Hi,
For all of you who doesn't like the gray color or are tired of the same old touch look, I made a new dialer skin. If you have PDVIET 4.0.0.0.6 or you have installed touch style dial pad, all you have to do is to copy these files to your windows and soft reset. I don't have time to make a proper cab file, but feel free to make a cab file out of these and share it with us
oh by the way the dialer skin is only for portrait mode, later on I will make a landscape too.
I also installed the transparent home plug in icons, I uploaded them before, but I'm gonna upload them along my other files.all you have to do is copy all the .png files to your windows folder and soft reset.
I hope you like it
Nice. I've build cabs...
Hello,
is it possible to customize our own landscape and portrait background picture ?
regards,
(if so please specify which folder in the /windows)

haha well i though this skin is so brilliant that nobody wants to go back to the original one lol..
all you have to do is overwrite the attached images to your windows folder
If you want your home pluging Icons back, sorry i don't have them , you have to hard reset.
It is nice , but I found it too bright
it is not easy to see in the sunlight, may be with another text colour will be nicer
thanks for help
its nice, but if im gonna change the background picture im gonna have to change the buttons too, maybe you should remodel the dialer in a way that the background of the numbers is transparent ?

If you look closely at the buttons that i posted , they are transparent (look at the numbers) the thing is that i haven't found a dialer dll that supports transparent images. If you found a dialer that you could simply change the background image, let me know
did u take a look at this thread ?

Photoshop Files
Okay, I promised that I'm gonna make a dialer skin so that everybody can change it just by changing one background image! well i tried and I didn't succeed. but for those of you who know Adobe Photoshop, I attached the psd file so you can use it to make your own dialer. all you have to do is to change the background layer and save your file as a png file. If you don't know Photoshop just don't bother, I really can't explain further. also you have to overwrite the button images with the images in the zip file. If you know Photoshop and you want to make a dialer for yourself, look at my psd file, trust me it will help feel free to share your creative dialer skins with us

Touch and touchlike dialers
Guys, hdialerere is my 2 cents about the touch (and derived) dialers
Positive: nice big buttons
Negative:
1) The photo is awfully small, even smaller than in the standard wm6 dialer
2) 2 buttons are missing: speed dial and history. You have to open these functions with options. not funny
3) There is still some space left on top that can be used.
I hope that someone can make a dialer with these buttons and with a bigger photo. Thx.

Thank you hma4! Excellent work all around. Question: I run linux and have access to GIMP which can do many of the things Photoshop can...is the layer method supported in GIMP as well? I'm wondering if there is a step by step tutorial on the net somewhere and willing to google for it...always willing to learn something new although I am in no way or shape an artist.

GIMP opens psd files and also supports layers. for tutorial for GIMP you can visit here: http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/
here is what you can do, try to open the .psd file that I uploaded couple of posts above, then if you could see my file in different layers then you can work your way from there. you have to make 3 .png files, namely:
Progress_BkgdP.png
Dialer_BkgdP.png
indialer_ps.png
all you have to do is look at those layers, one of them is the background image, try to change that to what ever you like, another layer is the button masks so you have to overlap that on your background, and finally save the file in .png format with the names that I mentioned.
I really can't write a thorough tutorial for this, I think if you spend a little time you can figure it out all by yourself.
Good luck don't forget to share your creative work with us
Hey guys!
So I got bettercut, because I want to give my programs a custom Icon.
Say I want to change astro's icon, however I can only edit the standard programs within bettercut like mail and google maps etc.
Please help! Thnx
Hello everyone,
I can see many custom icon sets out here, but after some downloads, I realised I would like to create my own icon set, to satisfy my creative needs
The question is: Is there somewhere any kind of application (on PC or PPC) that enables you to replace stock icons on their respected locatons
I'll make myself more clear... Let's say I would like to change my Start menu icons (folders, apps,...) I do know that you can do this with some apps already available on the WM 6.5 platform, but only individually. What I'm searching for, is an app that manages to replace the icons with my own, importing (replacing) them on their locations (for example it will find the icon "Comm Manager" under Start Menu>Settings>Connections>Comm Manager.lnk) In this approach you could make one personalized icon set and use it repeatedly even after a new ROM arrives all in one sweep.
I understand that all aplications are packed in .cab files. So perhaps there is one desktop app, that manages to link my .png/.ico files to the appropriate files, converts that to a .cab and after copying to the storage, that cab after execution would replace/overwrite all the icons.
Hope it's understandable. Sorry, english is not my native language.
If this was asked/commented before, I apologise for bringing that up again...
See you all
there is nothing to do exactly what you want.
however, if you use jwmd and change them 1 by 1, you can save as a "theme" and then import it after you flash a new rom and get the same icons back.

