Hi,
I want to connect my XDA to my car radio to hear the navi messages loud and clear. In doing so i have the following problems.
1) My radio (Woodstock DAB52) has a Navi-In with an impedance of 1kOhm/10V. What impedance has the Audio-Out at the XDA-connector? Can I make a direct connect?
2) Apart from the NF connect i also need a small circuit to generate the Radio-Mute signal for the radio. Has someone done this before?
Any help would be appreciated.

I am going mad -
before upgrading to WM2003 SE - my bluetrek G2 worked fantastically.
NOW
it sets it up as handsfree device - I hear people through the headset but people only hear me through the mike on the XDA - the bluetrek microphone seems to be "disabled" in handsfree mode.
ANY ideas how to enable the microphone on the bluetek headset so it is in HEADSET mode and not through the microphone input on the XDA ?
I have been looking for an aswer to same problem. Hopefully we can find something together.
Problem solved
When I upgraded to 2003 SE I had three main problems and spent hours trying to solve them:
1) Bluetooth handsfree automatically kicked in - when I needed headset mode - rendered my bluetrek headset useless.
2) e-mail attachments - enormous problems downloading and sending attachments
3) alarm clock - not ringing
I have solved all 3 problems by reinstalling the 2003 se rom using the rom of 2.06 instead of the "merged" rom which was causing me the above three problems - when upgrading be careful and beware of country code errors - I am no expert but I used the rom upgrade of Hery and reupgraded and am happy with the result. Every time upgrading is a dangerous excersise and if you like me just want a machine that works and not really technically minded - beware of upgrading. I was able to but was nervous the whole way through. They say version 2.06 hangs but its been OK for me. I do not have wizcom on my machine but the only bluetooth I use is the headset and for GPS which work with the microsoft bluetooth protocol.
Good luck
I have Just Purchased and Installed the Parrot CK3100 Bluetooth Hands Free Car Kit. :- Here is the Outcome
1. Installed Very Easily Within The Hour
2. Discoverd the Hands Free Profile and Paired First Time
3. Phone Connects and Disconnect Automatically
4. Sound is Piped through the Cars Audio Speakers and mutes the radio
5. Display Shows Phone Name ie Pocket PC and Network OK but no signal or battery strength Display.
6. Voice Recognition Through The Parrot is Very Good
7. When Call Comes in the Ringing is Played Through The Car Speakers and If Voice Tag been Recored Name is Played Too.
8. regognised +44 or normal numbers
9. More than 1 number per contact.
10. there is no auto contact sync, but a Bluetooth Contact Push worked first time.
11. Caller Name On Display if in phonebook, otherwise number when receiving a call
I am very supprised at the functions this kit has, i read very carefully through this forum and notice no one really did a review of this kit. the firmware on my version is the latest v4.11 and the only problem i have was i wired the ignition and perm live the wrong way round. this was easy to correct as they were both fused Holdered and just swapped the fuse cap over.
you will know if you have wired them correct by the following, if the display just turnes off when turning the ignition off , they are they wrong way round and any setting you changed will not be saved,
if the display say Disconnecting, then goodbye then the wiring is correct,
It uses standar ISO connectors and you may need a adaptor depending on you radio and vechile make.
all in all i very happy with this and only cost £84.00 with postage from

I see they also do a CK3300, which has intergrated Satellite Navigation
I'm going to order one today
I bought a CK3100 as I already have a BT GPS and am happy with the telephone part for my XDA IIs but for the life of me I cannot get TomTom directions to go through my car speakers.
I have tried WM2k3se/WM5 and I still cannot do it.
If anyone has found a way can they let me know?
Ta.

i was also interested in that point. i thought it would be very useful hearing voice instructions on the car speakers. but for now, i prefer not to use that feature beacause may have a lot of interruptions when you're driving in a city or there is a lot of change of directions (or something making tomtom speak).
HaganRE - How on earth did you get ur contacts onto it. THe only way I can get it to go is by an BT Beam Contact but I have nearly 400 contacts.
I have to say that the Parrot CS is even worse than O2. They tell me that it will auto-synchronise and that I must have my PDA set up wrong. Numpty's.
So - no tomtom through stereo and no auto-sync makes me think the Sony or god forbid a Nokia might be better.

