I'm pretty sure you have to install TMO firmware. I know it's there when you do but I've never used it.

Hey everyone, I am thinking about buying a used ATT SGSII. From what I have read this phone will work fine on Tmobile (except 3g/4g). Will there be any problems with reception or text/mms messaging or does this phone use all the same Tmobile bands? Finally, will I have any issues unlocking this phone for Tmobile without an ATT SIM?
Thanks

if it is sim/carrier unlocked the I think so, @hamdogg will have the definitive on the freq. for LTE I think.
But be aware the the Bell phones are bootloader locked so you will never be able to run custom ROMs, only Sony based ones, getting and keeping root is not the easiest.
Hi, I'm planning to buy a V10 VZW to use it out of USA. So the question is if it will work GSM internationally. I've read that VZW phones are globally unlocked. I know the setting to "global" but I dunno if it will work. Anyone who use a VZW v 10 out of USA without having to call to unlock it?
Hello! I use LG V10 verizon in Europe and it works just fine, as it is supposed to work! No need for any unlock or whatsoever.

Thanks that the info I wanted to know. ??
USA snapdragon.
Any frequency issues? Can they be fixed?
Any T-Mobile features not useable?
As far as I know (saw on other threads) T-Mobile supports all versions. Or better said, T-Mobile won't block any features if you use another phone on their network.

Hi can you tell me how you unlocked att s9 plus, i'm not able to unlock with att or third party unlock site, thanks in advance.
Mine is bought outright.
Then requested unlock code on at&t site.
An independent dealer told me her att phone wouldn't do hotspot when on tmobile.
Maybe that varies per phone model and/or android version.
Would have to try to be sure.
Hi,
Have an unlocked ATT phone on Tmobile, wifi calling doesn't work.
That's why I'm staying on att...plus asking around, tmobile still needs better coverage here.
Anyone know if this is available yet? Trying to flash a Verizon phone to ATT so I can use Wi-Fi calling and other carrier-specific stuff for ATT, thanks!

You need to go to the general forums and look. There are multiple Firmware threads for all major us carriers.
Start here and read... Then read it again and ask questions before you flash (not after, lol): //G965U ATT\\ Stock Odin files firmware G965USQU1ARBI
Ive also asked the mods to move your thread to the proper section.

I flashed my unlocked phone to ATT firmware but I could not use Wi-Fi calling and HD calling because I am on a prepay program with ATT. I was told, don't know if it's true, but Wi-Fi calling and HD calling will not work unless the phone is an ATT branded phone.

The ATT "features" are available only on post paid accounts so they are not going to work on a prepaid account.
The features work perfectly fine on a non ATT branded phone as long as the phone is compatible with the features and the SIM card has been provisioned.
Just an FYI, I have the sm-g965u1 flashed with att firmware arf4 and my SIM card is provisioned on a post paid account and all of att's "features" work flawlessly.

Thank you, that is good to know in case I decide to go to a postpaid account. How would the SIM card be provision correctly to get it to work?

I'm not entirely sure how the SIM card can be provisioned on ATT's network for the features to work. I am using an old SIM card I originally had ATT put in my HTC M10 when I needed a nano SIM. The SIM card has since been swapped into my Galaxy S8, and now Galaxy S9+. All that I have read from other users experience with success involves having ATT provision the SIM card in an ATT branded phone, then using that same SIM card in your sm-g965u1 with the att sm-g965u firmware flashed to get the features enabled.

Yes, I have read that too. Since I don't have an ATT branded phone then I guess I will just be out of luck until either I get an ATT Android or an iPhone.

Where did you get the AT&T ARF4 firmware? I need to flash that to my unlocked S9+.
