I've installed the newest version of Pocket Bluetooth Tools on O2 XDAII with latest O2 ROM release. Two problems:
- the XDA II does not go into standby mode after answering a call
- bluetooth remains active instead of switching off after x minutes (the clock on the screen is white).
What am I doing wrong ?
Thanks,
Can I just bump up this question again. I'm very happy with Pocket Bluetooth Tools, accept for the powerdrain caused by bluetooth being on. PBT is supposed to switch is off automatically after a minute, but I find, even when it goes all the way around and goes completely white, bluetooth does not switch off.
Has anyone else found a solution to this problem? Im using the latest rom from O2 (1.66 I think).
Regards
Surur
I am running 1.66WWE latest version of rom on my XDA ii and the latest bluetooth tools and it shuts down bluetooth perfectly, it counts roudn getting greyer and at the end it goes fully white and the blue light stops flashing to indicate that bluetooth is turned off, however the XDAII's bluetooth section still reports it as on and the headset symbol stays enabled, but if i press the button on my headset i cannot get into the phone screen so it is definatly working on mine,
It must be another piece of software stopping it powersaving on your one, or something wrong in the registry maybe?

This problem has been driving me crazy for over a year now. Sometimes, about once a month, when I pick up my XDA it seems to have lost network connection.
Symptoms
- The network icon has dots below it, indicating it is searching for the network. This is quite stupid since I am at home and the reception is very good.
- The backlight is turned off and won't turn on
- The device cannot be charged, the light doesn't change to yellow even if I'm sure that the device has very little battery power.
When I softreset the device, I see the startup screen. The backlight flashed on and off constantly, and, again, the device doesn't seem to be able to connect to the network. It hangs at the startup screen - still the backlight flashing on and off - and the only option I have is to full reset it.
WHY OH WHY.
I have had this problem since I upgraded to WM2003 en with 2003SE I still have this problem.
Please help. Am I the only one.
Anyone?
Zendrui,
In the previous versions from PZP I had problems connection to the Dutch T-mobile GPRS. I could only connect once to T-Mobile, after that I couldn't reconnect until a softreset. This is a common problem for many T-Mobile users with a T-Moble MDA Compact.
In my case the cause of this problem was definitely PZP, because after uninstalling PZP the problem was gone. Even a hardrest and install of a standard PZP as only program caused the same problem. I wrote to you about it a few times. For me a reason to not use PZP anymore for a while.
BUT NOW: I installed PZP 6.0 beta 2 yesterday and my problem is gone!!! I can reconnect as often I want, it always succeeds! Bravo Zendrui for the new architecture of PZP, I'm happy...
Only one question about the vibrate function: as mentioned I have a T-Mobile MDA Compact. When I choose a profile with the vibrate function this works fine. But when I press the speaker symbol on the Today screen it indicates that the ON button is selected instead of the Vibrate button. Is that normal (as said the vibrate function works fine...)???
Is there a registry tweak to allow the speakerphone to stay enabled when you close the flip? Currently it ends the call.
I believe the same thing happened with the old MPx220 and the MPx200 but nothing was ever figured out for these phones.
I would like to know this as well.
Bump - Speakerphone while lid closed...
Any news on this?
My Googling is telling me thus far - NO! NO! and NO!
Any Russian Gurus care to negate this?
speakerphone
Ok, I am trying to figure this out, here is what I have so far,
I have two 3125's, one was running an old dopod rom and the other the most recent Cingular release. (will get numbers later)
On the old phone, if I hit the "lock keys setting" (press and hold home button), while on a call with the speaker phone on, I can close the phone, the call continues and the outer display shows the call info (ie, who the call is to and connection time)
One the newer phone, with the same setting, the phone just hangs up when you close it.
I backed up the old phone with sprite backup, then ran sprite on the newer phone thinking maybe the registry setting would carry over (in case I was missing something), but the newer phone still just hung up when closed during a call.
After several rom changes I remembered why I quit using the old phone, the charging port came loose and does not work, so my guess would be that the old phone stays on due to the broken charging port, what leads me to this is of course if you have the headset in, the phone can be closed while on a call.
Where does that leave us? It would seem that the issue is not a registry value change (although I won't give up on trying to find one) but a software issue and until someone figures out how to change it were are stuck with no closed speaker phone.
hi to all xda family, i need ur help please.
i am using imate jasjam hermes 100, i am having an annoying problem with my set. The front buttons of my jasjam stop working suddenly, but the light behind the bottom two call buttons still remains on even i go to stand by time using side power key. Sometimes the screen fades away and a blank white screen appears. It seems to me that the the cell hangs temporarily as after sometime it starts working fine (in some cases i have to soft reset the device). but in the scenario described above my cell is in on state as if someone calls me, i can hear the caller tone. i just wanna ask to all of you that if it is a software problem or a hardware problem and how to solve that.
i am using joshkoss manila2d plane jane version with radio rom 1.16.0.0 and hardspl 2.10 installed. i've also tried tai 6.5 roms, but the problem still exists.
Hi
I have a parrot handsfree MKi9200 installed and it's been working fine. But since 3 latest updates on my S II, it's been acting odd. I'm now at version 4.0.4.
Problem is when connecting to the parrot it's ´stuck for some 20-25 seconds. When it's done doing whatever it's doing i get a message on the phone in a grey boks. It's in danish, but it's something about bluetooth has stopped syncronization. I have to press OK on the phone to get grey boks to dissappear. This also happens if i call someone and obviosly at some point hang up, then i get that odd message again and phone is stuck until it has done "something". On the display of the parrot device, i see the symbol for sync running while it's going on.
Is it some Bluetooth setting i need to tick somewhere that has been enabled within last 3 Android updates?
Cheers
Rathsach
It maybe that the parrot bluetooth software needs updating. Check your manual to see how to updae the software.
Bluetooth updates on the phone download newer versions of the sofftware which may not be compatible with the version of the parrot.
