Hello, I have just taken delivery of my new Black Shark 3 pro MBU-H0. It's a great phone, but for some reason I cannot get any data whatsoever on cricket. I've checked APNs, am on the latest global from what I can tell. Rooted and BL unlocked.
Anybody have any tips or anything? I double checked all the bands before purchase...
Edit: please delete this post, turns out Cricket is having issues right now in my area, and it just so happened to coincide with me switching phones LOL.
Sorry about that.
I just got the latest version of MIUI on the Note 9S. No root, stock global rom. However, I cannot make or receive calls or texts unless I just restart my phone, then I can do it for a few minutes. After that, I cannot send and receive again.
My phone has B4 and B7 bands, which are needed for the network in my country, and the phone i had before has the same bands and worked fine with the provider, so it is not an issue of connectivity. I have 3-4 bars all the time.
Wondering if anyone else has this issue.

I have a similar issue. I can't receive calls or text. I can call, though. Were you able to fix your problem?
I had Vodafone (the carrier from which I bought the sim card) change my Sim card. It worked for a while receiving calls but it doesn't no more.
Please, let me know if you found a solution.
I swapped to pixel experience and switched to a provider with more compatible bands. That seems to have solved the issue. MIUI sucks for notifications, and the note 9s just doesn't have the hardware for some north american providers

Thank you for the answer.
I still don't know what the problem is, though. I can not change phone, right now, nor the provider.
I do think that maybe the network is not working propertly with the phone system (MIUI) and, somehow, this is messing with the SIM configuration.
I am running out of options so I would appreciate any feedback.
Hi dear community,
I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G and wanted to check out, where I can see the different modes and if 5G networks are available.
Well, in fact that I'm a geek with frequencies and stuff, I was happily surprised, that actual phones show the operators and the mode. In Germany I've got 3 Operators (T-Mobile, Vodafone and o2) and we can see them each 3 times (e.g. o2 2G / o2 3G / o2 4G and so on) on actual phones. But with the new Galaxy Note 20 5G I can't I can only see the 3 without the modes.
Is it possible (perhaps with root, what I already wanted to perform) to change some settings in the build.prop or somewhere else, to activate that? Or do 5G phones don't have this feature anymore? The Device had Android 10 and I upgraded to 11. Still nothing. It was delivered with spanish Vodafone software (I still don't get it why) and even the update with the neutral software from Germany, didn't changed anything. Even the spanish Vodafone software and the welcome screen in spanish after resetting the phone didn't disappeared. I don't want to send this phone back, Can anyone help me please?
Please excuse my grammatical issues.
with googel controls now in effect slot of stuff that was once accomplished previously are now not. so I would likely is reason for no response, even though I am rooted on tmoble with 20 ultra (thanks dev team!) . I will be going back to using the 10+ because of this kinda stuff until scoped storage is hacked by a talented person.
as for your question, I am not sure exactly what your thoughts are, although I can only say that for tmoble pretty much always been it's a since 4g came out a scam to show only 4g,lte/hsp+ or whatever it is when the service is actually ¹g or 2g at best, here is a screenshot of the scam taken by myself showing 5G (LOL) when it in REALITY is so weak, my old KitKat s3 was faster. this kinda stuff happens all day long. t-mobiles ultra fast 5g network is actually a lie and is just enough speed it make browsing data work and designed to get to logged in to your wifi asap. because even with 10mbs download you actually have none when your upload is. 0.27 and according to their 'network specialists " I called that's within minimum the 5g range
Hi, i bought a unlocked xq-bc62 in US. I travel a lot and discovered 5G won't work in several carriers networks, no matter what I do in the phone ( I spend more time outside US). I called the carriers support and they confirmed their network doesn't have any lock preventing the use of overseas 5G bought phones. So far, I tried to use it in Portugal, UK, Ireland and Brazil but 5G is not recognized by the phone. I changed the sim for a 5G local one, changed ASN, manually chose network (5G ones are not displayed) and no success. I even tried to pray, but again, no success. I contacted Sony Support and they said phone will only work in 5G in 2 of the 3 main carriers in US and not outside US, despite the phone tech specs says it will work in all the frequencys used by above carriers. There are some threads here that confirm xq-bc62 Is not a full 5g phone. All said and done, my Question: is it possible to flash another region Image like xq-bc52 or xq-bc72 in this hardware? Will it work fine and, mainly, will 5G networks be accessible outside US? Tks
Some times its hardware but you can try mtk engineer mode settings there may be something of use there
If you can get the original vendor file usually have (user low ship...) its usually international
Unless the phone is using 4.5G and not real 5G

