Hello All,
I recently upgraded my Qtek ROM to v4.00.05. Once I activate my GPRS connection, to access the web and download email, the connection does not close automatically once I have, for example, completed an email download. I have to turn the phone off, then turn it on.
Is there a way to solve this?
Please advice.
Juan
Press and hold the end call key (red phone) for a few seconds to end your GPRS connection.

Originally (prior to upgrading to Mobile 2003) my T-Mobile PDA had an option under the antenna icon to disconnect my GPRS internet session. Since upgrading to Mobile 2003, when I need to disconnect from GPRS internet I have to choose the "Turn Phone Off" option since disconnect is no longer an option. Has anyone else run into this? Is there another way to disconnect from GPRS?
Try holding down the red (end call) button for two seconds. It works for me. It disconnects from GPRS without turning the radio off.
and if u press it again for 5 seconds, it turn off the cell function all together! untill u press the red again
great for meetings or movies

First turn on the WiFi, get it connected to an Access Point. Next start Windows Life Messager, it will turn on GPRS, while it is connecting to GPRS, select Cancel, Windows Life Message will continue and loggon with the WiFi connection.
I rather it does that instead of telling me that it couldn't find internect connection and stuck.
My Xperia Mini Pro, either because of the phone itself or my provider, keeps dropping off on EDGE connectivity. I mean it goes off, comes back on but after that my gmail, gtalk, browser and a few other apps wouldn't connect to the net. Though a connection reset solves this problem, it comes up within a minute or 2.
I was wondering if there is an app that can automatically check for connection state every x hrs/mins and if there is no connection, then automatically restart the data connections. Would appreciate any help in this regard.
Thanks in Advance!
This seems like it should be a base feature, but I can't find it anywhere.
Whenever someone connects to wifi the system stores that connection and their password indefinitely.
Even if you try to make the wifi settings forget that particular network while you're on it, it disconnects from it.
Is somehow caching and automatically re-connecting upon any disconnect to the nearest and best wifi network an auto-feature in android?
I would like it so it's simple.. you can connect to a wifi network but the system does not remember the password at all, if you're disconnected you stay disconnected until you manually reconnect.
What am I looking for?
Thanks
Hi
i have a problem with wifi. it remains connected but loses internet access randomly. i found this solution:
"In the wifi networks, select the network you want and select ‘Forget network’
Turn off the wifi
kill all the apps with your task manager
Turn on the wifi again
Connect to the network
Check the internet connectivity
If still the problem exist, switch off the phone and redo the above steps"
it solves the problem, but it happens again after some minutes. actually, i also installed an app named "wifi fixer" which does the above process automatically. when the program is active, it turns the wifi off and on every 2-3 minutes. and the phone has internet access when the program tuns the wifi on.
does anyone know what is the reason of this problem and how to fix it?
thanks in advance
pls i really need help over here
