If the same lines also show in the bootloader mode, it is definitely a hardware problem.
You could try checking the connections between the motherboard and the screen, if you feel up to it. Otherwise, it's time to send it in for repairs.

on the right side of your device is a little hole.
Your stylus has a pointy end.
Put the pointy end of your stylus into the hole, press softly untill you feel a "click".
Behold, the device reboots.
For future references, its called Resetting a device..

Soft SPL is put to MEMORY, it's not FLASHED.
Rebooting the device will clear the memory.
Thus removing the sSPL.
Try pulling your battery for a few minutes.
Then put it back again and boot the device.

Press and hold the top left and right sided buttons (Comm + Talk) and hit the reset switch. The screen should turn black, and a request to do a hard format will appear. Press the call button. That should do it

That is the exact same advice I PM-ed him.
yes done all that nothing yet just some white screen always on can hear background noices of the phone ,the leds working like normal
please help i love my wizard its been 3 days now my coldrx turkey is very hard now
That's odd... if he can hear the phone start menu going on... maybe you can do it again (use sSPL to flash another ROM). Maybe that will work?
Could it have something to do with DROPPING HIS PHONE instead of the sSPL?
Because the sSPL isn't flashed as I said many times before, it is in MEMORY, not flash..
new screen
i put the new screen in same white screen tested the screen in mda(pic inclosed) so nothing to do with screen

could you give us more details?
-device (G3/G4)
-what you did (exactly) before you got this white screen.
It is a 8125 (G4) that is unlocked.
I created a ROM from one of the kitchens, and flashed it ... White Screen.
WOO HOO!!! GOT IT!!!
Steps to recovery:
1. Fully charge your phone (VIA Power Cord ... NOT USB)
2. Get the phone to bootloader (three color mode) - by soft resetting and holding the camera button at the same time
2. Connect it to the computer (Windows XP) with a USB cable
3. You will notice "USB" written in a lower corner of the phone (this means it is connected)
4. Download your providers ROM (The "real" rom provided by Cingular/ATT). You can get the one for the 8125 from HTCAmerica here: http://www.htcamerica.net/support/8125/software-downloads.html
5. Stop ActiveSync (from Task Manager)
6. Run the program downloaded in step 4. This will reflash your phone with the ROM. This seems to be the ONLY WAY possible to reload a ROM from BootLoader.
Enjoy!

[Q] Notification bar wont pull down & buttons go weird

I have searched the forums and not found an answer so I am posting a question.
I flashed Aura ROM and been very happy for a very long time then suddenly the notification bar wont pull down.
The only thing I can think of is that I tried to use the Entertainment Dock and, although the phone went into entertainment mode, the TV remained blank, I unplugged and got on with my life.
I have since tried wipe (data/cache/dalvik), reflash Aura, wipe reflash Aura w/Bl, wipe reflash Home, flash update, flash theme, wipe...
After the above I went to restore a previous backup and got an MD5 Sums Mismatch. I repaired the backup and restored...still the problem persists.
Any ideas would be welcome. I am getting concerned that I have managed to ruin a fantastic phone.
I can confirm that there is no problem with the screen, that portion of the screen responds to swipes across and moves the desktop, just not the notification bar.
The really weird bit is that the buttons stop working, if I run my finger across from one side to the other then the screen responds (my home screen moves around).
If I go into landscape then the pull down works but the buttons are still shot and back to portrait doesn't help.
Standby and back seems to fix it (I do not have to power off).
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Jez
Quick update (problem persists)
I used multitouch tester to see what was happening when I dragged down the notification bar. When functioning correctly it see's one finger as one. When going wrong it sees the finger at the top of the screen as two / three / four separate presses. When I drag the one finger down the extra points stay at the top. I guess this is why the notification bar doesn't go down.

Hardware Fault
I have decided that this is a hardware fault and so I am desperately trying to hide the "unlocked" text and return the device
...or brick it in the process
wish me luck...

