speed dial problem

Hi all on my touch pro when i press and hold down the number 1 for speed dial to my voicemail, it doesnt dial it. it just hangs there as if there is no number for the voicemail. Ive checked the settings and my phone number is there. All other speed dials work fine. I did a hard reset and it worked again, however when i restored a backup to my phone it messed it up again. My only assumption is that one of my registry tweaks messed it up. Does anybody know if there is a registry setting to fix the speed dial so I dont have to rebuild the phone from scratch again with all my settings. thanks so much

[Q] MMI problem?

Hi,
I recently updated my sister's S2 (Virgin Mobile) to ICS using Samsung Kies recently and she notices and showed me this odd problem. It is showing a MMI error if she uses a speed dial and it did not do this prior to the update which had Gingerbread initially.
For instance, if she presses 2 on dial pad, then dial, it gives the error. If she holds 2 on the dial pad, it speeds dial normally.
Is there something which needs to be adjusted to remedy this?
Thanks
Try this
Try removing the speed dial then try to re-add them. I had a friend with this problem and this solved it. I would recommend trying it with one first, though, if it doesn't work for you than that's alot of work for nothing!

[Q] Atrix 4G stops being able to dial or receive calls

I've tried MROM and Topsmarts now with the same results. After some time the phone stops being able to dial out nor does it ring when someone calls, everything else seems to work as I can surf the internet and sms seems to work. I never know when this happens until I try to place a call and it says dialing ....then after about 10sec I get the hangup notification. The Phone is a unlocked and rooted AT&T phone now on the T-Mobile network, anyone else having this issue? The network is set to GSM/WCDMA Preferred and the APN set itself to T-Mobile US "epc.tmobile.com".

[Q] i545 T-Mobile

I got voice, lte, and sms working on my i545 using a new T-Mobile account. I don't have mms or voicemail working. I can live without mms for now but voicemail is important. I tried holding the number 1 key down and that didn't work. In the notification bar I get a message, "New Voicemail Dial *86." That gives me "number not in service..." message. I found the 805-637-7243 number but its not recognizing key presses. I tried T-Mobile's app and it didn't work. I tried YouMail and it didn't work either. Whoda thunk setting up voicemail would be tough? Usually the tough part is getting your voice to sound good.
Can anyone offer any insight?

I understand, its a Verizon phone.
As it turns out the problem is more serious. The phone dialer's dialpad isn't sending the numbers to any phone. For example, when a menu system says press 1 to continue, pressing 1 doesn't do anything.

I solved the keypad problem by replacing the dialer. That allowed me to setup T-Mobile's Visual Voicemail.
I think I solved the mms problem by changing the Mobile virtual network operator type from None to SPN. Then changed the Mobile virtual network value from Verizon to T-Mobile. Then changed the type back to None. Maybe a fluke.
So everything appears to be working but only after I receive a phone call. After a reboot, on the bottom of the lock screen, it says,"No service emergency call." When you pull down the notification bar, it says, "No service" at the bottom of the screen. Outgoing calls work fine. Incoming sms works fine. The 4G LTE icon is active and I get internet service. But mms and sms do not send. When it gets an incoming phone call, the pulled down notification bar changes from No service to T-Mobile and everything works as it should. Calling myself doesn't do the trick, it has to be a different phone. Can anyone diagnose my issue by these symptoms?
The phone is an I545, baseband NC5, towelrooted, T-Mobile sim and service.

Deactivate speed dial

Hi, I was wondering if it's possible to deactivate the speed dial of the stock 4.4.4 dialer, because sometimes I mistakenly call people and it's very annoying. Thanks!
