Hi guys,
I have to compliment Stefan for personally e-mailing me back about a problem I was having and pointing me here. Hopefully I can become a little less clueless through the forums.
When using kitchen, I get the ROM.EXE update. I understand I run this on my PC. My phone is a Wallaby, with WM2003 first edition. I've written down my t-mobile settings and I'm ready to flash it. However, when attempting to run the ROM.EXE program, I getting the following error:
Code:
ERROR 011: EXECUTE REMOTE COMMUNICATION PROGRAM ERROR
Cannot execute the remote communication progra,
Please make sure that the USB/Serial cable is properly connected.
The phone is connected to the PC directly over USB through it's cradle and I have ActivSync 3.7.1 running. Any ideas what my problem could be?[/code]

Alrighty, after reading those, I figured I had to write the WM2k3SE ROM to a SD card. After extracing the NK.NBF from the ROM.EXE I have to a directory, I fire up the XDA OS IMAGE TOOL and select it in the SOURCE. I choose "SD CARD" for my destination and produce the following error:
Code:
NK.NBF: Incorrect Filesize(33554464), file size should be exactally 32505888 bytes. Error opening input file.
A quick search of the forums didn't show anything that might apply. According to these wiki instructions this looks like the correct thing to do. Is it possible that I have a bad kitchen rom?
Because of an different Memory Usage of the WM2003SE ROM, thes ROMs could only be flashed via EXE. OSImagetool used for writing this file to SD-Card reports an incorrect Filesize. If you have installed a T-Mobile ROM that prohibits upgrading via EXE-File (you get an error in the DOS-Box) you have to downgrade your phone to 3.17.03 via SD-Card and then use the WM2003SE ROM....
OK, but is the procedure I'm following correct? Download a WM2003FE ROM.EXE at version 3.17.03 and then extract the NK.NKF from the executable and flash with that? This will allow me to use the ROM.EXE of my WM2003SE kitchen image instead of using the OSI tool? (If this works, I'm going to go add to the wiki).
The file "xx" cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate...
I keep getting this error whenever I try to open a couple applications, like Navizon, HTC Home Customizer, MS Live Search, and a lot more (but googlemaps and a few work just fine). Anyways I flashed to a DCD 3.0.1 rom I cooked... I added a few apps from the titan kitchen by copying the OEM folders into the DCD OEM folder and it all went pretty fine....
has anyone ever encountered these errors? I think I'm gonna have to cook a clean rom with just the basics and have to install everything one by one again unless someone knows what to do..
I had the exact same problem.
you didn't include the .NET framework in your build.
re-cook with that option selected, and those apps will work.

im using dcd 3.0.1 kitchen, i dont even see it listed as an option and i thought it was already built in anyway
Did this ever get resolved? I am having the same issue with Garmin and I know I have .net installed
if you are installing to a memory card, try installing to main memory... that worked for me with MusicID
Bump having this issue helpplease
trying to install or try some different Radio cabs I keep getting this error few other programs as well fairly new so I am pretty confused. oh this is is on My Kaiser Tilt though was hoping not to have to start a whole new thread.
getting the same error message
i keep getting the following error message
"The file 'xx' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file."
every time i do a soft reset all my installed programs get like this, and i have to reinstall them for them to work. This only happens to the applications i've installed on my own, not the ones that come with the phone.
if there is anyone out there who has a solution, please let me know.

SOLUTION!!!
Most of the cases this is not a CERTIFICATE problem-
if you go to your file explorer and look for the PROGRAM FILES directory you will be surprise -
actually this happens when you install cabs on the storage card - those apps write temp files all the time - so when you take out your SD card - those apps continue writing this temp files -
in the bottom line = go to your device and rename the FOLDER storage card to storage old -
now you will see the icon for your SD CARD next to the name STORAGE CARD 2-
the last thing is to remove the SD CARD an re insert it again - now you will see that it return to its original name (STORAGE CARD) .
enjoy
Thank you mate, same problem here solved with your help

I'm trying to cook a custom rom using DogGuy's kitchen, and am adding a few nueTools, including nuePackageInstaller. Everything cooks fine, and the program starts up fine -- I'm using the windows installer version of .net CF 3.5. When I click "select package", I get the following error:
An unexpected error has occurred in nuePackageInstaller.exe.
Select Quit and then restart this program, or select Details for more information.
File or assembly name 'ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib, Version=0.85.4.369, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null', or one of its dependancies was not found.
So, do I need to cook another program in for this to work? Any ideas where to find it? Am I missing something here? The other nueTools work.
EDIT: I found my answer:

My PPC6800 has trouble locking up (poor memory allocation) and then today, all messaging was gone. Called Sprint and got the typical "do a hard reset" response. After going through that, needed to reinstall apps that were on my device. One of them was MS Voice Command. After uninstalling it from device and PC, I re-downloaded from application site and then when I have tried to reinstall on device I keep getting this message:
The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'Microsoft Voice Command US PPC 1.60 for M2M.msi' in the box below (the path is a temp path and when I do a search on the hard drive this file is no where to be found even after installing the file from the download)
Have searched all over for a solution. Don't know if this is a Voice Command problem, a HTC problem, an Active Sync problem or a Windows installer problem. Thanks for any help you can provide in advance.
Download the find again to Desktop then run it. You can seach for .cab file os VC and copy over to the mogul and install it that way.
Hello,
I began to develop an Android application with Visual Studio and Xamarin (C#).
I'm testing it with a LG G3 / Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
My AndroidManifest file has permissions "WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE" and "READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE".
This application has to be used to collect events (entered by the user) and the list of these events must be read by an application that runs on a PC.
The application creates a "log.csv" file in a directory "/data/user/0/com.xxx.xxx/files".
THIS DIRECTORY AND THIS FILE are visible with "es explorer" from the phone but ARE INVISIBLE from the PC file explorer.
I tried several other directories (sdcard root, sdcard directory on root, ...) with the same results : file found from phone, file not found from PC !
After searching for several hours, I have found no explanation.
Does anyone have any idea?
Thanks,
Bob
Oooops
Hello,
I must have been very tired last night, this morning the problem is solved ... but I do not know why.
Sorry,
Bob
I really don't know why but :
in "DEBUG" mode : the files are NOT VISIBLE from PC
in "RELEASE" mode : the files are VISIBLE from PC
