Pulling. Nope, tried KingRoot, but no method available in that, so I'm open to other suggestions.

System pull posted. http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v10/development/pull-t-mobile-lg-v10-t3236706

No luck so far but it's being worked on. Looks like it might require dumping a rooted kernel on there.

My lady called me and said her phone has a new OTA? I rooted her phone but didn't unlock it. Should we update with OTA? Anyone know what this update is?

Just got this today about an hour ago.
Did not seem to break root, i'm using LBE privacy guard and it's still running the active protection service. Is there another easier way to test if root is still working?

See if SU grants permission for an app like "Adaway" or something like that. My lady got the update about few hour ago as well.

[Q] Remove Apps without Rooting

How do I remove the unbelievable amount of crapware such as Amazon and Zynga Games from this phone without rooting it?

Have you tried disable?
sent from my locked rooted P769 v20f
I'm on YouTube (BioDesigner48)
You're able to disable it, but that's it. If you root you can "quarantine" them and it's sort of a more powerful form of disabling. It stops them from ever starting up again and saves a ton of memory, RAM and physical. Now, why would you not want to root? Why not use the LGPwn?
Because if I root the phone I void the warranty and void T-Mobiles Jump program and would have to pay full price. I only got this phone because my HTC Sensation no longer works and I needed a phone to hold me over until a phone came out that I actually wanted.
You can just as easily unroot, lol.

I'm hoping it can somehow override the unlocked bootloader requirement. I'm gonna try it regardless.
I'm willing. Where is installer.

Forget it. As of now it says, "Your device currently isn't supported. " Anyways. When it tries to unlock the bootloader, it'll most likely end up just rebooting. And the ROMs will probably be for the P760 (As CM supports it officially on the site)
Yep does not work. Unsupported.

There was a small window open for the P769 but LG took care of that. Do you think they check our IMEI and block the token?

In all honesty I don't even know at this point. I'd imagine it only "works" on phones that are "officially" unlockable. They even stated that just about every Verizon phone is out the door lol.
I saw p760 is on the support list, not 769.
So no luck for 769 user here?

I look at the P769 as a T-Mobile phone instead of an LG phone sometimes. They do not want the L9 to run CyanogenMod. Plain and simple. They want us to get a Nexus for that.
Sent from my LG-P769 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Well from a theoretical standpoint, it would possibly unlock with a P760 ROM(?), like we had to do to unlock our bootloader.

Probably, but... And here it comes:
I think it was xonar_ from my old OB forum who found out, that even if you flash you phone with a kdz file, some partitions remain untouched/simply dont get flashed. Maybe if you manually would e.g. flash every single one, you might have a chance. But that being said, we need a guineapig

[Q] How to unroot?

Decided to trade out my S4 mj7 for an HTC one. Simply can't stand the inability to flash custom recoveries/ROMs/tweaks. That being said I need to unroot my S4 but haven't been able to find a real how to on it. I would greatly appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction to do so. Thank you.

Did you try a full unroot from supersu? Also flashing the latest odin tar should make your phone seem like new.

Truthfully I was unaware that there was a full unroot option in supersu. I'll re-enable the apps I have frozen, remove root apps and try that. Thanks
