Should I upgrade my XDA II ROMS? - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

Hello.
I purchased my XDA II last November 2003. Since then, I had to hard reset it 24 times now (I counted). It normally happens when I tried making a call when I have a low signal bar and sometimes when I'm sending SMS.
My Device Information are:
ROM Version: 1.03.00 USA
ROM Date: 09/24/03
Radio Version: 10513A0
Protocol Version: 1337.13Q
Model No: PH10B
Unfortunately this is my first PDA so I'm a little hesitant. I also read the topic about flashing ROM's and it made me afraid to tinker around with it.
So should I upgrade? To what version? Is it possible to "rollback" an upgrade if it doesnt work?
Thanks for any info.
r/Alex

The Texting Problem

Hi, I've had my hero for about 2 months now. I suddenly found out that I have not been receiving my texts, since I don't know when. I tried texting to someone, and it also does not work. Looking around the forum, I did not find a solution, but I did see that some people have had this problem. My hero is unlocked GSM that is flashed and has the following info:

Kernel Version:
2.6.27-mck-teknologist-1.1root at neutrino
Build Number:
MoDaCo Custom ROM 3.1 Core, SSH
Software verssion:

I live in the USA on ATT network. Thank you.

[Q] Whether to ROM?

Hi...
I recently got myself one of these bad boys:
Model Number: YP-G70CB/SSA
Firmware version: 2.2.2
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #1
Build number: FROYO.XXKF1
- It does have the mechanical Home Key - purchased in South Africa.
I'd like to upgrade it to GB or higher Kies just tells me my device is not upgradable??!! Why would that be?
Anyway I have read solidly for two days on this forum and I am inclined to attempt the following ROM: International 5.0 (Rest of World) Eryiğit Custom Rom Default Release 3.0
I just don't know enough whether it's compatible or that it would work or brick?
One thing I really would like out of it which it hasn't at the moment, is to have an ad-Hoc hotspot running on it for others to connect to a small web server... is that possible with the ROM above or am I going to have to wait or try something else?
Any advice much appreciated - Shot dot Com...
See above
Sigh...

[Q] Debranding O2 UK Mozart

I have a Mozart here which appears to have NoDo but it is O2 branded, I have searched for a way to fix this but nothing appears to be the same problem that I have.
I tried following the stickied debranding Mozart topic but am still getting the error so wondered if there was any suggestions by anyone.
Phones info:
OS Version: 7.0.3930.0
Firmware Revision Number: 2250.21.14102.206
Hardware Revision Number: 0004
Radio Software Version: 5.66.09.09_22.46.50.21U
Radio Hardware Version: A.102.0.D4
Bootloader Version: 1.41.2250.2(121027)
Chip SOC version: 2.2.5.0
I first flashed 'RUU_Mozart_O2_UK_1.41.206.02_5.66.09.09_22.46.50_RELEASE' to it and then tried 'RUU_Mozart_HTC_Europe_1.30.401.01_5.54.09.21_22.33b.50_RELEASE' with the branded exe and it gives the invalid vendor id error, I put this down to it being an older version, so again tried with a newer version 'RUU_Mozart_S_HTC_Europe_5.13.401.01_5.71.09.02a_22.51.50_RELEASE' and this gave the same error so I have no idea what to try now apart from the Y-Cable possibly working so thought I would see if anyone else has any tips?
Thanks in advance

[Q] SMS question

Hi everybody, I got a Lumia 800 and everything works fine, the only "problem" I am having is that even though I have all my contacts saved/linked to Windows live, etc, whenever I get a new SMS, it shows only the number and not the contact's name, that does not happens if I get the message via MSN, in that case I do get the contact's name. I was reading all over internet and found that someone else is having that same issue, and post it on a Microsoft forum, but that was since April 2012 and have no replies, so, I hope that in here some expert guy can help me...
Here are the phone's informatio:
Model: Nokia Lumia 800
Software: Windows Phone 7.5
OS Version: 7.10.8107.79
Firmware revision number: 1600.2483.8107.11501
Hardware revision number: 112.1402.2.4
Radio Software version: 1.6.00.24
Radio Hardware version: 8255
Bootloader version: 7.35.0.0
Chip SOC version: 0.74.2.1
I know I am suppose to have an update, but again, I've been reading on different forums and found that after that update, users gets some problems, so, I haven't do it yet. Again, I hope that someone can help me with the SMS issue so that I know who is contacting me.
Thanks in advance.
