Hi Guys
I got my XDA this morning, so forgive if this has already been asked before, I have searched but not found my answer.
I have a O2 XDA Unlocked. I receive an SMS and I get to see the contacts name. So its not that problem. However, when I choose reply, type my reply it complains and says:
No matching entry was found for "Contacts Name" <+44xxxxxxxxx> Would you like to continue.
Choosing No drops you back to the message and choose yes opens another window saying to change the the type from SMS to an email.
For each SMS I reply to I have to manually remove the "Contact Name" and the < >'s and then it will send without a problem.
Hope you wonderfull people can help me here.
If I'm not mistaken that problem was fixed/corrected in ROM Upgrade v3.17.03.
So you might think about updating your ROM for more info. visit:

Does anyone know if MMS Composer will work on an XDA? If so, is there somewhere I can acquire it? I have tried EZWAP, and hate it.
Thanks in advance.
Yes it works for me on XDA I with WM2003 and you can find it here

Did you succeed in getting this done? Searched every single post for an answer, nothing. At least nothing for Windows Mobile 6.1 on my HTC Touch Pro.
Cheers
Hi mates,
I've seen a conversation about this subject on a thread some time ago.
Here is the link of that thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=449283&page=9
The conversation begins on page 7 and 8 but the answer and a link to another thread about icons is on the page 9. That link is here:

Give a try to look there..

Again, thank you
One more question though (since you're online), when i am doing changes on manilla files and those shell DLLs and so on, am i playing with the original ROM?
In other words, i want to play with my mobile as i wish, but when i choose to do factory defaults, i want it all to be gone and do things from scratch, is that too late for me? Am i already playing with the factory ROM?
Cheers Kardash
I don't know what you do exactly but if you use and run some applications like rom upgrade utility (RUU) probably u are changing or already have changed the original one.
Don't be concern with it, no problem i think, there are so many modified WM6/6.1roms here and there is also official WM5 rom you can easily find.
Kardash (kardeş) means "brother" in Turkish, did you mean this? if so, how do you now?
Regards,

Thanks for your reply, as for the ROM, well, i did not run any utilities, but i am overwriting manila files and dlls, and when i do so, i get a message from Resco Exporer telling me that i am modifying the ROM, so that freaked me out, i do not wanna loose the official rom on my HTC Touch Pro. As for Kardash (Kardeş), well, i once visited turkey, it was lovely, and i learnt this word there Then when i saw that ur from Turkey
Cheers
After a longer time of using Athena Project Black Dual by PK 3.0 (SPL 1.2), I decided to flash the one of SPL 1.2 ROMs from MichyPrima's ROM studio, v2.04DL,
based on WM 6.1 ROM.
I use my Ameo on daily basis as a message client. The first thing I tried after flashed a new ROM was how e-mail works. Works as I expected, but with a strange message flaw, which is very unconfortable I beleive not just for me.
Default message setting was: Keep copies of sent items in Sent Items folder, but there is no copies retained in Sent Items folder, no matter if I check or uncheck
the checkfield.
Just from curiosity, I have installed the last MiChY's SPL 1.2 ROM, v2.14DL from 08/13/08, and the same problem exist in that ROM version.
Users feedback:
- pdajoy confirmed presence of mentioned message flaw also in original HTC WM 6.1 ROM, at post #664, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2584476&posted=1#post2584476
- lennie confuted presence of the same message flow at post #668, same link.
- MiChY confirmed presence of the same message flaw in his ROMs at post #679, same link.
I appreciate if anyone using any WM 6.1 ROM may check presence of mentioned
e-mail message flaw (no copies in Sent Items folder) and leave feedback here.
Special appreciate to anyone who may solve this flaw.
Thank you very much in advance.
Regards,
MDA3__CRO
Same problem in Sogarth base ROM
Works for me on Michy2.04d
Sorry to disappoint you but I have copies of my emails in the sent folder as intended

Very interesting, indeed. Until now we have two persons who don't have email message flaw, and four persons who have mentioned message flaw, one of them is MiChy themselves.
If you may upload _your_ ROM files on any Public Upload Service, I am ready to reflash again, to see if there is some difference between our ROM files. I suppose you are using SPL 1.2?
Anyhow, very thanks to you and to anyone who leave feedback here.

I am uploading the nbh now but it will take a while.
I have flashed most of the roms available on this forum including flashing between spl versions and back again and seen most problems(and resolved them)
i even lost my radio and had the bootloader error.
But I have never had your issue

Thank you for Upload, please, when you finish it, leave a link here.
Yes, I also went through simmilar problems, but message flaw I described and confirmed by four persons is the first flaw of that kind. It is very unconfortable, because I suppose we all need copies of sent relevant mails.
Later at evening I will reflash Ameo again, and will post feedback here.
Irus' ROM (I'm using his latest) does not have this issue. When I send out my emails, a copy is kept in the sent folder.

This is the last flaw...but i'll try to solve it as i can...

ljw666, thank you for your report. MiChy reports the same flaw in a new ROM build, copies retain in Sent Items folder just for a few seconds... do you made any additional settings on your email account or maybe in registry?
I have tried 4 different ROMs, the only one which is without strange message flaw is AP 3 Dual. Now I am going to try Irus' latest ROM (if it is for SPL 1.2) which is also reported without message flaw...
Thanks again to all who participate this thread.

I am very sorry for that, but this is not your fault. If you find a spare time, would you please check some registry settings. There are a few users of your ROMs, who have not a strange message flaw. Maybe their registry settings may help to solve that problem?
Just to register my confirmation again.
Still having AP Dual 3.0 and no message retained in sent folder after email out.
NOTE: Keep copies of sent items in Sent folder - TICKED in option/message menu.
Well, am getting a little confusing over this. Hope some power guru can brighten up this. Thank you.
Irus' ROM for SPL 1.2 0MB pagepool (no loop)
I am glad to report that Irus' ROM for SPL 1.2 0MB pagepool (no loop), have no strange message flaw (no copies retained in Sent Items folder).
About ROM:
Windows Mobile(R) 6.1 Professional
CE OS 5.2.0 (Build 19588.1.1.4)
Device Information:
ROM version: Athena_6.1
ROM date: 10/09/07
etc.
E-mail messaging works flawless, copies retain in Sent Items folder.
I will need a few days playing with it, to see if it suit my needs.
Seems to be a Irus' good job with a core ROM without message flaw.
I am unable to send sms..when I am going to the setting to add the service centre number it is not saving...and automatic settings are also not working it is always saying try after some time...But I can recieve sms messages...
Please help...
Buddy, you need to be more specific. What ROM? What Radio? Your question as it is is telling us that you have a touch pro....nothing else.
Thanks, I am currently using Cracings WM6.5 6.0.0.4 with radio 1.14.25.35....I had checked yesterday by changing rom and radio but the problem is still same...Is this problem belongs to WM6.5...is there any patch or something...I am unable to save service centre number manually...

Hummm... It sound strange to me... But... Why do you want to enter your service center number manually?
Wouldn't it be easier to just use Network Wizard to auto-detect your carrier and auto-configure everything that needs to be configured?
I know this is not a direct solution to your problem. It is a workaround though...
Cheers and good luck
sorry if I can't be of more help...
Thanks buddy.....But my network is not supporting automatic settings for HTC....I am still in trouble

If you follow the instructions carefully, it should work though. Nope, i'm not a slim user. Just helping out when i can. On AOSP based ROMs, that's the method to change your SMSC number.
