T-mobile vs Siemens SX56 - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

What is the difference other than software between the T-mobile Phone edition PDA and the Siemens SX56. I have heard from the reviews that the battery life is considerably longer on the SX56 verses the T-mobile. Is that true? Is the hardware slightly different? Any info would be greatly appreciated...
An Newbee...

The only other difference is the color of the device is different (one is more silver and the other is champagne)

Differences? SX56
How come the online reviews rate the SX56 with longer battery life than the T-mobile? Is it in the settings or setup in the backlight or something?

I have many units in both! They are the same hardware and software. The difference is the case color. Both are made by HTC and that is how they differentiate the units.
Myabe the battery life has something to do with the way the units poll the providers. I heard AT&T has better code, but I cannot verify that...

Any external differences between S 2 models?

Probably dumb question (sorry!): Is there any exterior difference between the various 'flavors' of S2?
I'm mostly interested in differences that would affect a dock/car dock or a case as I'm about to order some stuff from the UK (mobilefun.co.uk). Now that's for the i9100, and I've got the T-Mobile variant
I'd been assuming that all S2s were the same externally (just different radios, antennas, etc.) - but now I see separate car docks for the At&T model and the T-Mobile model. I'm hoping that that's just some sort of marketing deal Samsung has with those carriers, but I thought I'd better check before making a trans-Atlantic oops.
Thanks!
I ran into the same thing with carrier specific cases. I believe the AT&T version has the speaker on the right instead of the left. Not sure about the T-mobile. Maybe check pictures/360 view on their website. They should have pics of their model not generic Samsung pics.
Good luck.
You should look up the specs of the individual phones. The T-Mobile version is bigger than the ATT and i9100 versions. From what I can tell the i9100 and the ATT versions are the same dimensionally. I'm using that ATT home and car docks with my i9100.
Yes there are some differences, especially between international models and USA versions,
for example, i've noticed a certain american version (forgot which one) has a bigger screen,
also another american version (AT&T) the buttons at the bottom of the phone are different than the international version.
Other than the internal differences ofcourse.
cheers
I found the multiple pages inside samsung's us website for the versions going to the different carriers:
t-mobile version 5.11" x 2.71" x .37" weight 4.77 display 4.52"
at&t version 5.15" x 2.75" x .37" weight 4.66 display 4.50"
sprint version 5.11" x 2.74" x .38" weight 4.60 display 4.52"
The speakers are, indeed, in different places, and the t-mobile version back is quite different, covers the entire back, including the speaker, which is on the left, as you look directly at the back.
I also ended up with a 'near field' equipped battery, so I guess there's gear to drive that as well.
Glad I asked, as I'd have ordered the wrong case from the UK. Pity as I really wanted that flip-cover screen protector, as I hate looking through screen protectors, but not nearly as much of a pity as having the wrong case in hand and trying to figure if it was worth shipping it back to the UK for a refund.
Thanks everyone!
Pleases note, that this is the wrong forum for the T-mobile SGS2, this is the right forum section.
Just a fyi before you try to flash anything and brick your phone.
Thanks! I hadn't gotten that far (still reading up - and clearly was reading up on the wrong stuff).

[Q] Should I buy Titan or Titan II

Hello all,
I love big screens because I read a lot on phones,
so I decide to buy either the HTC Titan or the Titan II
my question to whom used both phones for a while
please advise which one should I invest my money in
I don't care a lot about camera or LTE network because I live in Egypt and LTE will be available within more than a year
I care a lot about signal strength and phone stability and long live
and somewhat the good looking and feel in hands
will the Titan I metal body be better than the Titan II plastic body?
I'll be waiting for your comments
and many thanks in advance
I have owned a Titan since January and find it to be one of the nicer Windows Phone 7 handsets after owning a few, However after trying a Nokia Lumia Have now ordered a Lumia 900, Screen size is 4.3" compared to 4.7" but has amoled screen and some nice Nokia Apps, Maybe worth considering? Can't comment on the Titan2 as Not available in UK yet but does look abit plasticky.

Thanks for your opinion,
and yes I know that the lumia phones are great, I've checked them at germany my self, they look great
but to be honest with you I prefer SLCD screens over AMOLED screens,
in reading small text AMOLED screens are horrible, but SLCD are great
as I said I read a lot of emails, news, and books on phones

Overall Performance is identical.. imo i like the look of the titan II but not enough to actually replace the reg titan... And the whole non removable battery i dislike... If for example i dropped the phone in water i would go for the battery OH WAIT you can't
can't speak on the titan2 but i have had my titan since november and its been rocksolid.its been dropped and accidently flung a few times and no problems.i use a rubber case and screen protector as the environments i work in are harsh. Great phone and excellent operating system. camera is good and the spec stands up to the recently released 900 and titan2 win7.5 phones. if you don't need lte and 16 mb camera then the titan is the one i would choose as they've sorted all the bugs that some of the titans had.
OK, but what about call quality on the Titan I
and rceiption bugs
I had a Titan until I shattered the screen. So, I got a Titan II.
Both are great phones, but you may as well get the Titan II for the extra benefits (camera, LTE, etc). It will not hurt you.

thanks for the advice
it seams that I'll go for the Titan II at least to avoid the Titan I bugs

as i said they have sorted the bugs and as far as call quality mine has been excellent from day one.from what i've seen and read most of the problems have been ATandT.

