corrupt screen using landscape program - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

Hi
can anyone help
i've install jimmys landscape program on my xda, it didn't work, just corrupts the screen, now i stop the program & keep getting a corrupt screen. Can anyone help please. Tried reset, still corrupt
Mark

If it boots succesfully, you can cradle it and remove the software from PC (if possible). Another option is to delete the program's link in \Windows\Startup, but it may have penetrated the system too deep.
However, notice that JS's Landscape and Nyditot Virtual display warn you and advise you to do a full backup before installing. Restore from that backup

Keys to press to create Bootloader Backup

The screen of one of my two XDA I is broken, but as the whole technical stuff inside is still working I am trying to get hold of my data that is stored on it. Unfortunately the Backup function of Active Sync is does not help because it does not accept my second device as one to put the backed up data one ("...device is not the same...").
Now I want to do it with the SD Backup function of the Bootloader, but as I cannot see what the screen is dysplaying I am not sure what buttons to press. Does someone know what buttons I have to press in what order to make the phone saving the data on the SD Card? Thanks for any help.
I think it is not possible, what you want to do.
There is a backup option in the bootloader, but this is just for the ROM and the bootloader. No additional data will be backup.
Also, if you only enter the bootloader, all of your data will be lost. It´s the same like doing a hard reset...
Stefan
I think you're trying to do something other than what you are actually trying to accomplish. Copying the bootloader isn't going to get the data off of your device. If you need to create a backup of the data, simply remove all your prior relationships then redock your broken unit and then you should be able to create a new relationship and create a fresh backup from the device. However, if you've already entered bootloader, you're done, as entering the bootloader performs a hard reset on the device.
Suggestions
I think what you can do is:
1. Connect your PPC to your PC with USB Craddle and ActiveSync
2. Install Pocket Controller software to control your XDA from your PC. Thus you can see the screen of your XDA on your PC.
2. Use any backup software (Sprite backup or Sunny soft ..) to back up your data.
Hope it helps.

[Q] Weird touch issue.

Hello all,
For some apps and menus I cannot access the bottom of the screen. Just a small enough part that makes it impossible to select any options or buttons. Accept or decline for example or Settings when hitting the menu button on the launcher screen.
As I mentioned it doesn't always happen.. When on the launcher screen I CAN access the quick bar at the bottom of the screen. It also doesn't happen while I am in the settings menu as I can also access About Phone.
When I first started to notice it happening I was using ROMeOS3D v134 So I tried flashing Mwakious3D 3.0. Before Flashing I factory reset and formatted everything but SD Card in ext4 recover.
It seems odd that it only occurs for some apps and menus which makes me want to rule out Hardware, however reflashing a new FW with a full wipe didn't fix the issue either.. When Flashing, I did no backup/restore except google's own account app backup/reinstall.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

hmm.. no one has any ideas? i was searching the web a bit and saw some people with the attrix had a similar problem due to problems with their pds partition.. is it possible one of my partitions is messed and needs fixing?
Perhaps make a NANDROID backup and run the Superwipe utility and flash a super stable ROM? One based on a official non-leaked RUU (Which would mean Gingerbread) and see if the problem persists? (Perhaps just flash a complete stock rooted ROM?)
And don't begin restoring any apps or old data or flash stuff on the "stock" rom, just take it as it is and test out the errors you were having in your "normal" rom.
I'd like to put extra emphasis on "Superwipe" instead of normal wipe in recovery, as Superwipe also wipes certain partitions that a normal wipe doesn't cover I believe.
If the problem persists, then I can only be led to believe it's a HW issue..

[Q] internal storage problem or deepfreeze ?

Hi everyone
I'm facing a very annoying problem. my Atrix show and explain the problem to me even though I telephonist is all programmatically, they said I need to format but I think I have hardware.
When I turn off my phone every December 6 turns. For example, when I delete one to two applications, photograph shoot, when I reboot the phone by the programs have come back, if my photography is gone, WhatsApp My speech is going back to December 6.Connect the phone to the PC in the same way music, rom, etc. when I threw the zip file .. usb disconnect the look of the phone seems to have deleted files, seems to throw more precisely, I cant go to the factory settings, I cant format sd card.Fastboot mode operations such as hard reset formats'm doing. When he opened successfully but says does not change anything from December 6 phone again Cwm in the mount process data, cache, system, Preinstall, gives an error when formatting. Original GB Stock ROM flashing with RSD, but the phone while flashing process is going repositionable 6 december. Most application itself off, the process terminates, etc.. In short, I can not do any operation with built-in storage, screwing with my head.
Restore backup operation did with cm7 but it did not work .. I'm going crazy I stayed at this rate
ClockworkMod Recovery v5.0.2.0
Checking MD5 sums ...
Erasing boot before restore ...
Restoring boot image ...
Restoring system ...
Restoring data ...
Error while formatting / data!

such remains. All unmount / mount have repeatedly tried by .. There's nothing changing.
motorola turkey on the forum topic I said like a friend;
data partition in a way locked there is no problem, linux to interfere with necessary, the easiest services to take, If it fails either of these issues knows linux expert to find, or the phone to open the internal mmc card, remove the atrix in accordance with partitioned, separating reformat back will wear a hardware specialist you need to find. Or one of them will make an application in android professional applications because newly started dating, they needed to find an application that partition control.

