Please can anyone tell me if there's a way to save/export SMS messages to a notebook/desktop computer.
PLEASE HELP
Sorry cant help you there m8
But I've found it damn annoying that activestink cant syncronize your sms messages the same way it does for your mails...
I doubt it would have been too hard to include a plugin which acted like the notes in outlook that archived your sms messages...
Microsoft cutting corners again I wonder?
Does anyone have any cool sms utils for their PE edition phone? I've seen some around but never tried them because the XDA already has that feature... just wondering if they were any decent

Yorch has a utility to export the sms messages but not sure that you can read them on desktop, I think it's just a import/export tool. Check on yorch.net.

In my XDA with AT&T latest ROM, I can't receive any vCard by sms! I've tried sending them from my Nokia 6310i both in single phone number and full details mode. The Nokia phone says the vCard has been sent but I don't get anything in the XDA. Sending vCards by sms to other phones obvioulsy works.
Is it just me? Is it a bug or is it a 'feature'?
thanx
PS: do you know of any XDA proggie that will receive/send vCards?
Yeah, me too. I think it must be the setting problem.
However, I don't think anyone can answer me in HK cause I am using WM2003 with ExWAP v2 (downloaded from Yoret.net).
The setting I can see from the official CSL website couldn't tell me how to set it up with my xda1.
cant claim i know what vcard really mean but google give some hits when you search on vcard pocketpc
http://www.google.dk/search?hl=da&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=vCard+pocketpc&btnG=Google-søgning
I have never tried sending/receiving Vcards via SMS, but I have sent & received via IR.
PPC 2003 allows you to receive vCards into contacts and Calendar...however not via SMS indiginously. You need a 3rd party application to do that. If you do a search for "SMS" at either http://www.pocketgear.com or http://www.handango.com you will find the app I'm talking about. Cant remember what its called though, easy to find click through all the pages.
Thanks for your answers. All soft I have found just manages the vCards stored in the PocketPC. Some let you even send them through email. But I have not found any program that emulates Nokia phone's capabilities of receiving an specially crafted SMS with the vCard inside.
I find interesting is the fact that when you send an sms with an vCard inside from a Nokia phone to another phone (without vCard funcionality), it displays the message in raw format:
BEGIN:VCARD
VERSION:2.1
N:John
TEL;WORK;VOICE:5551234567
END:VCARD
However, my XDA I (WindowsCE 2003) silently ignores such sms while it's happy to receive regular ones!!!
This vCard through SMS capability is probably Nokia-specific... it would ne nice if some one implemented it for PocketPC devices. I'm sure there's a market for it!

You can use Jeyo mobile companion, it´s definitly a MUST HAVE if you own a pocket pc phone edition
It imports and exports, sms, sent, received, outbox, etc, save call history, missed, incoming, etc save contacts, a real alternative to outlook, manage sim card and more.
It rocks!
Sms to desktop PC
You can export all of your messages (sms, mms, e-mail) with allexport.exe. And you are able to move the exported .txt files anywhere (desktop pc too) with your activesync (explore function).
You can set the autoexport function too: automatic export on every incoming messages.
It's FREEWARE!!!
You can download this program from:
xpocketpc.fw.hu
And you can find more informacion about it:

Hi Guys!
I searched the web now for several days now but there seems no software out there for windows mobile that can find and delete duplicated SMS (inbox and sent). There is similar software out there but the tools seems to take care for duplicated contacts and appointments only....
Right now Im having about 30.000 SMS messed up the speed of my Blackstone so I would be really thankful if someone knows such a tool or at least can program a simple proggy like outlook cleaner but for messages.
Thanks,
Cpt-Future
I have a Samsung Galaxy Prevail the model number is SPH-M820-BST and I am having some serious problems with my phones ability to copy SMS text messages to my computer or send them to my e-mail. I am having some problems with my land lord and I am trying to get a record of the text messages that she sent me but they are not copying properly, all of the messages copy except for a couple of really long important ones that she sent.
These are the programs that I have tried so far, SMS to text, Super Backup, SMS Backup+ (e-mailed to my gmail), SMS backup & restore. All of these programs have the exact same problem where they copy most of my texts except for a couple of the same really long ones that she sent. One thing I noticed is that for some reason my text messages are usually limited to 200 max per contact but for her its now at 207.
These text messages are really important for me to get my security deposit back and chances are I'm going to have to use them in small claims. I've tried everything to no avail, maybe I should use screen capture software? Or maybe even put my phone into a photo copy machine?
Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.
Does anyone know of any screen capture software I could use?
I've been searching forever for an app that will handle Vcards sent to my S3 via a Blackberry or iPhone. The MMS comes in blank on my text app (8ms messsaging) or even stock messaging app, but there's no way to view the vcard attachment.
Enter "Save MMS Attachemtns" app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobappli.savemms
Opening it brings up a list of all of your MMS messages within your text threads. The interface isn't very advanced and I haven't played with it enough to be able to select just one MMS, but regardless...clicking save will export all MMS to a folder on your phone entitled "SaveMMS"
From there, you'll need to delete the extra extension text after ".vcf"
Now click on it to open with your vcard handler app. I use DW Dialer as it's way better than stock Google dialer. It takes 8 seconds to respond after clicking, but it will import to your contacts.
This is far from an elegant fix, but if you receive vcards for work like me, you need something that will work, no matter how involved.
If anyone has a better way, let us know but a big thanks to the dev for writing this.
I've created app that handles vCards and it is capable of importing vCards from MMS. It's not free but I hope it's worth the price. Search for bizCard Manager.
Let me know what do you think.