Hi,
There are some themes I love and I would like to use, but some details doesn't seem good to me, such as shortcuts. Is there any way to modify those shortcuts in order to make mine, but keep using the particular theme ? I didn't find anything about this...
Thanks for your help

Hi,
Editing a theme is easy - simply long press on the homescreen - select Advanced - Unlock Widgets. Now you can add/remove widgets and shortcuts till your hearts content. Then when you are satisfied with your theme repeat the process to lock the items into place

Awesome, thanks ! I was looking for this during hours... Didn't find anything on the Themer website :/
Another question, I have sometimes a pop-up with "crash data failed to send, retry later", but I can't find where to send it, and the pop-up doesn't disappear... I have to uninstall-reinstall the app in order to fix that... I have a One Plus One on CyanogenMod 11 38R
Semi related question, is there anywhere I can download images of the standard icons you use for smart categories? I like a lot of themes but would like to change the categories on them and to do that need the images to match the theme.
Thanks

Thanks for the info
Hi,
I recently tried Themer App and it is a great tool to individualize your smartphone. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S5. However, when I try to integrated new fonts, creating fonts/ folder and put all files there and choose them in the themer font menu they won't work. Especially fonts with icons, because I wanted to use LinkedIN, Xing, Facebook and Twitter as font-icon. Anyone any idea what is my mistake? I now used some neus icons, but they should just be a temporary solution.
Thanks,
GermanOne

Thanks Marco. It still does not work. If I try to install e.g. Awesome-Fonts it is shown in the menu but the icons are not displayed fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/. Do I miss anything?

Are you able to convert the font package into an .otf or .ttf file? Currently those are the only file types we support. I remember someone a few months ago trying to use Awesome-Fonts with the same error. Hopefully in the future we'll be able to use it though. Sorry about that!
They are already OTF and TFF files. I assume as a result they are available in the menu when choosing a font. However, when you choose e.g. Font Awesome fonts, the icons are not available/published and its basically Arial-Font. Any chance to get some icons?

Ah, we have it!
After doing some searching we found that Sebastian had the answer. He actually helps out in the Zooper section from time to time (kwerdenker). Here is his way of getting Awesome-Fonts to work: https://plus.googleapis.com/+SebastianSpindler/posts/TQyVKU4JZGf
Hope this helps!
Hi Marco,
Thanks for your help. Have you tried it? It does not work when I copy a glyph from the cheatsheet it is still not displayed. Do you have any contact details from Sebastian?
Thanks in advance and best,

No worries, it might be due to a new version of Awesome-Fonts. I've spoken to Sebastian, and hopefully he gets back to me soon. Else you're welcome to contact him via the Google+ link I sent.

Here's what he said a few minutes ago:
"The process for Font Awesome still works for me. Opened the cheat sheet http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/cheatsheet/ in Chrome on my device, marked and copied the glyph, added a text module to a Zooper widget, selected FontAwesome as the font, then pasted the glyph into the text editor and it showed up."
Wooohoooo! It worked. Missed that you have to set FontAwesome as Font. Thank you!
