I downloaded it but couldn't get it to work. It doesn't give me the right modem in options.

I have managed to send one single fax while I had 100% signal quality. All other attempts were aborted with "line dropped/error sending page".

The O2 Asia fax software KSE Truefax 2.03 will cause your radio to hang and never turn on if you are running the leatest CE and Radio load from HTC.
If you are running 3.16.13 or later then the radio will never turn on if you install Truefax. KSE replace rilgsm.dll and other files that are from the previous version of CE and radio.
They are obviously not using the Pocket PC 2002 SDK for fax control, but a dirty hack using rilgsm.dll.
I was the one who posted the myxda.com website to get the fax and mms software. The fax software should be able to run with the lastest rom. im using 3.17 and latest radio.

I have just downloaded from myxda.com the fax software for my Qtek1010 and it seem that it is working you can try it from this site

Try using 15 1's for IMEI, just worked for me. Your email address must be valid though, as the link gets emailed to you.

Can I use any of the tools available here, or are there others I can use to downgrade an ipaq 3850 from wm2003, (upgraded by usb bootloader), the problem is that the ipaq wireless pack just will not work with this configuration, when I try to flash an earlier rom I get the error because 3850 isnt supposed to have WM2003. Any help greatly appreciated.

Try this:
In order to downgrade to PPC2002 you must follow this : Download the 2002 ROM and extract the ROM file. This ROM file is 16 bytes bigger than the 2003 one. The 16 bytes difference in the 2002 ROM is header information. With a HEX editor strip the first 16 bytes. Both 2003 and 2002 files are now equal in size. Rename the 2002 file to the same name as the 2003 file, and follow the same instructions as you used for upgrading to 2003.

Hi guys.
I have an iPAQ 3850 that was given to me a few years ago. I never upgraded, and am now running into a situation where program upgrades are requiring an upgrade to PPC 2003. Seems that HP doesn't provide this anymore.
If anyone could point me in the right direction, or can send a file I'd appreciate it.

I'm using xda II trying to upgrade from 1.72.104 to WM2003 se with 1.03 boatloader. before that I've succesfully upgrade my XDA II from 1.72.800 to WM 2003se with boatloader 1.02. what I do not know why appeared model id error with boatloader 1.03