Yep, the US models have numerous disabled features and run late on updates. I've also noticed it's crippled or disabled while roaming. I'm not sure if it's directly from disabled features or it it has been blocked by telcos because it malfunctions. (It gets kicked off cell towers in the US)
The US model has slightly different radio hardware so I would expect problems flashing the OS from another region. There are some tricks for changing the feature lists that might be a safer bet.

How would one check what is and isn't turned on network wise??
I was able to flash the XQ-BC52 ROM in my XQ-BC62 hardware. So far, working fine in 4G+, but I´m in area with no 5G coverage. Tomorrow I will go to an 5G area and check f it worked. If not, I will try the XQ-BC72. I will keep you posted.

Maybe something along the lines of Getting VoLTE and VoWiFi on unlisted carriers by flashing mbn file or 5II/1&5III VoLTE patch. [Guide to release the root] or https://band.radio/
I haven't rooted yet so I haven't tried them. I bring a T-Mobile LG Velvet 5G with me when I travel. It's a little slower but doesn't have all the telco problems.
Test done, xqbc-52 doesn't see 5G network as well. XQ-BC72 SEA is a no go, don't even recognize the SIM card in the phone.
Will try another firmwares and the tweaks kevinmcmurtrie mentioned above, but my feeling is: I paid the 5G price for the Phone and actually got a a 4G Phone. Very frustrated with Sony. Thinking seriously about going back to Samsung.

But hey here's the pros, best physical camera sensors, Micro SD card Slot and headphone jack...
UPDATE!!! 5G is working!!!!! After Several Attempts, I finally got 5G. What worked for me, in Claro BR Network, was flash a Hybrid ROM. I Flashed A XQ-BC52 ROM with Modem files from XQ-BC72. So far everything working as it should. My only concern, next month I will be in Germany, may I have trouble in LTE over there with XQ-BC72 modems?

Tks for the spirits up Ainz_Ooal_Gown. The main reason I Bougth Sony 1 iii is the 3,5 mm jack. I hate USB adapters......
Ok, major setback. it worked for 3 hours and when I turned on my second Sim card the phone 5G was gone. Turned it off, reset radio configs, but no success. Apparently turning the second sim on override the BC72 configs. Time to get serious now and root the phone, what I'm very reluctant to do.

How did you manage to do that? Could you please explain the process?
Settings, Network & internet, Smart connectivity and turn off. On by default. See if it works. I found where I am at it tends to look for wifi over 5G.

I am on Mint, T-mobile towers. 5G works great, has to be in your settings. For MMS use the T-mobile APN settings.
I would like to activate 4g+ on my xq-bc52!
how to do ?
thank you.
Hello guys,
does anyone is experiencing issues with oppo find n2 with 4G/5G network ?
Actually, I got the phone and all was working fine but since a while the phone doesn't seem to have any coverage ...
I checked my sim card on another phone and its working pretty fine ...
any clues ? or hint to reset or choose a specific band ?
thanks !
Oppo find n2 working fine with 4g 5g on TMobile North East USA. Wonder if removing stock apps messed with something. Have you tried resetting to factory and testing again.
I am here in Toronto, Canada and using Telus(business) and Koodo(personal) For some reason, I get dual 5G standby even with Koodo. No issues at all.
I've got the Find N2 Flip, in the UK so not sure how relevant this is..... I'm having major issues with receiving SMS though, one minute it works, the next it doesn't for whole days. Or I'll have somebody send me a text, won't receive it, then starting from several hours later I'll receive that one text dozens of times over the course of the day and still keep getting it the next day. Seen a few Reddit posts about SMS issues. It's just a vague assumption but I feel like some of these Oppo phones just don't like the UK networks. The flip only went on sale here this month, so I'm hoping it gets fixed soon. It's an amazing phone, I wouldn't get rid of it even with this problem, but it is a major inconvenience when almost every single account I have everywhere has 2FA set up lol.
