Hi
MS do a microsoft reader encarta dictionary for free. If you get tomeraider then you can use wikipedia, a 180mb encyclopedia. at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Database_download.
Regards
Simon

Sorry, link should be http://download.wikimedia.org/ and follow the Tomeraider link at the bottom. Tomeraider can be found at http://www.tomeraider.com/ - Very useful.
Hope this helps.

Lextionary
Have a look @ this. It's better than the MS offering IMHO.

I prefer AW RoadLingua Absolute World

I like and use Lextionary, it can be found at:

Hi!
Let's try this site: eitcenter.com. It's a site that compiles tremendous freewares for pocketpc, the site is in Thai language though. Anyway, the software titles are all in Eng and you'll sure get some senses of what they do. Cheers

www.armadillo.trousers.btinternet.co.uk/ppcfree.htm

Google for it. It is there. That is how I found it.

It can be found here. It's on the FTP, so no need to look too far.
I know sometimes it can be hard to find things here using the search feature, but if you search these forums using Google, it makes things a little easier.

dictionary?

Hello
Does anyone know of a decent dictionary for WM6? I tried to install the WordNet CE, following the instructions (http://www.ebswift.com/PocketPC/WordNet/)... But my phone says it's not suitable for this program and installation was unsuccesful.
Thanks!

Wordbook
'Wordbook' is available via Marketplace. It's superb, but not free! It is worth the money though if you regularly need to check words like me! Pretty useful for crossword puzzles too
Thanks for the suggestion!
Any other ones?

[Q] Graffiti for Android

I was wondering if anyone knew were I could download Graffiti for Android?
http://www.appbrain.com/app/graffiti-for-android/com.access_company.graffiti
I can find the pay version on both the Archos 101 and my epic's market app, but not the free version. I would really like to try the free version first before dropping some change on the full app.
So, if anyone can access the free version of this app and upload it someplace, that would be greatly appreciated.
I found this to be helpful for me:
- Use a search engine and type in the website "search.4shared.com/q/1/.apk" (or just put www in front of it. I can't post a full website cuz I'm a noob user). = P
- I used Yahoo for my search engine, typed in the "Search4..." website and searched for "Graffiti."
For the Graffiti App, I don't know if that will suffice and if it's exactly what you're looking for but try it out and see if it's the Full or Free Version?
Good luck.
The website doesnt have the app. Maybe you should look on getandroidstaff.com , mobilism.com or on arctablet.com. i look for it now, if i find, i tell you...
Didnt found, sry, but i found something else very interesting: http://getandroidstuff.com/8pen-android-keyboard-video-preview/
Ok, i tryed it... very hard , you noeed too practise.
The free version is on Amazon apps.
Pretty cool, but it couldn't keep up. Maybe the pro version is better?
I'm significantly faster with Swiftkey...

powerpoint help

OK I have olive, documents to go, think free office, and have tried pretty much all of them and can still not figure out how to create a PowerPoint presentation with slides already saved to my gtab. Can someone please help me out with this problem please
So.....no body knows anything about this?
I've no idea what your question is. I higuly suggest quickoffice hd. Look in the apps section.

First post in that thread has dl link to qoffice tablet version.
i really appreciate your attempt to help me but as you can see if you read my original post i've tried pretty much all microsoft office apps (including the one you posted to me) and i cannot find out how to create a power point presentation using the slides i already have saved to my tablet. Again, i'm thankful for your attempt, but, as a general rule, if you don't even understand the question then you should probably just move on.

I have also tested most Office suites for Android and have not found a reliable replacement for a notebook/netbook. I guess that if you want to create a ppt you won't be able to do it with a tablet that is not based on windows. You could try Picsel Smart Office.
I don't use powerpoint so I'm not sure what complexity you are looking for.
The online help for Office Suite Pro has a tutorial for creating creating PowerPoint presentations on your android device.
Sorry if this does not help, like I said I don't use powerpoint