Mostly since things are fixed with updates while AT&T sucks at that
it does seem atandt titans had more than their share of problems where as the european unlocked titans have been for the most part very good. a couple issues with the early release pre nov 2011 but from nov on a good phone with regular updates

so you guys confirms that an unlocked version of the Titan I and recent made will be good and mostly bug free
I quess so
but I think the Titan I still a risky choice
but I love its metal body,
oh !!!.... god I'm very confused
Personally like the metal finish on Titan 1. I had mine since January and no complaints. Likely be able to pick it up for cheaper price too since the titan 2 is out. Both are pretty much the same phone with the exception of lte and camera.
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA

that is good,
but i don't like htc to attach the antennaes in the backdoor cover
this is mostly the reason that many members complain about poor receiption
may be I'll buy the Titan II with a good rubber cover for it to protect its body
but if any body has more advices I appreciate him/her
does anybody has more advices?

Is this battery OK

I bought some supposed OEM Samsung spare batteries for my note. Model number on them are EB615268VU where the original that came with my phone is EB615268VA.
The VA which came w/ my phone says "finished in Korea".........The VU I purchased says "finished in China". My initial instinct tells me the VU (China) might not perform as well as the VA (Korea). Anyone have knowledge about this... thoughts, insights, information. thanks

Quick search of model number and this should answer your question:

Thanks. I'm not at all challenging your reply. I'm just trying to "know for sure". Is this an opinion of yours or do you actually now this as being a fact that it is indeed the same components ( therefore performing as well). thank you
I'm not sure how to prove they are the equivalent. Everything we say here is to some extent opinion. But if Agoattamer gives his opinion I would jump in with both feet.
If it helps you decide, I bought two and the charger and they perform a little better than the stock battery it replaced, because it was at the end of its life. But there is some variability from battery to battery and phone to phone so your results will be different from mine.
The phones themselves are made in Korea and China also.
Some say the Korean builds are of a more consistent build quality...
My phone was made in Korea, my sister's in China i haven't noticed a difference in them, or their batteries.
I also bought a second oem battery which is Chinese, bout the same performance or of each.

[Q] Sub-Model and Case Fitment?

Been searching for a case to order so I will have it ready to go when my Note II finally ships. However, I'm seeing some information on ebay indication that some of the cases only fit the GT-N7100 model and will not fit other sub-models? I was under the impression that there was no difference is shape/size among any of the carrier variants? Can someone confirm?
Here's just one such case that I found that alludes to fitment differences among the variants.
Black Flip Case for Note II
I have heard talks about the edges may being different, but I really doubt it. This hasn't been confirmed and from the leaked pictures the phones look exactly the same. I'm pretty sure the only reason the USA has different models is due to carrier frequencies and technologies (GSM & CDMA).

I hope you're right and am keeping my fingers crossed. However, it does give me pause in pre-purchasing some accessories for the phone.
I was hoping there was a way to use the front cover with replacement battery door and a case but it looks impossible unless someone made one specifically for it. You would think Samsung would have had the genius to design one.

Bought Another V60 And It Weighs Completely Differently

Hey Guys,
I just had to buy another v60 because I had purchased an AT&T version while using T-Mobile. The phone works until July when Tmo phases outs some legacy bands. So I bought a proper T-Mobile LG V60. I went all out and bought a genuine new one and its great but I noticed it weighs A LOT LESS than my previous AT&T. Its weighs 7.6oz, which matches specs, so I'm not worried, but its my older AT&T I'm wondering about, it weighs 8.2oz! I always thought it was heavy and just attributed it to the 5000mah batt. Can anyone with an AT&T confirm that theirs is also that heavy(8.2oz)??
It's possible that the difference in weight is due to the modem (i. e. CDMA vs. GSM, if that applies). Other than that, I don't know what else could be the cause.

Ok thanks for the input. It's like a brick compared to my new phone. It even stays cooler longer because of the extra mass when charging. I've searched the forums, reddit and Google and can't find any reference to the extra weight. I guess you wouldn't notice unless you had bought two different versions of the phone though.
