I've tried your mention in 1st link & enter the PDU format of my carrier (Indosat - Indonesia) reboot & wait for about 10 mints..test to send a SMS.. it says fail.. but there's a worth step forward from before that my phone signal doesn't lost at all while SMS send progress..
're u a Krarvind Slim user too? What do u think about why Krarvind didn't included the phone settings under Setting in order to use feature manually edit SMSC Number? Isn't it make an easier??
Thanks r4z0r...& please write this post at his thread..

If you follow the instructions carefully, it should work though. Nope, i'm not a slim user. Just helping out when i can. On AOSP based ROMs, that's the method to change your SMSC number.

SMS Reply Problem with O2 XDA

Hi Guys
I got my XDA this morning, so forgive if this has already been asked before, I have searched but not found my answer.
I have a O2 XDA Unlocked. I receive an SMS and I get to see the contacts name. So its not that problem. However, when I choose reply, type my reply it complains and says:
No matching entry was found for "Contacts Name" <+44xxxxxxxxx> Would you like to continue.
Choosing No drops you back to the message and choose yes opens another window saying to change the the type from SMS to an email.
For each SMS I reply to I have to manually remove the "Contact Name" and the < >'s and then it will send without a problem.
Hope you wonderfull people can help me here.
If I'm not mistaken that problem was fixed/corrected in ROM Upgrade v3.17.03.
So you might think about updating your ROM for more info. visit:

I am unable to send sms..when I am going to the setting to add the service centre number it is not saving...and automatic settings are also not working it is always saying try after some time...But I can recieve sms messages...
Please help...
Buddy, you need to be more specific. What ROM? What Radio? Your question as it is is telling us that you have a touch pro....nothing else.
Thanks, I am currently using Cracings WM6.5 6.0.0.4 with radio 1.14.25.35....I had checked yesterday by changing rom and radio but the problem is still same...Is this problem belongs to WM6.5...is there any patch or something...I am unable to save service centre number manually...

Hummm... It sound strange to me... But... Why do you want to enter your service center number manually?
Wouldn't it be easier to just use Network Wizard to auto-detect your carrier and auto-configure everything that needs to be configured?
I know this is not a direct solution to your problem. It is a workaround though...
Cheers and good luck
sorry if I can't be of more help...

[Q] HELP NEEDED! Cannot Send SMS, Error Synchronizing

Hello.
I just got a TG01, I am using it in Digi network at Malaysia.
There is a problem with SMS: I can't send SMS message, but I can receive SMS... MMS is working just fine.
Whenever i send SMS, the SMS will stay in Outbox while sending and then pop out the message say " Your message cannot be send", after clicking that "Error Synchronizing" will appear at the bottom.
Anyone have any idea for that or solution before?! Thank you.

What ROM did you use?
If you use a custom ROM then disable HTC Messaging because is not working with TG01.

I suppose not!
Because original ROM is not using HTC communication manager!
My solution is only for custom ROM build around HTC Sense software!
But it must be an official solution for you also.

Call to the Carrier help line and ask for SMS server number. Check if in your settings is the same number!

i checked the "Text Messages Service Centre" number in my phone setting, it is just the same number "+60162999902" with the Carrier website FAQ link.
Do you think i need to upgrade original ROM from toshiba website?! Or just need to edit registry to solve this problem?

If I were you I update with an Custom ROM made by one of the developers from this forum.
From my experience any custom ROM is faster and more reliable than original ROM made by Toshiba.
I recommend a Miro 8 custom ROM because is stable an has everything in it.
(In Miro 8 you can disable HTC SMS software)
Check the time on your clock is correct. (or select automatic time).
Hi, i have solved the probloem by updating the ROM from toshiba website. thanks for all of your help!!!
To be fair, you made out that you were already on the original ROM... so we discounted that. Glad you got it solved.

[Q] Fimrware I9300XXDLJ1 (malaysia) sms not working

hi..
Guys..
just for sharing, there is any news for update firmware I9300XXDLJ1 (malaysia).I've found most of this version facing trouble with sms.Not working at all even to open the app.some of user FC and turned black when touch the sms icon..
I hope can get new firmware update A.S.A.P.
Try to clear the cache and data of the messaging app. Otherwise, use titanium backup to clear all messaging data. If that fails, do a factory reset.
I'm using the same Malaysian rom as well and there are no force closes in the messaging app.

Weird. I'm on DLJ1 as well but no trouble with sms app. Phone app takes quite long to load sometimes. Did you do an ota update? Maybe you could try a clean install of the stock rom if nothing else works.

The numeric is your apns MCC+MNC.
For example my carriers mcc is 310 and the mnc is 004. So my build.prop numeric should be 310004.
---------- Post added at 01:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:25 PM ----------
Also have you tried opening the voice dialer app, say "open apns" and then adding your apn. Make sure to name it, hit save and highlight the little circle out to the side to select that apn.
where do I edit this?

The easiest way is the use ES File Explorer (or other file manager). Make sure to turn on Root Explorer, Up to Root, and Mount File System in the settings.
Then browse the the /system and you should see a file called build.prop. Make sure to back up this file (copy and put on your computer). Open the build.prop on your phone and find the line that looks similar to this "ro.cdma.home.operator.number=" there will be a number after the = sign. See if it matches the number from your apn. If not then change it to your numeric and hit save.
---------- Post added at 02:37 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:30 PM ----------
You may need to restart your phone. Then try mms. If it doesn't work then add you apn manually using the voice dialer method.

Look up MetroPCS's apns (google is your friend) and see if the apn matches the apn found in /etc. Again you'll have to turn on root explorer and mount file system.
Send me a link to the rom you're using and I can see if the apns match MetroPCS for you.

Try adding your apn using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2053705 (take a look at the backup file that you had from stock) and see if that will get it to work on the CM10 rom you're on right now.
Send me the link to the rom you want to try and I can see if I can edit it before you flash it. I assume you just flash a new rom and gapps through CWM or TWRP recovery?

OK try this. I edited that build for metrics. Just flash it + gapps. https://www.box.com/shared/4q62y4p842xz1rihx5x4
Make a backup first!

Hmm if you want just take a look at your stock mms apn or send it too me and I can add that to the rom before you flash it.. Maybe I didn't quite have the correct settings for MetroPCS mms apn.
So can you not just use the Voice Dialer app to open apns?
You're welcome on the rom mod for Metro, it's always nice when it shows your carrier instead of Verizon

I'm not sure why the modified mms.apk is needed. Someone has apparently made some edits to the mms.apk to get it to work with MetroPCS. You'd probably have the best luck posting which edits were made to the mms.apk. You could try taking a look at the base mms.apk and then looking at the edited mms.apk to see what was changed.
I assume it would work with other roms as long as they are based on the same source (i.e. JB). You can always try it and if it doesn't work then go about getting a newer modified mms.apk file for the version of android you are flashing.
