Getting IMEI of phone from computer - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone,
I've been browsing this forum to figure out the answer to this.
I am trying to get the IMEI of a connected Android device, the fastest way possible.
From what I have been reading, there are two paths from here.
1. Going the ADB way: if I use this I need to enable the developer mode, and then USB debugging. Is there a way to enable developer mode without having to tap seven times on the build number?
2. Not using ADB. Is there a way to get the IMEI without using ADB? So far I haven't found any.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Have you tried *#06# code from your phone dialer to get Imei number of your model

Hi Ashwinrg, thank you for your answer. This is what I am trying to avoid. I would like to have as little manual input as possible.
I am able to do this on iOS devices, via imobiledevices. I just plug the device in and get the IMEI with ideviceinfo

[Official] Bootloader Unlock Codes

As you all know, the site to obtain bootloader unlock codes is currently down. It certainly has me distraught specifically for the View10 community which I'm working hard to grow and make successful. This is only a speed bump. I'm am still trying to figure out what is going on and working to get it back. (I don't directly handle it).
I know the very importance of having an easy method to unlock the bootloader of a device and this certainly has thrown a wrench into things.
So, to get around this hiccup, I have setup a Google form for users to fill out with the appropriate information in order to request a bootloader unlock code. One of my colleagues will have access to the spreadsheet that the data dumps into and will update it with the unlock codes. I will then email you your unlock code. Turn around time we're looking at is about ~24hrs (not including weekends).
This is not ideal but I feel this is the next best thing until we sort out the site and what exactly is going on.
I'm thankful for everyone's patience with this and all the developer's support for our device
Please follow this link to request an unlock code: Feel free to share this to other users as this is not specific to View10

UPDATE:
Having to halt unlock code requests and will be closing the form till further notice.
Our team is aware of the site being down and working to bring more info sometime in May.
Appreciate your understanding.

The unlock site is back! But at this time for only 60 days. If you need to unlock the bootloader of any Honor or Huawei devices please get the code now and keep it safe. If there are changes to this I'll keep everyone posted.

Sending emails out to the first ~100 users requesting their unlock codes. It'll take time, please be patient.
Thanks!
Thanks for arranging alterative solution. Submitting one of my phone's details

Unlocked! Thank you Chris!
Thanks for your great support Chris.
Can you also take some effort to provide the below:
1. VoLTE kernel sources to make utilize of custom roms to the full extent.
2. Regular EMUI updates for Indian version of View 10.
Thanks
We are currently out of lookup requests for unlock codes. We will have to request more Monday. We did not expect to receive over 1000 submissions in less than 72hrs.

Think the reason the bootloader unlock code does not recognize is probably because the device does not recognize it in adb mode or it recognizes the wrong number.
If the device is not recognized as adb mode, is the boot loader unlock code not recognized?
If there is a problem with device recognition, is there a way to recognize the device in adb mode?
If the bootloader unlock code is wrong, should we talk to @[email protected]_USA?

I dont think the bootloader unlock code is wrong! But check again your settings...
You must enable Developer Options (7x click on Build Number in settings "About phone")
In Developer Options it is required to enable OEM Unlock.
And you must enable ADB Debugging in charging mode (before USB Debugging) and finally USB Debugging (if you enable USB Debugging before ADB Debugging, USB Debugging will not stay enabled and is disabled soon you leave the settings...)
If you have USB connected with the Phone (and the drivers must be installed automatically by windows, if not use HiSuite by Huawei to connect phone and close HiSuite after in the background) -
and you open Minimal ADB and Fastboot in administrative mode, type:
adb devices
On Phone Screen you receive a RSA Request and you must except with "always from this computer" and okay.
With:
adb reboot bootloader
you enter Fastboot Mode.
On Screen FRP must be unlocked
With:
fastboot oem unlock codexxx..
you flash the Unlock Code and confirm on phone screen.
After automatically Factoryreset reset with low-level wipe appears.

Pixel 3 enable diag mode

Hi,
i've a rooted pixel 3, is there a way to enable diag port? Thanks
Yeah but manipulations are impossible. Like, if you're looking to use pdc tool to flash mbn files , just quit now.

