It says to make calls you need to turn off airplane mode, I did turned it off and it says the same! I've been trying to fully fix my Moto E for 1 year now and I still cant do it. Thanks in advance. :crying:
1 year now? Do you have the first generation model? This forum is for the second generation.
Anyway, you probably just flashed firmware meant for a different variant of the Moto E (with a different radio).
Hey guys, So I have a GR5 from Rogers and the second Sim slot is disabled. well in the instructions it says not to use or it will damage the phone. So basically they disabled the option for the 2nd sim. is there a way to re-enable it or am I going to have to flash a different stock rom to get it working?
Thanks
I have a Rogers version, mine had the same warning. I'm running Resolution Remix but haven't tried the 2nd Sim slot.
so yesterday i was on my max 2 just playing a game when suddenly a messeage popped up in the notifictations about "no sim card detected" so i tried to remove the sim and re insert it but nothing, tried to switch roms with a reset and still nothing, anybody help?
P.S:the phone was shipped with only one working sim slot but i dont really use dual sim so i didnt care but now it dosent work and im scared that this is a hardware flaw

What is your provider? I have the same issue with a Sim card of the German Telekom. After 3 weeks of use it stopped working. I put in my second Sim which works for the moment. So the Sim slot is OK.
the sim works with other phones
Same problem, my sim was broken after 2 weeks.
I get a new one and phone works fine again.
Try to flash this zip via twrp
Same problem here... I have flashed andr68rus patch, but it does not work.
Problems start after flashing SmallEUI. Now I have flashed back the stock 20S and make a full wipe (including system) before. But there are still no SIM cards are found. When the phone is powered on and I open and close the SIM card slot, it found SIM card 1. but not second one.
After a reboot SIM card 1 is gone again. I have to open and close the SIM card slot again.
Any idea? Is this only a strange coincidence and my phone is defect or does smallEUI change something in the firmware or baseband files?

Maybe, but I experienced the same thing, also with small EUI, IIRC. Pulled my sim and put it in the wife's phone, and it worked ok, and hers worked ok in mine. Put mine back in my phone, and no dice. Flashed stock20s to try to fix it. At one point, I re-inserted with power on, and it was recognized, but my LTE went away. Was like that for a number of hours, and suddenly, after a couple of reboots, it seemed to come back to life.
Currently on AOKP MM, and I am floored by how nice it is, compared to everything else I have tried. I seem to have an issue with USB file transfers, and the LeEco camera doesn't work, but I've never seen the phone perform like it does now..

It's happened with me too. Do you find a solution?
It seems that the second SIM card is really broken. I test it in two other phones and they will not detect it too. When I remove the second SIM, the first SIM ist detected normal.
In my case it seems following problem: https://www.golem.de/news/defekte-s...en-die-probleme-fuer-oneplus-1603-119620.html
i runned into the same issue after flashing CM13 from TEAMSPAIN
After flashing CM13 from teamspain, my sim card stopped working. I flashed many other roms but couldn't make work. Then i downloaded the official rom from leeco website and after installing it, everything is back to normal and obviously my sim card slot is working again.
works with oreo ?

is this patch works when 2nd slim slot does not work at all or just when sim does not recognized but after inserting another sim works on same slot ?
because my both sim were working fine and suddenly 2nd sim slot showed sim faulty or not inserted error. checked on another phone and it works .
then inserted another sim on 2nd slot and that one works .
so can i try this patch on oreo aicp rom or not?

Hi
I want to know that if my phone is dual sim phone then why only one IMEI number is shown in fastboot getvar all
Also I am not able to use any sim, I have again flashed stock marshmallow and the IMEI are showing 0 for both sims
In the past i have flashed roms for single sim and have flashed some different custom roms as well
So what I think of it now is that, maybe my variables list is for single sim phone (imei), for dual sim it must be like imei_1 and imei_2 and the rom is searching for these variable and they are not found and hence showng 0 ?
So what is the solution to this problem ?
PS : I have no backup of .nv_data or efs if you are about to ask such question. I have both IMEI numbers on the box as well as on the phone.
Any help is appreciated !
Thanks
Good that you have the IMEI numbers. For starters, download the latest Stock ROM for your phone and boot to Bootloader/fastboot mode.
Code:
mfastboot erase modemst1
mfastboot erase modemst2
Then try to install the full Stock ROM using instructions available in the forums, then test out and see if it works. If it still does not work, then install QPST (instructions available in the forum to install and connect your device)
USE CAUTION when writing NVRAM, you can write any junk and there will be no warning sign. From hereon, make notes of whatever you do !!
Once the device is connected, dump a local backup of NVRAM to your PC. Then locate the ID number for IMEI (could be 550, good to confirm though cause am not sure about dual IMEIs) then you need to update the IMEI number in a specific format (ensure you're entering them as HEX), if you read through the forums, you should find the correct sequence, starting from the 2nd digit, you basically reverse the digits.
Once this is done, and you restart out of BL mode, most likely your phone should be back up and running. Proceed to run a full Stock flash and hopefully you're up.
I'm giving you top level instructions on what to do, because you need to do a lot of research before messing with NVRAM values and during your course of locating all the info I've asked you to look for you should find them.
Cheers !
A really weird problem appeared on my device after upgrading to the latest miui 8.7.19 global beta from the 8.7.12.
After this update my secondary SIM slot stopped working. It reads the SIM correctly but it can't connect to the network.
If I put the same SIM on the slot1 it works, if I put it on the slot2 it doesn't work.
It's driving me crazy because I have the need for 2 SIM for work.
I already tried to revert it back to the old ROM via fastboot formatting the phone but it did not help. The problem is still there.
Can someone please help me? thanks.