Just flash a GB SBF to remove the unlocked and you don't have to worry about bricks as long as you don't attempt to flash a froyo SBF. Don't worry if it doesn't boot after flashing the SBF. Just ssend it in. That's what I did.

I actually did the motorola update from their software update tool. It removed the "unlocked" text, put the T-Mobile startup animation back in and soft bricked it.
I have now sent it off for repair...three weeks

I'd like to know how to bypass activation. So I can return the phone is there are screen defects. Isn't there some developer backdoor to use the phone without activating it or setting it up? Thanks..
Bump For Help
+1
I would like to know also, the standard Android 4 corners etc.. don't work.
Also looking to bypass activation
I'm currently in Alaska, and just received my Verizon S3 pre-order. VZW has yet to enter the Alaska market, so I'm on extended network up here, and I knew in advance that I wouldn't be able to activate the phone until I'm in Seattle in early August.
What I didn't expect was a seemingly bulletproof activation screen. If anyone finds a way past this, it sure would be nice to be able to at least play with this phone on wi-fi until I get to a place with coverage.
Thanks!
I don't know if this method will work specifically for your phone but it did with my HTC Incredible on vzw's network.
1. Go through the initial setup stuff and when it gets to the activate your phone click OK.
2. The phone places a call to activate your phone. When the phone connects, hang up on the call.
3. The phone goes back to the activate your phone screen and click OK again.
4. When the phone connects, hang up again.
5. I repeated steps 3 and 4 a couple times and my phone gave up on trying to activate my phone and went to the next prompt screen.
Have you tried the four corners method?

Thanks, but no luck. The S3's activation is different from any I've seen before. The dialing is all done in the background, and there is no hang-up button. After it places 3 or 4 calls that don't go through, it pops up a message that says it can't activate and offers to restart the phone to try again.
There's no welcome screen to try the 4 corners, and the Konami-esque volume code doesn't work either. ## Codes entered from the emergency dial haven't done anything.
Hey guys,
It’s the same thing as the Galaxy Tab 10.1
On the Language screen (right on the first language) tap top left corner, then top right corner,(above the emergency call and next) then bottom left corner, then bottom right corner, then volume up.

[Q] My screen in unresponsive

Dear all,
My Xperia phone is really nice and I have been using it for quite a while. However, something happened to my phone about 3 weeks ago. The right side and bottom of my screen has become totally unresponsive and since then, I really had trouble typing letters like 'p', 'l' and 'm', and also pressing space bar and enter. The bottom of my screen is occassionally okay, and I will sometimes be able to type space bar, comma and fullstop as per normal, but it is only sometimes. I have been putting up with it by tilting my phone whenever I type, but recently, I accidentally set a screen lock(password) and since the 'Done' button was at the bottom right of my phone, I am totally unable to press it at all. I tried tilting it, but it seem that the screen would not orientate at all, not before unlocking it. I used the Xperia phone companion on computer to factory reset my phone. Just as I thought that the problem was over, Xperia guide comes up and prevents me from using my phone. Since the 'next' button is located at the bottom right of my screen again, I am unable to press it at all. I tried tilting but it does not work at all and it seems impossible for me to use my phone now. Can someone please help me? Thanks in advance.
Its probably a hardware problem you must change the touchscreen by yourself or bring it so service center

[PROBLEM] Can't access to fastboot menu.

Hi there!
I had the following situation:
My watch first ran out of battery.
Then I waited a long time for a new one to come.
I changed the battery and tried to install firmware via fastboot. Honestly, I don’t remember exactly how it all ended. But it didn’t work out.
And now (after a few months) I decided to try again to solve the problem, but my fastboot menu does not open at all.
As a result, I have a bootloop with 4 icons and that's it.
Can you please advise a solution?
Please, help... Anyone.
I didn't find solution yet....
How to enter fastboot
Keep the power button pressed at the bottom of the watch above the pogo pins. The moment it restarts and shows the LG logo. keep swiping swipe from the top left corner diagonally towards bottom right. Also, the first boot takes a really long time so be wary of that.
