Question Apps don't work after root - Motorola Edge 40 Pro / Moto X40 (China)

Hello, I root my edge 40 pro with magisk. Now some apps (mostly banking apps) don't work.
If it's possible to hidden the root for this apps?

Check if Play Protect certification is on?

There stay "device It is not certified"

Sorry, now i find it. It's on!

See this thread. GPay/Wallet won't work if your device is not passing BASIC and DEVICE_INTEGRITY responses.
Third party banking apps might use other methods to detect root.

[Q] Greenify alternate/renamed build

Hi All,
I love Greenify, I used it regularly on my phone.
Unfortunately, I got a new job and my work required me to install an MDM product, Mobiliron
It will not let me access my work information unless I uninstall greenify. It detects certain applications on their list. It's a really dumb implementation, but not much I can do about it.
Is there an alternate build that I could install that anyone has that is the same application but named something different that might hopefully not flag in their application blacklist?

In case you have installed Xposed, try MinMinHide.
Thanks for the option, but I need a non root option unfortunately. Greenify works fine, but because it flags on an application blacklist it conflicts
For an Android 5.x device, you can use secondary user for your work app, which won't see the apps installed in the primary user.

Ine just found this here in the forums:
[APP][ROOT] Servicely - Replacement for Greenify [24 Apr 15]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3091708
You must be rooted, but at least don't have Greenify installed.

Well, Servicely also requires root and thus is rather impracticable, I guess.

Yes, you can set up different accounts for the same device.

Ways to complately hide root from specific apps (Lollipop)

I know that there are threads like this, but the only solutions are Xposed + RootCloak or Cydia + RootCloak.
There is an app of a home service provider (T-Home) which you can watch the channels live with: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=hu.telekom.tvgo
1. Xposed + RootCloak is not working with the app.
2. Cydia is not compatible with my device (SG Note 4 on 5.1.1).
3. I also tried to temporarly disable SuperSU, but it's not working either.
Any suggestions are welcome!
Thanks for Your help in advance!
Many apps are also looking for xposed now and the only way around it is to refresh without them.

Hello and welcome to XDA Q&A section of the Forum.
If you have the XPosed framework installed you can downlaod and install a module called "Greenify". It lets you force close apps after not using them and put them into a mode called "hibernation". This module also has a feature that lets you pick the apps you don't want hibernating.
Hope that solves your issue and hit "thanks" if I did

Mate 10 Pro rooting questions

Hi, I would like to root my mate 10 pro and have already tried using FHMate10tool but this resulted in not being able to use themes and google pay which I would like to still be able to use. Is there any way to root the device without taking away functionality that it's supposed to have? I want to be able to utilise the NFC capabilities so that I can store all of my NFC charging cards and Student ID on the phone but this needs root. I have considered the Magisk root. Will this remove any functionality from the device if I use that? Will google music and Google photos still work as they should? Will updates work etc?
Mark.

[Question] Trying to hide root from bank apps

Hi guys,
So I have a Galaxy S7e that was choking up until I bit the bullet and flashed the Note 7 FE ROM. Trying to finally start using Titanium again I rooted using Magisk. However my banking apps stopped working complaining about root..
I hid magisk and specifically hid it from the banking apps as well but no go.. Today I updated magisk to the latest version and noticed that 1 out of 2 worked again. What's surprising is I could not find the place in the new app where you could pick what app to hide root from anymore.
I seem to have read that in 2016 Magisk's dev said he would not do that anymore so I'm a bit confused.
Anyway would love to know if it's possible to hide again. The app is Juice by MCB (Maybe without spaces, available on apk-mirror as I think it's downloadable only from Mauritius)
Thanks!

Well like I said 1 of 2 of the apps that did not work due to root are now working so I guess there is some hiding going on.. the cat and mouse game feels quite rigged and MUCH slower than 'back in the days' sadly
