[Q] on Phone Frequency

I am currently using a vibrant but I am going back to Hong Kong very soon. I admit I am a Newbie and I don't fully understand the website below.
According to the website below, they said HK is using GSM 900 and 1800, with 3G 2100Mhz. USA is using 850 and 1900, 3G is 2100 Mhz.
http://www.worldtimezone.com/gsm.html
However, the xda wiki said that vibrant also can use frequency GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900. 3G is 1700,1900 and 2100.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Samsung_Galaxy_S_SGH-T959
So can I use the vibrant in Hong Kong? Is it just Edge or I can use 3G?
Maybe this is a dump question. But your help will be very appreciated!!!
Thanks a lot
You should be able to get 3g. But you may need to set the phone ( in the phone code you can go to the menu) to the specific frequency in stead of auto frequency. If you need to do this, look in the sticky in gen section, it has a list of the codes in there somewhere

[Q] Will the Lumia 800 get 3G on at&t if i get a UK or hong kong model??

I understand AT&T 3G bands work 850/1900.
I also read that there are two models of the 800, one without the 850 band and one with.
If someone has a model from hong kong/ UK could you check your box to see what WCDMA bands are listed? I most likely will be getting one from either the said locations
See this thread for answers:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1392464
Quite simple:
If it's a RM-810 NO 850 MHz 3G, if it's a RM-813 it has 850 MHz 3G, but NO 900 MHz 3G.
Jack
Yes i saw that thread but im not sure which country has which model... so if someone has one from hong kong or the UK and could tell me their model number or frequencies that would be great

doubt about 3g frequencies

Hello!
Can somebody explain me why some phones can be flashed in order to change the 3g frequencies? And how can I know if my phone can be flashed to change his band? (I have an LG p705, optimus L7 factory-unlocked, but I bought it in China and I need it working on 850/1900 MHz, in Argentinian frequencies)
I cannot obtain information about it, and it created to me a big confusion. Why if they are hardware capable to use 850/1900 and 900/2100, the firmware locks his bands to only one of them? And how can I know if it is happening in my particular phone and I can use my phone only in 850/1900 Mhz?
Thanks!
Diego

Differences between T-Mobile HTC One and international HTC One

Hi folks! I found brand new T-Mobile HTC One for sale. The guy only wants 600 leva (about 350-400$) or HTC One X + 100 leva (about 70$). I want to know is there a big difference between both international and T-Mobile HTC Ones? I check in T-Mobile site and there it shows that it works on 850/900/1800/1900/2100 MHz but on htc`s site it shows that it works only on 850/1800/1900 MHz. In Bulgaria most common 3G is on 900 MHz. Will there be a big problem with network? And can I flash ROM`s from international forum? What could possibly happen if I flash ROM from there?
P.S. Sorry for my English, it's not my native language as you can see

Aside from the radio difference, the international one is unlocked.

Tmobile has more frequency than the international version. More freq the better.

T-Mobile: Has the Tmobile Radios, not unlocked 32GB
International: Doesn't have Tmobile HSPA+ Radios so you'll need to be in 4g LTE Range to get those speeds, comes unlocked, 64GB
I was also researching between the two. Getting the Dev would have been cheaper and had more space but the radios were the biggest problem for me. I wanted to make sure I had the best possible signal.

Take a look at the specs:
http://www.htc.com/www/smartphones/htc-one/#specs
You don't say if your T-Mobile One is from Europe or the US. The US T-Mobile model does not support 900 HSPA. T-Mobile Europe will support that. The international model has different radios.
For those that replied, the Developer edition is a hardware copy of the US ATT version, which also does not support 900 high speed data.
Here is a copy of the page:
2G/2.5G - GSM/GPRS/EDGE:
850/900/1800/1900 MHz
3G - UMTS/ HSPA:
Europe/ Middle East/ Africa: 900/1900/2100 MHz with HSDPA up to 42 Mbps
Asia: 850/900/1900/2100 MHz with HSDPA up to 42 Mbps
Canada/ Latin America: 850/1900/2100 MHz up to HSDPA 42 Mbps
T-Mobile (US): 850/ AWS/1900/2100 MHz with HSDPA up to 42 Mbps
AT&T: 850/1900/2100 MHz with HSDPA up to 21 Mbps
Sprint: 1900/2100 MHz with HSDPA up to 14.4 Mbps
3G - CDMA:
800/1900 MHz for Sprint
4G - LTE:
Europe/ Middle East/ Africa: 800/1800/2600 MHz
Asia: 1800/2600 MHz
T-Mobile (US)/ AT&T/ Canada/ Latin America: 700 MHz and AWS band
Sprint: 1900 MHz

Yes, I believe that is correct. I was worried because you didn't state it was a European T-Mobile model. T-Mobile is the only one that has both a US and European model - and both are different.
I have an unlocked T-Mobile and use it on ST AT&T. Never seem to need this "missing" 900mHz band. Why would I need it again? I had full service from UT to NV (the desert). 4G most of the way, too.
Genuinely curious as it works perfectly everywhere on AT&T's service.
Isn't 900 being phased out?

[Q] LTE band 3 (1800 mhz)

Hi there- I've moved to a country where the LTE is on band 3, or 1800 mhz. I know that with some phones, firmware updates/flashes enable frequencies not previously available. Is there such a thing for the AT&T HTC One? I thought there might be, given some editions of the One support 1800, so I thought maybe it was a dumb artificial limitation imposed by AT&T.
This country also has a "TD-LTE" freq of 2300, but I'm afraid I'm not sure what that is.
Thanks in advance for any help!