Volte has to be allowed by your carrier first. I had a first gen pixel and my carrier didn't support it for vllte. Contacted them and they pushed he settings from their end. I had to do some manipulation to trigger the proper mbn file and it ended up working.
However that was when debugging aosp vendor image from Google allowed diag mode . They don't now.
So short answer is no for enabling volte. In regards to the other stuff, I wanna say no as ell.
Imei spoofing might be an option
Meid, no idea
You can do the mods via magisk, but VoLTE must first be allowed by your carrier.
help
imei spoofing possible with that? because i'm in a country where the phone gets blocked by the imei, and i want to rewrite one. Yes it isn't legal but no other option instead of wasting my phone.

Phone and ports are recognised ,yeah but it doesn't open in qpst .like I can't modify anything. Only ever tried on pie . Haven't touched it on q. I followed pixel 2 qxdm thread where they have custom built magisk and module for it.

just bcuz someone can connect in qpst doesnt mean theres not other security features in place that could prevent you from messing with qcn or imei.. functions are probably limited/restricted

for your information pal, i want to fix my imei which is showing something 0044 instead of my original one and there is no carrier detection as well. LOL
Also, i'm able to get detected in qpst via modem port and made a backup of qcn file and even to restore it as well but it says read-only memory and no changes were made. LOL
pixel 3 diag port enable is ok but when u re lock bootloader or factory reset every change made on qcn or qxdm will revert

When you execute "su", you should receive a popup on the phone where you have to grant superuser permissions. You have only a few seconds to reply by default. Check Magisk, Settings, Superuser, for these 3 options:
Automatic Response
Request Timeout
Superuser Notification
Make sure none of them are set to Deny or None.

In theory you need to go
ZUI官网 - 刷机
Then enter IMEI, serial, email.
Wait for email from Lenovo service with image, enable developers, unlock, then flash it via minimal ADB.
Kind of standard unlocking bootloader procedure. (Didn't unlock by myself, do it at your own risk).
Can try to support in telegram.
Pm me if you wanna try.
Tx alot for answer, i was thinking that i don't want to loose warranty now, so maybe i will keep that phone as it is... The worst is i wanted magic for modul installation for my DualSense5 for gaming....

You need to user IMEI1 (only letters and numbers).
And serial number that you can find in Settings->my phone->technical details->status
My PC didn't find a phone in bootloader mode (have a lot of tries and a lot of devices, may be some drivers conflict)

Not working. IMEI1 contains only numbers (not letters) and both SN and IMEI 1 are valid. I verified that with tech support. They were able to match both but they couldnt use them in the web page for unlocking either. So somehow it doesnt work...

Yes, thats the way.
Can anybody here share there sn.img file with their IMEI & serial numbers? I've tried requesting this file via ZUI many times without success. I'm thinking i could swap out the numbers with my own data.
I'm having the same invalid IMEI1 when I submit for the unlock file.
How did you get the website to work?

Question Root help

I recently received a Oneplus Nord N200 from a friend and I was told it had been rooted and was frp locked. I managed to get into the device to where it is usable but it has some bugs. So I was gonna reroot it and I have found several guides to do so however I keep getting errors and failed attempts bc it seems to locked. Here are some pictures of the results. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as this is my first time rooting anything and I'm hitting a wall here.

It looks like you have a carrier-locked device.
Follow this guide from OnePlus. It will take 7 days.
If your OEM Unlocking setting in developer options is greyed out, run
adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.qualcomm.qti.uim

You have to supply OnePlus with the IMEI, SN, unlock code that is loaded ON THE PHONE.
This will NOT ALWAYS match if the phone has been sent into Oneplus in a bricked state and they generate a new IMEI/Serial for that phone or swap your phone for another refurbished phone.
You then have to pull this information from phone and wait another week after submitting request for unlock code for same phone.
Always send OP the IMEI (Dialer #*06*), Serial # in device info screen, and unlock code generated from phone itself to unlock bootloader.

FRP Bypass on SM-X900 possible?

My mom gave me a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra to have unlocked since she can't remember her google account info and I can't get back into it. I have tried flashing with Odin but there are no FRP files for this device yet, as far as I can tell. Has anyone been able to get past the FRP lock on these? The current firmware is X900XXU3BVL2. CSC is XAR. WiFi-only tablet.
Some sites say to use the emergency dialer and go into test mode to bypass but there is no emergency dialer. Other sites say to use TalkBack but the options they say to use to bypass are not available on this tablet so I cannot get into the device at all. I am stuck in the setup so I can't even get in to turn on USB Debugging for ADB commands.
Please help.
