Charging Problems - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

Help: I recieved my Qtek (XDA) with out the cradle & charger. Being impatient and not waiting for the rest of the package to arrive, I bought a compatible off the shelf charger. The first charge went fine but the next day it stopped charging. When I did finally recieved the original charger, the device still will not charge and eventually the battery was completely drained. There are no official service centers for the XDA. Can anyone help?? PLEASE

1900 mAh battery problems

I bought a 1900 mAh battery from mobilfun.co.uk, appears as an official O2 battery but have had to send 3 back.
The first did not charge at all, either in the cradle or the phone.
The second charged fully in the craddle and lasted 2 hours before going dead. It would not recharge in the craddle or through the usb cable - battery not seen.
The third again seemed to charge OK in the cradle but when put on the phone it immediately caused a hard reset (internal battery at 100%).
The company has changed the battery each time but I'm at a loss to understand why this is happening. Is it a bad batch of batteries or the phone?
There were no instructions with the battery to indicate the need to charge the battery on the phone first instead of the cradle so I used the craddle.
Any adice gratefully appreciated.
Dear,
Can u send me the link? Maybe I can help....
Hi I had the same problem although the last one received is now working. The problem I had with the dud batteries was thta all the settings and data kepr being dumped!
To markspraggins:
so how many times u have changed? is there any problem with the usage time???
The first battery I had was fine. About a month later I bought a battery for another machine and that had to be changed twice. The present battery seems fine - although needs recharging daily

Phone shuts off after WM6 Touch VIII startup!!!

This phone has a bad history since day one that I had to send back top Spain for the warranty to cover replacing the motherboard. Today my day started with WM 6 not loading up and phone shutting off. I downgraded to WM5 to re install WM6 touch VIII. All went well until it reaches the windowns screen and when I click start-settings or anything else it beeps and shuts off. The only way it stays on is when connected to USB or to wall charger. I have 2 batteries that are about 1 yr old. One of which I was using daily heavily. I noticed the other battery which I use less, when connected to wall charger it does not even turn charger light on. I did leave battery aout of phone for at least 4 hours after I had issues getting past the Prophet touch VIII Gullum screen this AM. Now, should I buy another battery and try it or is this the internal battery(is there one) that does not hold charge and needs repairing. Anyone had similar issues. The search function here did not return anything.
Is your battery charged up? I had the same problem when my battery was down to under 25%. Once the battery was charged up the problem went away.
try a new battery start fresh
try a new battery start afresh or use some of your friends whose is only not more than 2 months old ,if battery is the culprit then everything would work fine. these batteries dont last much more than 1 year.
I got it to work!!
I put the battery that works and charged it off the wall charger. I could see the battery scale go from 0% to 100% in a few minutes. Something really weird, I went ahead and ordered another battery on ebay but its coming from Hong Kong so hopefully the remaining battery won't die. I also reinstalled Touch VIII and it works great so far. Thanks for replies.

[Q] Seidio extended battery won't charge

I recently bought a Seidio Innocell 1400 battery for my G1. For some reason, the battery won't charge while it's in the phone.
If I take it out of the phone and charge it in my desk cradle, it works just fine and fully charges in a few hours. It will easily last twice as long as my worn out original OEM battery, as long as I don't connect the phone to a charger.
Here's the weird part. Not only can I not charge the battery while it's in the phone, but it actually drains significantly faster when I connect the charger. Without the charger connected, it will last me all day with moderate use. If the charger is connected when this battery is in the phone, it will drain the battery from a full charge to the point where the phone shuts off in a little more than an hour. I don't know how this is even possible.
My phone works and charges just fine with my OEM battery installed. I've tried several different chargers, which all work when I'm using the oem battery and had the same results, so I know the charger isn't the problem. I had the same problem with the Andida batteries a while back, but figured they were just defective when I saw that everyone else was having problems with them too. Does anyone have any ideas, or did I just get another defective battery?
I have an "Andida" from ebay that does this. I got a partial refund from the seller. I think the overcharge protection circuit is flaky when this happens. Try to get a refund or replacement from the seller.

[Q] About I9300 charging issue.

Hello,
I live in Australia and bought my I9300 from HONG KONG.
I had this charging issue from 2 weeks ago and I've searched many thread about i9300 charging issues.
Today I decide and just sent my s3 to repair shop and I asked them about change of charging port of my s3.
1. Sometimes my s3 charging alright but not fast as before it depends on time like 1% per 4 min or 1% per 9min. Sometimes not charging just discharging while A/C charger connected.
2. The charger as usb line + wall charger works alright without disconnect problem (but charge speed was slow).
3. The charger as like wall charger just line with wall charger not usb. (disconnect if connect wall charger)
I'm really confused this problem was related with hardware or software.
I'm not sure if the charging port replaced will solve the problem.
Please give me opinions.
Thank you for read and sorry for my English.
Regards,
Jin
First try to turn off your device and connect it to the wall charger, the device should start recharge without starting the android os.
second, is the wall adapter getting extremely hot while charging slowly?
third, try to charge with your computer usb port.
fourth, try to find someone with different phone and use his battery for a day. is it the same?
if you know a bit electronics, i suggest you to check your battery voltage using AVO-Meter, if it much lower then it should be (written on the battery itself) it means that somehow your battery reached end-of-life (maybe you bought used one?)
Thanks for reply.
I've already tried my sister's battery, too.
So I know the problem was not related with battery life.
This problem make me headache everyday.. I'm bit worried about phone repair will be completed well because I have to pay money...
PS: I have custom rom foxhound 4.1.2 jellybean ver. and I already downgrade to ICS Omega rom previous time. And this problem first happened when I used ICS Omega Rom.. so confused about hardware or software problem.. I just woke up 2 hours ago and can't go to sleep because very worried about repair phone thing..
if your concern is about software why wouldn't you just flash the phone stock rom? do you have any backup?

[Q] Charging issue

Hi
I've got issues with charging the S3. Hae noticed recently that it may be the charger itself.
Problem is it is charging at a very slow rate, like today, it's been plugged in for close to 12 hours and it's still not fully charged yet.
This is AC charge not via usb. Have used a different charger and it would fully charge in 2 hours flat.
How would I bring this up with warranty in place as it still works so to speak.