My english is not good.. When you translate text in many places i used google translate
I hope you can help me and understand. :silly:
Greetings from Turkey !
That was hard to understand, being a non-native english speaker
Please, after recovery fails to write /data, go to main menu-> advance-> show log. There will be the cause of the error.
Hit the damn thanks button instead!

Tablet stuck on restart loop; can't backup because it's restarting in Recovery Mode

Hello, my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Wifi tablet is stuck on a restart loop. While I've encountered restart loops in the past, and found that resetting to factory settings usually fixes it, this issue in particular has left me speechless.
Firstly, the tablet boots up to the lock screen. I can get through the lockscreen and either sit around on the homescreen or fiddle around with apps - but only for a minute or so, or longer (it's quite unpredictable) because after some arbitrary period of time, the tablet will automatically restart itself. Basically, it automatically restarts itself after booting up to the lock/homescreen.
What I've noticed, as a result of these restarts, is that the tablet doesn't save any settings I've modified prior to the automatic restart. Like, say if I were to remove a widget off my homescreen; after the restart, the widget is still there, having reverted itself back onto my screen. Additionally, things like Wifi and Bluetooth revert themselves back to their original on/off positions after every restart.
Secondly, I can enter recovery mode just fine. HOWEVER ... attempting to backup my device with CWM Recovery causes the tablet to restart itself, cancelling the backup and just flat out screwing me over. The tablet manages to do the following, telling me this: backing up boot image, back up recovery image, back up system, free space, done freeing space. Then after that, it starts backing up other things, but after that, it restarts unpredictably while it's doing so. I haven't tried 'backup to Micro SD ' yet (mostly because I don't have any empty Micro SD Cards) but I'll try that later today - though I doubt that'll work.
Lastly, I've tried just plugging in my tablet to my computer, and dragging and dropping my files onto my desktop, but the tablet doesn't seem to respond to anything. Attempting to copy and paste anything results in an 'Unspecified Error' message on my PC, and the copying process aborts itself.
So with all this said: how the hell do I backup my tablet? I think a factory reset can fix this, but I can't even BACK UP my files because Recovery Mode is seemingly susceptible to this omnipotent restart loop.
Are there any fixes to this, other than a factory reset? I'm on the verge of just saying 'f it' and wipe my tablet anyways, but if my files ... which includes my notes for my classes (-.-) can be saved, I'll try it.
Okay, so I managed to get CWM Recovery to backup my stuff on my external Micro SD Card ....
... but when I try to Wipe Data/Factory Reset it doesn't work ... it doesn't wipe anything. When I reboot, Cyanogenmod is still there, my lockscreen settings are still active, my homescreens are still there - the reset didn't do anything.
How do I wipe my device, now if CWM won't do it? Arrrghhh .... somebody help ;_;
Since I can't move my documents, pictures, music, etc from my internal memory to my PC, I would rather not wipe the device fully.
I think the only way would be to reflash using ODIN. But this will likely lose all data.
Also, I think you need to be in this forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-2/help

Encrypted phone but can't enter pin (no numeric keypad appears)

Hi everyone,
I just encrypted my android phone (Sony Xperia C4, android 5.0, rooted, unlocked bootloader, Xposed framework on there with the privacy app, titanium backup, TWRP, busybox) with a numerical pin. When it finished encrypting, what appeared is a totally white bright screen that asked me "To start Android, enter your PIN" (not the normal background on my locked screen). :good:
The problem is that there's no keypad.
When I click on the back arrow, the screen flashes for a second but nothing else happens. I tried clicking where the numbers should be, but nothing is typed. When I click on "Emergency call," I see a keypad I can use. I actually was able to type my pin there, copy my pin, go back, and paste it in the gray box, so I've gotten that far, but the problem is that there are literally no buttons that allow me to press "enter" in order to decrypt my phone with that correct pin. If you could please help me find a solution, I would really appreciate it.
Okay, starting to find potential reasons for the error from this thread:
https://android.stackexchange.com/q...rypt-without-system-keyboard-on-android#79050
I did delete the built-in keyboard, which I do not use. I'm posting this here for anyone else in the future, who encounters the same problem. I'm reading through to see if there's a fix or if a factory reset is my only option.
Update: I was able to boot into TWRP. My goal is to see if I can decrypt the phone using TWRP's keypad then flash the stock keypad. I'll update soon.
Another Update: I was following this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7yDPszoQ5s) about solving the "Unable to mount /data" problem I was having. Note that in my version of android, only the /data partition is encrypted and not /system or /cache. It was showing up as 0 kb, which makes sense since it's encrypted. Unfortunately, I wasn't focused, so when the poster said to change the file type along with saying "encryption," I absentmindedly followed his instructions and formatted my encrypted data... I know... stupid move, so be warned anyone who is in a similar situation. I then just restored my SD card backup with TWRP, keeping in mind I had backed up my apps and their data with Titanium Backup, too. Yes, I lost some pictures from the past week or so when I did my last backup, but at least I can pretty much get everything else back (contacts, apps, notes, etc.). I'm okay with these little losses as long as I'm learning as I try new things out, which I did accomplish here, albeit by accident.