Its not a great solution but you can take an output from the headphone socket and feed this into the aux in on your car stereo.
I did this to listen to mp3's via media player and found out tomtom5 nav instructions come through as well.
Parott CK3100 Contacts and TomTom
Unfortunatly you cannot get tomtom Audio over the bluetooth connection.
and you cannot autosync with it either for contacts, if you open your address book, and select all your contacts you can beam them over bluetooth, i have 120 and took about 5mins, or just do them 1 at a time
I have the Parrot 3000 evolution and the sounds quality for people I call is terrible - is the sound quality with the 3100 better on the XDA IIs? has anyone had issues with sound quality with BT carkits?
Thanks

Successfully upgraded my Qtek 8500 (UK) with both the Cingular and QTEK latests ROM
Works great.
Using for 2 days and now my microphone feeds everything back through earpiece and no one hears anything other end.
Same with walk and talk headset.
Works fine when working with bluetooth headset or car kit.
Is this a hardware fault and just coincidence, or have I messed up the registry or Radio etc.
Anyone seen similar.
Many thanks
Try a hard reset. Sounds like something may be corrupt in your audio managment files.
Just tried a hard reset, but no joy I'm afraid.
I have reloaded the ROM twice as well.
Is there a way to rebuild and reload these management files.
It has to be software as the walk and talk headset uses a different electronic channel and separate mic!
Well that's my theory
http://www.jetwaremobile.com/install.htm
Here's a link to Jetware Mobile's website. Since you are obviously using a Bluetooth headset and a handsfree car kit, it may be that the BT extension is getting twisted up. You can download and install a free trial I believe for 30 days. I did not need this for my BT connections with the QTEK 8500 but these things can be very hardware specific. By the way, did you try the phone after hard reset and prior to pairing with any of your BT devices?
Sorry to clarify, it is the handset mike that is not working.
When used with BT, voice is transmitted OK to recipient.
However using handset by itself all you hear is a slightly delayed repeat of your own voice in the handset earpiece and the call recipient hears nothing.
Thanks

I had a similar thing happen to a Sony Z600 and traced the problem to a resistor that failed. Apparently this controled where to route the audio when a wired headset was plugged in and when it failed everything routed through the headset port vs the speaker. Not sure if this is what's happening to your Qtek, I've got one as well and sometimes it just acts wierd, drops calls, wont hang up, wont recognize key presses but I just attribute it to the MS operating system. By the way, you can pick up Z600's fairly cheap, it's a great 2nd phone & syncs with outlook, I picked up another after my first crapped out with no problems.
I use the Samsung official SGS2 Car dock with an audio cable to my car DVD sytem. When navigating with Google Maps and playing music the phone routes the audio to my car speakers. That's working good.
When I have an incoming call my ringtone comes over the speaker, but when I accept the call the voice is being routed over my phone-speakers.
Is there a custom ROM / mod / app who can fix this?
Bonus question: Why can't the SGS2 use the top 3.5 mm as a video output for my DVD player? Even the Nokia n95/n97 could do this. Anyone?
Thanks
Someone ? Thnx
Dont think anyone knows the answer right ?
Try to go into Bluetooth settings, there you can find all your authorized devices. Long tap on your car device will bring you into services list. Check or uncheck required services. Probably it will help you.
Hello,
i have the same problem.... some a answer for this?
only Calls over the internal speaker.. other sounds over the car-system.
hope some rom could fix this.
facing same prob.
i read somethink and some developers told that, the kernal must root the audio to the docking station.... its a app in the market for this, but its dosn`t work....
i think its the same problem like the galaxy 1...
I use A2DP with JABRA headset e.g. with Sygic + Navigon route planners.
Every time when a spoken instruction is started the BT radio is swithed on but appearently needs some time to go alive and you always miss the first part of the instruction on the headset.
I sincerely hoped (this is my main application for the flyer) that after the official FOTA of HC this would be somehow fixed but sadly it is not.
Does anyone know a workaround or a solution for this?
Is there a way to not switch off the BT radio with silence while BT is switched on? (nevermind the battery use!)
Thanks
Ronald
Clearly I need to find another forum for this issue.
Any suggestions where?
Clearly
Sent from my PG41200 using XDA App
Clearly,,,,
but its not the radio turning off, if the radio turned off, it would disconnect/ this happens on a lot of devices, especially hands-free car devices, they miss the first part of audio when its not continuously streaming. Happens on my Flyer and Moto and Samsung phones with my Moto BT car device. There's no solution available.
