Refresh rate bugged - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
This post is about Magic 5 Pro, but I think magic 4 ultimate could have the same issue
When I set variable screen refresh my browser goes at 60fps instead of 120.
When I set "high", my YouTube goes at 30fps instead of 60
I don't see a way to have 120fps on Chrome AND 60fps on YouTube at the same time, which is a reasonable motive to toss this garbage away and never buy Honor again
Do you have the same problem?

Record at exactly 60fps?

Does anyone know if it is possible to record video with the LG G5 at a frame rate of exactly 60fps. When I capture at 60fps with this phone I get an actual frame rate of 59.45fps and this causes some judder when viewed on a 60hz display. I'm using Android version 7.0.

DOOGEE BL7000 Only Records Video At 10fps

one of the phones i own is a DOOGEE BL7000 camera is decent and phone is phone should be able to film 30fps no problem in 1080p but no matter if i use stock camera app of one from the app store where i can change the fps it still only records at 10fps in 1080p and 30fps Variable stays around 12fps to 27fps in 720p what can i do? to get constant 30fps? at 1080p
just found this video that was rec with this phone and its doing 1080p 30fps
also i can only seem to use the top camera lens on the back and have no idea how to switch to the bottom one looked all over the camera app can't see any way to change camera

Stutter?

So I play a game that's called wordzee. Works fine on first start.. but If I move to a new app and come back to the game the frame rate is a stutter fest.
Even if I close and restart the game, it sometimes still stutters.
This also happens with Chrome browser. But on the browser, it happens immediately after I use Smart Select with the spen. The scrolling stutters. Only way to fix is to close and reopen.
Anyone with similar experience? Is it the 120hz to blame? (It almost looks like it goes below 60hz)
yes most games are locked to 60 fps

What's weird is that if i put the phone in standard 60 then launch the game, it is a smooth 60. If the phone auto adjusted from 120 to 60... it is a janky 60. It's visually noticeable.
I'm also showing the frame rate from developer settings. The phone never dips below 120. Even on static images.
Guess I'm not sure how this adaptive refresh rate is actually supposed to work.

tivo stream 4k refresh rate at 30 hz on 4k resolution setting?

Question Is samsung is using frame interpolation in super slow video?

Hi,
I was testing the super slow video and after the record i found that the video look like frame interpolation... It is like in TV when you maximize motion plus etc some fake frames are inserted and you can see artifacts on moving objects. The same behave i was able to get when i was using gorpo app to make super slow motion form 60FPS. Anyone know what is the speed that samsung is using to capture super slow video? 240fps? As for the reference i was using s10+ for the same video that i paste the link below and there was no artifacts, just clear items floating in glass. On video below that is recorded via 23u you can see artifacts on closer side of the glass... That is very strange... Can't belivethat flagship is using frame interpolation for super slow video...

EDIT:
I found the answer on samsung website:
On Galaxy S23 Series, users can record approximately 0.5 second of video captured at 240fps and digitally enhance the video to 960fps with approximately 16 seconds of playback. Playback time can be edited in Super Slow-mo player.
So no true 960fps like in s10+ but digitally enhanced so frame interpolation.... That is downgrade actually when you want to record really fast objects like in vide that i posted
Probably, but that's not necessarily a drawback
@zSyntex
But with fast moving objects it creates artefacts like in my video. I was using quite often super slow motion in work to and never have issue like this on s10+. I know that it is just a phone and i have special camera that capture 5000fps but it is quite sophisticated and time consuming to set it up, phone was quicker and sometimes shows what i need without special equipment.

Of course, it's like frame insertion or like the TV interpalotaion for 120Hz content.
But probably it will be more difficult to achieve high frame with these resolutions
