Originally (prior to upgrading to Mobile 2003) my T-Mobile PDA had an option under the antenna icon to disconnect my GPRS internet session. Since upgrading to Mobile 2003, when I need to disconnect from GPRS internet I have to choose the "Turn Phone Off" option since disconnect is no longer an option. Has anyone else run into this? Is there another way to disconnect from GPRS?
Try holding down the red (end call) button for two seconds. It works for me. It disconnects from GPRS without turning the radio off.
and if u press it again for 5 seconds, it turn off the cell function all together! untill u press the red again
great for meetings or movies
how2?

Thanks I've been looking for a fix for the disconnect gprs problem.
just hold the end call button for 3 seconds and GPRS will be disconnected

on 2003SE there should be a disconnect button in the notification bubble once you click on the GPRS icon in the start bar?!?!
There is for me on my 2i, anyway.

anyone got any solution, it can drop after 10 secs, and im sitting right in front of the router.....
Possible fix:
Had the same problem - the wifi never stayed connected.
I've followed this procedure with the wife's Iphone and my X10 and it seems to work - dunno why, but it does.
BTW I have a Netgear Router.
1.) on the X10, Forget any connections you have set up with your router (Hold on the connection then select Forget)
2) Turn off WiFi (Tap WiFi)
3) Access your router and enter the Wireless section (see your manual - it varies Router to router)
4) Turn off any security you have set up on your router. You may need to APPLY the change and then RESCAN the router to actually transmit it. If you connect to the router via WiFi you may need to re-connect your computer to continue.
5) Back on the X10, turn the wiFi back on wait a minute
6) Refresh the network list (Menu button > rescan)
7) Select your Network name and connect (hold on the Network name, then select Connect)
8) The X10 should now connect to your unsecured network.
9) Back to the Router and re-enable the Network Security (APPLY and RESCAN if necessary). Again you may be disconnected if you use WiFi for your PC, so re-connect.
10) Back on the X10 and you are disconnected again. The X10 may be displaying a Password requirement, if not then Tap on your Network and select connect - it'll appear.
11) Enter your Password, and you should be connected.
Hopefully - with luck and a following wind, you are connected and it won't lose it again....
Good Luck!

Go to WiFi settings. Tap and hold on the network you are connected. Select DELETE. Turn Off WiFi. Restart your phone, turn on WiFi and select your network.
Hope this helps.
Connected to home network, I keep the wifi on my S3 on all the time and it seems to be connected (from the icon in the top bar) but there is no data connectivity.
I have to manually switch wifi off then back on for the internet connection to start working again. This is the case after waking the phone up, and also just when the wifi has been on for longer than a few minutes even when the phone is in use.
Keep Wifi on during sleep is set to ALWAYS.
Does anyone know if this is a common s3 problem or is it specific to my device, and are there any fixes?
Thank you.
