalling then reinstalling the app, clearing its data... this was on Froyo. Installed Gingerbread, installed the Facebook app from the Market, and still no notifications!
Does anyone have any idea what's wrong?
The app sucks its not the phone

Well I guess it's not the phone but when I first got it, notifications came without any issues. And suddenly they stopped. :/

That's a bug in Facebook apps, sometimes you receive notification and sometimes you don't. Try other Facebook apps like friend-caster- they have an option to post notification to gmail.

Same problem
I had the same problem a while back, after much installing and uninstalling and double checking the notifications from my laptop and phone, I concluded that the problem was really the app, shows how buggy apps can be. I've been getting message notifications from the app (since I was offline in chat) but the messages were never shown under "Messages" nor in "Chat". Notifications on the other hand most of the time work properly. There were some instances on the previous updates that it did update, meaning there was a number there in a red circle, but when I opened my notifications, no actual new updates were there, although it appeared on my browser.

Hello all. I have noticed that several times a day my phone will vibrate and the notification sound will play. I look at the phone and i do not have any message. I know it's not roaming because I am right in front of a cell site and have great signal. I did a search and found that folks were having this issue with a yahoo mail app, yet I do not have this app. I am on stock with the latest OTA (until new root comes out). Any ideas? I guess i can live with it as everything else works, but I'm worried that a message might be coming through and i'm missing it.

Well when the facebook notifications happen i typically see an icon. I went ahead and disabled the notifications anyways and i'll see where i'm at in a few days I guess.
I am married, but I can say that if a woman of mine ever made a pro twilight post, I would remove her from my life.
unfriended with extreme prejudice! My Facebook notification was pretty sporadic, sometimes it would only appear for the length of time the vibration was happening.
So far, no vibrations. Maybe that was it...
I have had similar issues when I had the Yahoo mail app installed. You can turn off system notifications but it still makes the sound. I since just use the default mail app so not sure if it's still an issue.

I haven't tried this myself, but if you experience this issue across several CM versions and devices, it's worth reporting to the JIRA bug tracker. Be sure to reproduce the issue on a milestone, RC, or stable release, else your bug report will be tossed out.
Oh, I just saw that you're talking about a third-party app. I use WeatherBug Elite on my phone. I've turned on sound notifications, but I don't have a way to create a weather alert so I can't test it immediately. Not sure when bad weather will roll through either...

I can confirm this behavior today. I received numerous weather alerts that all showed in status bar, but no sound. This is most likely a bug in the application considering other apps are able to activate the notification sound without issue. I suggest e-mailing the developer (I will do the same).

Got a question on this app also. If I use the free version everything works great. Now when I go to install the elite version, everything works except my google maps won't load under the radar tab. It shows the rain or snow but not the google map. Is there anyway to fix this?

I recently noticed that every once in a while, seems like every hour or so that my s4 will vibrate once, and only once with absolutely no indication of why, no sort of notification, and I am losing my mind trying to figure out what is causing it. I have gone through a bunch of apps and disabled any kind of notification, uninstalled lots of apps and yet, it still happens. Does this happen to anyone else and or does someone know why? I am on mdk. Thanks.
Bump. No one has run into this..? Googling the issue has been useless.

Does it happen only when you pick up the phone? If so, this is an optional feature that indicates you have unread messages. That's about the only thing I can think of.

No, it can happen when it is in my pocket off, or when I am using it even.
Bmup. Still happens, tried using notification history app, and that showed nothing when the phone vibrated.

i had the same issue. in my case it was vibrating everytime i got a new email on the outlook.com app. even though i turned off all notification for that app it still vibrates.
I checked those other things already and it was still doing it. Though I believe I just figured it out in my case. Handcent privacy box. It had sent message notification in the status bar disabled and yet, it was set to vibrate every time, so that made it vibrate shortly after sending a text without any sort of notification. Hopefully that's the only reason for me.
random vibrations well
I've been noticing this too as of recent. While not in use, it tends to sit on my desk next to me. There is no set time, notification, or anything I can see triggering these vibrations. Really bugs the heck out of me.
Well I feel comfort in that I am not the only one it is happening to, and apparently the handcent thing didn't fix it, it just now vibrated for no reason. I'm completely stumped ugh.

I would backup all of your 3rd party apps, uninstall them, then see if it's still happening. Then if it's not doing it just restore one by one until you find the culprit.

Yeah its a good idea, but it would take ages to execute. Since the vibration happens randomly I would have to have the phone on my person at all times and if it happens just once in a day then I'd be restoring a single app at a time

What might be faster would be just to freeze the apps with TiBu, then it would only take a second to restore them. It might take a few days to track down, but it'll save you the hassle of having to deal with it long term

That's the culprit for me too. It's very very annoying. I have notifications turned off within outlook.com but it still vibrates when I get a new email. It must have been one of their updates that broke this because it never used to.

Nope. Because they don't natively support android wear, the watch just takes the text from the notification. And as you can see on your phone the text is also cut off. Your watch doesn't do anything else than display the text in the notification and not the full message. That only works with supported apps like gmail, hangouts, etc..

Okay, I see. I'm a bit spoiled by my Pebble cause it can show the full text with a 3rd party notification app.
EDIT: Just checked again. When I have two Whatsapp-Messages, the watch shows the first three words of each. The expanded notification on the phone shows the full text. I think, Google needs to fix this.

You are absolutely right. And knowing both ... how long do you think, this will take? I hope that some capable developer comes up with an idea to show every notification with full text. The Pebble can do it via a 3rd party notification app, so I think it should be possible for Android Wear too.

Facebook as a Beta channel for Android. They're pretty responsive to suggestions.
Whenever they release a new Beta, they post it on the Facebook Beta for Android Page also, so the more they see people say "Add Android Wear Support" the better chance it'll be added.
